The breakfast was amazing and the staff especially the check in manager and bar man was amazing and so helpful. The unit had great views.

The host is wonderful, and the place is both affordable and well-located, with beautiful beaches nearby. The food is absolutely delicious—definitely the best! I loved every meal at this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Samloem Laguna Resort, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The resort itself is beautifully nestled by pristine beaches, offering stunning views of the crystal-clear waters and lush greenery that surround it. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, blending comfort with a touch of island charm. Waking up to the gentle sounds of the ocean was a highlight, and the private balcony allowed us to soak in the breathtaking scenery. The food was excellent

Offering a wider variety of options, particularly in fresh fruits, baked goods, and hot items, would cater to different preferences and add more flavor to the meal.

The place is clean and quiet , green and relaxing 😌 I fell in love with the private beach even though it is not a full sandy beach - it is a beach with nobody around 😁. We were happy to stay here! I highly recommend it to everyone who is looking for an empty chilling place. I liked almost everything there. It felt right for a longer stay. The food, the staff, the room inside and out. The view and even the location on the island.

Two things made me sad. The first was the bed linen which was completely black fabric which meant that I couldn't see my expensive black camera on the bed as with a slight movement it fell to the floor and got seriously damaged. The second was the night bus connection that I bought through the accommodation. It was a horrible experience as for 11 hours I had to lie in a short and dirty bed on the bus and freeze as the blanket and pillow looked so dirty that I didn't want to sleep in them at all. Then in the middle of the journey a stranger steps into your narrow bed which you are forced to share with.

We really enjoyed the privacy at this location. No people wandering around is a huge plus. Having a private beach is really nice, so no need to walk all the way to the bay. The quality of the room was really nice. It felt private, high end but not pretentious. The docks were awesome, a nice place to watch the sunset. The portions at the restaurant were very decently sized and the price is competetive with other places on the bay.

Not much going on at the bar or the common area. Breakfast time is pretty limited being from 8-10. The staff could have been more proactive, as in more welcoming and general friendliness. Lots of mosquitos, but that's unaviodable anywhere on the island. The private beach could use some love

Amazing view from the room! The resort is situated at the end of the bay which provides beautiful panoramic views to enjoy. It is in a lovely quiet location, and it’s a nice walk into the main area. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help, except for one older man who seemed cold and unaccommodating. We really enjoyed our stay here and it’s perfect for someone looking for some island peace and quiet!

There were lots of mozzies, but this is no fault of the resort. Staff were amazing and gave us some tape to fix a hole in the fly net and also provided us with mozzie coils to help if needed.

I loved everything. It was secluded which made for a very peaceful stay. The room was superb. And the staff were amazing! Especially Wenona. Such a wonderful lady. She was very attentive to me as a guest and always ensured I was OK. Also very informative in giving information about tours and other areas to visit. I also enjoyed hanging out with Tommy and Kenzo. Thank you Laguna Resort. I hope to visit again.

Not being able to stay longer because I had already booked to go to Siem Reap 😂

The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Nice views from the breakfast area and the Spanish omelette was nice. The cambodian lady at the bar, who was serving breakfast was amazing, so polite and attentive and always service with a smile.

The private beach was pretty awful, wouldn't recommend. Its a really long walk from any shops or bars. The food is really expensive too so unless you want to pay stupid prices, you have to walk elsewhere. You had to pay to use the tennis court. All the staff were really lovely except 1 younger small guy who acted as if it was a chore I was asking him a question. They also offer a free boat trip from the pier if you book direct through the hotel - but its actually more expensive doing that as the boats are 12$ to the island then 2.50$ to the hotel from the pier, but if you book directly with the hotel, to get the 'free' hotel boat transfer, it'll cost you 15$. We also stayed 5 nights and had no housekeeping so by the time we left everything was covered in sand & a bit grubby.

I loved the little villa i was staying in. It was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The food was good but sometimes limited on options. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The beach nearby was small and little messy so you gotta go for a walk to get to a really nice beach. Although i think they are clearing this up. To get to the best ones you got to walk maybe 30 minutes to an hour. The villa could do with a kettle.
