Having stayed at that location under a previous ownership, I saw a vast improvement in the in the overall appearance of the hotel. A night and day visual experience.
The only problem I experienced was very minor, but that’s what reduced my over rating. The light over the mirror in the toilet was inoperative and when I went o speak to a member of staff about it, no one appeared to take an interest. Something that I thought I could have quickly mention and move on turned into several minutes of trying to get someone’s attention. As I said minor but hindered the morning routine. Also the towel warming rack was also inoperative but was not one of my concerns. Just small attention to details which slightly detracted from my stay.

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Shower was a bit tricky with the taps but had good pressure and was very clean. This was a stopover point for us on our way back to Dublin and was a great quiet location. Breakfast served downstairs in the bar / restaurant had plenty to chose from the menu, we had fresh fruit salad with yogurt and local honey - the fruit was very fresh, yogurt was a greek yogurt and very good quality. Delish. Coffee was great with all the alternate milks available. I also found a great little hairdresser across from the hotel called Aura Hair and Michelle (I think her name was) did a great wash and Blowdry for me. If you are here take the drive to look at the nearby castle and also to do the 3km walk around Fore (7 wonders of Fore).
Hard to fault this one. I cannot think of much I didn’t like about it. Um.. the lift was slow (LOL there is a little story of the Sloth in the lift to keep you entertained on the way up).

Lovely little hotel very clean and comfortable. Evening time staff were excellent especially the GM Wayne. Greeted us on arrival and checked us in and was then in the restaurant looking after everyone a great asset to have. Food was Good and priced okay with today's market.
Morning time at breakfast staff not as good. The manager on shift appeared to not want to be there. Had to ask for coffee several times. Had to ask for toast no one came near us to check in with us, and it wasn't busy. There was a large group sitting not all arriving at the same time. The manager appeared to not want them in due to her tone of voice and directing them to sit at other tables when they could have easily sat altogether.

Great location, helpful friendly staff credit to this hotel, modern and comfortable rooms, excellent and well priced food. Staff went out of their way to be able to accommodate our early morning breakfast requests. This was highly appreciated by a handful of families who had an early morning event nearby on a Sunday. 10 out of 10 experience in hospitality, would definitely return again. Best of luck from an ex g Hotel employee turned full time mom

The location and the staff especially Margaret and Stephen. Our cleaner kept our room spotless. We loved the lift as the last time we were there there was no lift.
The heating kept going off and coming from Australia it was a bit of a challenge as we were used to 30 degrees most days and the cool temperatures in Castlepollard it was a bit of a shock

Lovely location, nice recently refurbished hotel with very friendly staff and nice food and rooms
Regrettably, the manager decided to take full payment for my group from the credit card I used to secure the booking on the morning of our arrival. We turned up expecting to pay cash on arrival as we normally do to discover that my credit card had been hit with the cost, which in turn led to foreign transaction fees. Shame because for me it spoiled my visit

Breakfast was as expected and as much as I could eat. As a disabled person (with a mobility scooter) the breakfast staff were helpful at all times which was brilliant, so a big thank you to them.
Nothing I didn't like about the Breakfast or food all together.

What a hidden gem. Refurbishment is excellent and very in keeping with the building. Lovely bar/restaurant, such a shame we were so tired from travelling and couldn't enjoy the love music in the evening. Food was excellent and all the staff were very accommodating. We will be back at some point.
Unfortunately there was a problem with hot water in our room but the manager swiftly dealt with it and opened another room to use the shower. It's the only reason I said a 9 and not a 10.
