The room was exceptionally spacious, featuring a generous closet for luggage and a separate one for outerwear. The kitchenette was thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials, including dish soap and paper towels, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay. The property’s location—right by the sea and within walking distance of restaurants and the downtown area—was ideal. Additional touches such as the fireplace and Chromecast-enabled television added to the overall comfort. The bed was large and very comfortable, and both the check-in and housekeeping staff were notably friendly and helpful.

While the breakfast offering did not fully meet expectations given the hotel's price point—particularly during what appeared to be high season—it was nonetheless appreciated. Guests were required to collect breakfast from the main building and bring it back to their rooms, which may not suit everyone's preferences. Additionally, as European guests, we were somewhat disappointed that smoking was not permitted on the balcony, which limited our ability to fully enjoy the outdoor space

Location was excellent; the staff were friendly, helpful & always on hand. Breakfast room was small & all the guests seemed to share tables & exchange their experiences on Vancouver Island, which added to our enjoyment.The weather too added to our stay at the Waterfront Inn, being as the title says, on the Waterfront. Now back home in Ireland we are telling family & friends about this wonderful gem we discovered in Sidney BC. & recommending it for their visit to the island. I'm not sure, but the Waterfront Inn seemed like a family run business which is rare to find today. Well done to you all & thank you Mai & Mike Garvey .

Enjoyable stay at the Waterfront Inn & Suites in Sidney, BC. This was the last night of my one-week poke around on Vancouver Island. It is located on the boardwalk in downtown Sidney, BC, a short distance from the BC Ferry terminal and the ferry to Tsawwassen, BC. I stayed in the newer annex, on the 2nd floor overlooking the harbour. Nearby shops are fun to explore. The Riva Restaurant is in the same complex. It was a great area to hang out on my last night before heading home to the Okanagan.

Proximity to waterfront. Staff. Cleanliness of room. Help from front desk staff upon my late arrival helping me carry suitcase up stairs. Thank you.

My room was at the top of the stairs and the early morning noise/ chatter of other guests milling about stairs was a little annoying. Lights in the trees along side of Riva restaurant were very bright and shine thru window disrupting my sleep as they shone right where my head was on pillow. I like to keep blackout curtain open a few inches so I am able to wake up as the sunrises. Enabling curtains to be open from left hand side as well as the right would be helpful. Move the couch to beside the bed and the table and chairs to where the couch is so you can sit on the couch to watch tv instead of having to sit in bed.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a Deluxe King Suite at Sidney Waterfront Inn and Suites! The location is within a 10 minute walk to everything in Sidney, and yet it still manages to feel tucked away at the end of Beacon Ave. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the unit was VERY clean. The king bed was firm and comfortable, and the spa tub was an amazing feature of the suite! The bathroom was lovely and large, and also included a large walkin shower. The covered balcony gave us an ocean view, and it was a lovely spot to enjoy our included light breakfast. The kitchenette area was stocked with sufficient dishes, glassware and cutlery, and included a coffee maker, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a mini fridge. The large dining table was handy, as we brought food with us, and the fireplace added to the overall relaxing ambience. The room is VERY spacious, with a storage room and a separate closet for hanging clothes. My feeling is that this room could likely fit at least 2 cots comfortably beside the king bed, perfect for a family to have a fun movie or game night! I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and I continue to be a satisfied guest each time I stay here!

The staff were nice and helpful. Unfortunately, with swing-shut doors, I locked myself out of my room twice. The tub plug wasn't the correct size, and the maintenance fella came up twice with different sizes to try. In the end, I just ended up having to refill the jacuzzi. Hopefully, they will find the correct plug before the next guests arrive, especially if soaking away stress and aches is the focus of their getaway like mine was. All in all, it was a beautiful place to stay..

The location was fantastic, a stones throw away from 3 pubs and many restaurants.

We were up late at my sons wedding and the next morning the housekeeping staff were talking quite loudly at approximately 8:30 am and seeing as we had the room for another night we were going to sleep in a bit. Saying that we will definitely stay there again and pay the extra few bucks on a room with a view of the water, it was stunning.

We loved the Sidney Waterfront Inn. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, the bathroom had lots of good quality towels and an excellent shower. We appreciated the fridge and microwave. The fireplace would be wonderful on a cooler night. The view was lovelty. We moved the dining table in front of the patio doors and enjoyed the view while having a simple but filling breakfast from the breakfast room. Staff were very friendly. It was great to walk the harbour front right from the hotel. Highly recommended.

Having to lug suitcases up a flight of stairs, but we knew that beforehand.

Location, room and view were all fantastic. Breakfast included as well as free parking and wifi all made this a great stay for us in a lovely little town. We'll definitely come back. :)

Breakfast room is small with only two tables for the entire resort. However, it was fine for us to grab a coffee and light breakfast and take it back to our room.

Breakfast was excellent, probably the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had, although the limited seating/space in the breakfast room was difficult. The biggest highlight of the hotel was how lovely the staff were.

As a smaller hotel there were no real amenities to speak of. Also, a small issue, but the iron in our room didn’t work very well.
