We loved the huge suite with traditional Japanese features. It was lovely looking out on the river and was a peaceful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and there were thoughtful touches in the room. About 15 minutes walk into town but worth it for the space and views. The traditional public baths were separate for men and women - from a British point of view they were a bit like the toddlers’ depth pool with hot water- both times we had them completely to ourself so very peaceful and relaxing. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The only thing I would improve is to add some relaxing lighting to the bedroom area for reading.

We thoroughly enjoyed the old world feeling of Yuyaruru Saisai. Our tatami rooms were very spacious and comfortable. We had a view of the snow falling on the river. The breakfast was delicious and restaurant staff was so accommodating to my gluten/dairy free husband. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We did not mind this, but people who stay here should know that it takes about 15 minutes by taxi from Kanazawa Station to the inn. However, the inn is within walking distance to the old town (along the beautiful river) and temple district (up the hill). We were happy to stay away from the main areas of the city.

Friendly staff and superb breakfast. I love the use of local ingredients and the different food options each morning. The lovely staff at the restaurant roast the coffee beans with an impressive artistic set-up! The room is spacious and relaxing.

The hot bath is a bit small and basic (but very clean). The location is a bit far off from the city centre and not really accessible by public transport. Coupled with persistent rain it was a challenge to reach the hotel. Taking a taxi from the train station is strongly recommended if you are not driving.

Our room was amazing. We had a large room with a shower and bathtub which was so nice. We stayed in for different areas of Japan during our trip and this place offered the best breakfast. It had a variety of western style and Japanese food. The employees were so nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was very warm and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again if I get the opportunity to come back to this area

The only thing I can think of (and was very minor) is it is a little bit away from things if you want to be in the middle of everything but this was not an issue at all and worth it for the nice stay. The bus stop is just down the road so very easy to get around and we were able to purchase a day pass for the bus from the front desk.

If we could put a 20/10 we will do it. The place is incredible, we wanted to be a little further away from the center to be quieter, you have 3 bus to go to Kanazawa station. The staff is so nice especially the lady who looked after customers and lent us a shoe dryer on a very rainy day, all the staff was helpful when we lost a phone and we found it back. The traditional Japanese room was magnificent, a sweetness leave in the room every day, very clean, the onset very quiet to, the best breakfast of our trip. Thank you so much for this lovely stay. 3 days are not enough to enjoy the beautiful room 😊

Loved the location next to the river in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the room decor, very elegant and traditionally Japanese. We also enjoyed our hot water kettle and the amazing tea provided in the room. Beds were very comfy. Great location within walking distance to all major attractions and abundance of dining. Very close to a lot of temples. We really enjoyed our stay.

I only wish for more variety in breakfast items, since I'm not a big fan of seafood for breakfast. I know I sound like a 'typical' tourist, and while I enjoy tasting local food, it often left me somewhat hungry :-)

The rooms were super pretty and spacious with a breath-taking view of the river. Also, the location was also really practical - you could reach Kenrokuen and the city's Izakaya district within a 15 minutes walk. The breakfast buffet also had a pretty big selection and was delicious!

The public bath was a bit underwhelming as it only had one small bath. One of the 2 blankets we had (went in winter) were also really heavy, they stopped the bloodflow in our legs, so we stopped using them in the middle of the night.

Very personal and detailed services. Feel very much at home. Excellent view and spacious and beautiful room. I stay at a junior suit but it's so big inside that make you feel like so honored in every way. You get to sleep on a bed or Japanese futon on tatami floor, very fun and precious experiences. The room is so well made with top quality material and woodwork. The furniture and accessories are all so well cared for and authentic. You get more than you want.

Fabolous hotel with private onsen, I reserved a HUGE apartament that was bigger than I expected, with futon, private outdoor bath tube, private terrace. Me and my wife loved the place, if we will return in Kanazawa we will return to yuyaruru for sure! Good breakbast aswell, super kind staff

the wood near the outdoor bath tub was a bit damaged, we were a lil concerned it could possibly break using the bath tube, with the weight of water, but everything went fine

The main living room was in the traditional style with tatami matting and options to sleep on the matting or in a separate bedroom. It was very spacious and included our own outdoor setting, bathtub and garden, just beautiful. Japanese gowns and socks and slippers were also provided for our relaxation, making us feel very special. The hotel was located on the river, providing a calm outlook and pretty walk into the city. Breakfast was included and changed daily, although the basics remained the same and we were given plenty of choices between a western or Japanese breakfast. We ate overlooking the river, again a great view. The desk staff were very helpful, especially when we required a taxi to the trainstation on the morning of the Kanazawa Marathon. They performed a miracle and booked one for us which made our trip much more manageable. Loved staying at this property, a class act, we highly recommend you stay too.
