The room was a good size and clean. Hotel is basic but it’s clean, the breakfast was basic but it was good. It was a good location near a station so easy to get around the city. We made a mistake by paying for breakfast for the last day which we did realise we would not be able to have, we emailed hotel when we were back in UK and it was refunded no problem.

There was a man on reception when we arrived, he was not very welcoming and was rather rude! Which is a shame as the rest of the staff were very pleasant.

The room was nice. There was a little couch and chair and my room looked out over a green area where there were rabbits. I found the room quiet and the staff friendly. While not in the city centre, the hotel is only a short walk from a train station so easy to get around. Classy-looking lobby area. You have everything you need.

My shower head had some clogged jets that sprayed sideways and in my face. There was a light burnt out near the window and dust underneath the bed. I found it difficult to get into the room. You had to use the card, turn the handle, and push with the right amount of pressure. Pillows very small.

Clean, close to the train station (walking distance), a terrace outside for smokers.

The first receptionist was a complete disaster! We arrived at 4 AM after having a 4 hr flight delay that we communicated to Ibis via booking, and the receptionist had cancelled our reservation!!! She offered us a new reservation with a 40€ addition, although my booking was still visible in my account, with my messages to the hotel, and card embedded. At 4 AM WE HAD NO OTHER CHOICE than to pay as she wouldn’t understand nor look at our proofs and kept on telling us this is her job, to cancel reservations after 00:00 and that her colleagues have not informed her about my messages. Thankfully, the next day, a professional reception gentleman assisted us and charged the proper amount, cancelling his colleagues mistake. This resulted in blocking an amount from our budget for another 4 days…

It was quiet. There was plenty of space and I could actually unpack my bag into a “closet.”

The website said that there were laundry services. There was not. BUT the front desk told me how to go into town and there was a laundromat right close by. The staff was very friendly and spoke wonderful English.

Never tried “German breakfast” before and didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised ….& likewise the German beer in the bar As an aviation enthusiast by hobby,having the hotel(& especially our room) giving a good view of aircraft approaching to land at Cologne airport was an added bonus

Lack of an evening meal was unfortunate but not a major issue for us as we were on a mini-break and ate out anyway

A decent hotel one station away from the airport so I will be back next month.

The broken sigh outside. While walking from the S-Bahn station at night you can see all the other hotels in the area but this IBIS as the sign is not illuminated. You need to keep walking - eventually you'll see it.

Fantastic stop off for one night. Location was really easy to reach from the Autobahn, and the prebooked secure parking was a bonus. For a budget hotel, the reception is well presented and the rooms are big, comfortable and great value. Made to feel welcome on arrival. Would highly recommend.

We did not have the breakfast, but it seems a little pricey at €17.50

The location was good, 9-10 mins walk from Frankfurter Str station which provides direct S-Bahn connections to the city centre. The personnel was polite and the room was clean overall.

The curtain was a bit dirty, the bathroom cubicle had some orange-brown deposits on plastic joints, and the fan had visible dustbunnies. Some room slippers would've been nice, considering the hotel prices per night.

Staff were very nice and helpful and also the room was more than sufficient. Bus stop nearby direct to the airport. Ideal for budget stay close by to airport for stop over.

Very noisy with planes flying over head but this is next to the airport but I think must be in flight path directly.

I liked the location - it felt quite far from noise and almost in nature. the walk from the S-bahn should be ok for moderately fit people. the room had enough storage places and the bed was very comfy. the breakfast was very basic but good

hairdryer was barely enough to dry my hair, it could be replaced with smth more performant
