It was a phenomenal experience. We stayed in the Giraffe Treehouse and it was such an amazing stay. The staff were so attentive, they couldnât do enough for you. The food was amazing and plentiful. You have a tour with a guide, and get to experience the zoo the next morning in peace and quiet before the general public come in. The zoo is world class and the experience at Jamala is a once in a lifetime bucket list item. We highly recommend to put it on your list!
Nothing. All of it was world class.

all the meals, from breakfast to to lunch, and dinner where excellent , wonderful presented and served. The people who served and prepared the food were lovely to get along with the guests! We would recommend Jamala to our friends, as for us, it was a wonderful experience to see, what has been done for people like us to stay so close to the animals, and in our case, close to the fish in the Aquarium. Our whole stay at Jamala, was a wonderful experience. We would like to wish the staff , a happy Easter!

Great experience to celebrate a special occasion.
Given the cost (not cheap) would have been nice to have had one or two more extras like the cheetah experience included as part of the package. Also a fair few people were celebrating birthdays, while it was marked with the dessert, a little extra fuss would have been nice to make the birthday people feel special.

We have never stayed in a place where every single person could not do more to help you. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the service was exemplary. As it was our anniversary, a beautiful little leopard was on our bed saying Happy Anniversary! Made my day. Dessert that night had little chocolates saying Happy Anniversary. So very special. The white lions that came in just before dinner were spectacular to see so close up. The food was outrageous. So beautiful and plentiful. Beds were incredible, so comfortable. We hand fed animals the next day on safari, and even patted a white rhino. Where can you ever get these experiences? Thank you so much. I did not want to leave.
Only disappointment was the giraffe encounter I paid for, and didn't get to feed them. We wanted to stay in the giraffe treehouse, but as it wasn't 2 bedrooms, we stayed in the Meerkat Suite, which was fabulous, and I settled for paying extra to feed them in the zoo the next day. Was terribly let down that the other 3 I was grouped with, 2 being children who wouldn't have had the deep desire I have had all my life to do this, got to feed them, and I was told to wait, then they walked away cos they'd had enough and can get lucern themselves whenever they like. SOO sad, but still love this place.

welcome afternoon tea was excellent đ, kids love the meerkats, and we loved the sharks. guided tour was perfect and our guide was very kind to take it slowly to accommodate the children's needs.. the rooms were very, very spacious including the bathrooms. everything was spotless clean. the direct connection to the aquarium and zoo was great..too much to comment..you have to be there for the experience...

Cooked breakfasts were good - perhaps add a toast option- or did I miss it while focusing on the lion & conversation with fellow breakfast guests? Setting atmospheric- where else can you have breakfast/dinner with a lion? I like the communal dining - more friendly than eating separately & you meet interesting people. Also the wine selection was very good The staff are superb- from checkin to dining & just coming across random members (service, cleaners, keepers âŚ). Cooper is particularly impressive - his passion, enthusiasm, knowledge & desire to share is outstanding. The walk with Solo the Cheetah was a special highlight. Canât wait to spread the word & get our retired friends to stay with you.
Nothing immediately springs to mind.

Everything! Our room, the amazing food, yummy wines, the other guests, all the friendly staff, but most of all, the animals...
Our toilet in the Meerkat room didn't full flush, and the shower taps were hard to turn off to stop dripping. Also, our TV didn't work when we first checked in? The lovely staff got it sorted while we were at dinner.

I loved the whole experience. I missed the opportunity to book the jungle bungalow. Highlight was the cheetah đ encounter. I also loved how the staff took perfect care of our dietary requirements. The zok experience was also awesome. Watching ostriches from so close was wow.A must visit and stay. A little dear but absolutely worth it. đđ
The animals decided not to visit us for our dinner.

The atmosphere was great. Everything well organised to make the most of our stay. Food excellent. Guided tour was well worth the early start even though we had done the self guided one the previous afternoon.
Although the food and service was excellent for the dinner unfortunately we were some of the "overflow of guests" and could not fit into the Rainforest Restaurant with the rest of the guests. We had thought this was going to be good to share the dinner experience altogether.

Loved the whoke set up of the lodge - it's well construed and decorated with style. The staff were really friendly and helpful and created a very relaxed vibe which we loved. The catering was next level - well done to the chef!
