Guy is a generous and engaging host. We were greeted with the offer of a cup of tea or a glass of wine and shown our rooms. We enjoyed a delicious supper of Boeuf Bourguignon with mash and fresh vegetables, sitting with Guy, his son and a lodger, at an old oak table under the watchful eyes of the portraits of Guy's great grandparents. The Elizabethan house with charming beams and Tudor-style windows is characterful. It is a longstanding family home (Guy himself was born in it). The house, annex, and side buildings are set in a pretty garden. It is the last house down the somewhat pot-holed, hawthorn-lined lane after the farm. Guy (and his lodger, Russell) are accomplished cooks - as well as the dinner, we enjoyed a superb English breakfast with good scrambled egg, nice local bread, etc... Excellent WiFi. Free, easy parking.
The B&B is homely rather than grand, and you will be treated as part of the household (unless you choose stay away in your room or the annex). It is worth noting that the house has the air of a bachelor pad, with some resultant paraphernalia and idiosyncrasies, and there is Winston, a friendly yellow lab, who is a welcoming host, but worth being aware of if you are nervous of dogs.

A lovely farmhouse in the Surrey countryside. We had the 2 rooms in the annexe which are perfect for a family, as you have sole use of the kitchen / diner / sitting room. Much better than a standard B&B. Our host, Guy was excellent, from welcoming us in, to cooking an amazing breakfast. You pay a little extra for the cooked breakfast options but it's well worth it. Guy also offered us Sunday dinner and evening meals but unfortunately we weren't around in the evenings until later but we'll definitely take up this option the next time we stay. The leg of lamb looked very good! Overall an excellent option for families, couples or solo travellers needing a good quality B&B in the Godalming area. Easily accessible for London Waterloo on a 35 minute train from Guildford. The Dunsfold Top Gear track is very close by so this would make an ideal stay for anyone doing track experience days there, too. Highly recommended.

Guy is a wonderful host and owner in what is a beautiful old farmhouse with lots of character and historical features (mind your head on the beams). It has its own unique charm & relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful escape and getting away from it all. From the initial welcome, we knew we'd found a hidden gem, and we were looked after by Guy throughout our time there. Breakfast is toast and cereals, with excellent homemade fresh bread each morning, included in the price of the booking. Alternatively, for a very reasonable £12, a wonderful cooked breakfast I can recommend. Overall, it was a perfect escape, great value for money, and a place I'd love to return to stay without any hesitation whenever in this area.
Nothing not to like.

The B and B Dunsford (Hurst Hill) was an interesting stay… the older portion of the house we stayed in was well over 500 years old and it was made with used wood (maybe from ships), some of the used timber was determined by a carpenter to be as much as 1000 years old. The doors were very short in the old section… I brought home many souvenirs from the house on the front of my head… I had a very large collection of lumps. I hit my head on the way in and on the way out… not smart enough to learn to duck. The stay was perfect in every way. The room was very nice and had a private bath. The owner’ dog (Winston) was very nice and good company. The location was remotely located south of London down single track roads which turned to gravel at the end. The road was in good shape compared to many we experienced in the U.K. It was very quiet at night and we slept well. The location was perfect to make short trips to see all the sights to the west, south and south east of London. Guy was an excellent host and he could cook. We were always invited to the family dinner in the evening and joined his family and the other guests at a large table and enjoyed several very nice meals with great conversation, there is a cost of 15.00 pounds per guest for the evening meal; but, it was well worth the money. Breakfast came with the cost of the stay and it was perfectly prepared with fresh bread still warm from the oven which went very well with free range chicken eggs, sausage, mushrooms and bacon. The gardens were beautiful and quite extensive around the property. Allen was an 89 year old gardener that knew what he was doing and managed to raise perfectly beautiful flowers and plants. He was one of those slow but steady types and was able to accomplish as much as a young man. His efforts resulted in many beautiful types of flowers and the smell of roses all around the property.

Not your average B&B. This was more like your home from home feel or staying with friends. Hosts were very accomodating. Location was a little remote but we liked it. Although a B&B they were happy to cook a full english if required and also an evening meal at a small cost. Don't expect 5* hotel feel as this is a country cottage/ farmhouse with a very cozy feel to it.

The owner was very accommodating and went out of his way to help me. I left each day earlier than normal breakfast was planned, and the owner offered to get up and cook for me which was a nice touch. I did not take him up on it as it was not his fault I was up and out early.
Didn't realise I was booking a B&B when I booked, probably would not have booked if I had known, room had no way of locking having latches only on the doors. The owner closed of part of the house to give me single access.

The location was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The building is a beautiful piece of history and a pleasure stay in. I loved being in the space; the rooms, the bathroom and the dining room are all so cosy and welcoming. The host is great to chat with, very friendly and helpful with anything we needed and the breakfast was spot on!
Nothing stuck out to me as needing improving. It exceeded my expectations in so many respects. I've pinned down as a place I absolutely must return to.

Guy our host is sociable, welcoming and helpful. Fantastic experience in a beautiful location, historic building with original features. Guy was a fantastic host, opening his home to us all. Great cook and service for us. Everything was of high quality and we had an amazing holiday experience. Beautiful pubs nearby serving lovely dishes of food with traditional old fashioned featurse and comfort.

The lovely host was very accommodating when our flight was delayed due to adverse weather conditions. The room was warm and cosy, and we both had a comfortable night's sleep. We were offered a great selection of breakfast choices in the main house, which included freshly baked bread. The location was just perfect for visiting our family.
We did not use the kitchen facilities.
