Fantastic communication and customer service from the start to end. The staff were very helpful in confirming an early check in, and their email communication was prompt, which was appreciated. When we arrived, as it was quiet, the staff upgraded us to a deluxe room free of charge, and allowed us to keep our car in the car park whilst we went to have some breakfast and lunch. The room was stunning, clean, luxurious and very comfortable. We especially loved the little tea tray they set out, the claw foot bath tub, and the bed was so comfortable. Thank you! We would 100% recommend staying there and if we’re were to come back to Leicester in the future we will be staying here! 10/10
Nothing to improve on as such, if I had to choose something it would be minor and not worth mentioning

Fast WiFi. The bathtub was amazing and the bed was perfect for me, comfortable desk to do work. Great, central location! Nice and friendly staff, efficient and clean. Easy check-in/check-out. There are so many restaurants and shops in walking distance to choose from in the area. The lodge has partnerships giving back to its community, and they promote sustainability. It's GOLD!
The only thing I didn't like is that no slippers are provided. Had I known beforehand, I would have brought some. I still give this place a 10, can't be perfect right?? I am not a light sleeper but if you are a sensitive sleeper, just ask them to put you in a room on the quiet side. Don't pass this place up because you are a light sleeper! I was awake working abroad in late/early hours and heard noise outside through my headset, but again, it wouldn't have woken me up out of a sound sleep.

Our second visit to this fantastic Hotel, and certainly not our Last.. Location is perfect for the city centre, opposite the cathedral. Our room was perfect, extra large bed that you just got lost into. The bathroom was huge with a roll top bath and walk in shower. Hotels in Leicester really do not come better than this, so save yourself time and make this your first choice, it's at the top for a reason. Point to note. This is situated in the town centre, so you will hear street noise from people walking by late at night, however early mornings are very quiet, and you get the bonus of the cathedral bells chiming.

Clean and comfortable, great shower. Perfect location in a quieter part of the city. Loved that they participate in Hotels for trees where you can decline a cleaning of the room and the hotel donates to tree planting. There were so many choices for meals surrounding the hotel, some proving discounts to hotel guests. Real milk and a Nespresso coffee machine in the room meant we didn't need to go out for coffee if we didn't want to but there's a coffee shop directly across the street that supported a charity if you want more than a simple coffee. Car parking was easy and free, a luxury considering the city location. Thououghly enjoyed our short city break at St Martins Lodge.

Super location in the middle of Leicester. Good parking. Nice rooms. Excellent nespresso machine. Very clean. Felt secure. Just opposite the cathedral (collect room key from diocese office). Handy for the central pedestrian zone, The Lanes etc.. It is an accommodation only lodge, but there are plenty of eateries very close by for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And there are 15% discounts at one of the local gastropubs.
My room was an internal room with window onto the central open space in the building. So next time I'll ask for one with a view but for one night it was good.

An amazing find! Beautiful building and exquisite decor in the room for a feeling of luxury and comfort throughout my stay. Didn’t realise the accommodation was linked to the Cathedral which was opposite my window. Check in so easy and staff were so helpful and friendly. Free parking is such a bonus as right in the centre - 5 mins walk to restaurants and shops, 10 mins walk to Leicester Royal Infirmary. Booked this to be close to family in the hospital and was perfect for this purpose. Had no idea this beautiful old quarter existed in Leicester but worth a walk round.

I love everything about this hotel. It was like home from home. I have now found the only place that I will want to stay at in Leicester. I can't praise this place enough. Everyone that I encountered was super helpful, especially Mr Miren at the reception desk. Friendly, polite, and very helpful. a wealth of knowledge. I could not ask for more.
Just the fact that the reception was not in the same building. But after parking in their designated car park, which made me feel happy that my car was in a secure place) it was just a short walk to the other building to check in.

The secure car park included in the price is excellent. The room was very clean and well laid out. The hotel is in a very good position for walking to the city centre. There are lots of restaurants and bars very close to the hotel and the main shopping area is right on the doorstep.
The room wasn't very well sound proofed. The entrance corridor runs along the side of the room and on our first night we were continually woken up by people returning to the hotel in the early hours and making lots of noise. The outer and inner corridor doors also closed with a very loud bang. Maybe a soft closing spring on the doors would help. Also maybe a sign at the entrance asking guests to enter quietly late at night might be helpful.

There is no doubt, this is a beautiful building - very well decorated and it all feels very sumptuous. Really comfortable bed and lovely coffee in the room.
It’s the second time we have stayed here as we have friends who also stay here - this time was a lot noisier than last time - we were woken up by what sounded like someone stomping around or maybe building work in an adjacent room - from like 7:30 on a Saturday morning. We joked the last time we stayed that it was one of the smallest hotel rooms we have ever had, but we were expecting that this time and it didn’t disappoint! It’s only one night - and once you get the (very nice and expensive) fan going the hot room cools down really nicely.
