Had the best stay at Terra Rosa, a beautifully serene winery / country home tucked into northern Portugal. The rooms were thoughtfully designed, the breakfasts were lovely, and of course, the pool. Every morning, I went for a run through the vineyard too and it was so invigorating. The staff was incredibly helpful with recommendations, meals, and anything we needed for our ten month old son.

We chose not to rent a car and instead relied on taxis, but would recommend having a car when visiting. That way, you would have access to the surrounding areas and restaurants more easily!

This property is gorgeous and fabulous value for money. We looked at a few vineyard stays in the area and they were far more expensive. Our room was modern and comfortable and opened into the garden. Upon arrival the lovely staff served us goads of the Rose from their vineyard. Breakfast was great and cooked to order. We also chose to have dinner at the property as we were there to relax in the countryside. The menu was small but good and the food excellent. There is a large pool which I enjoyed. The dining area has a lounge area you can access at all times. Another large building has a huge living area with a full sized billiard table! We enjoyed a few games. Being a working vineyard ther are several lovely old buildings. The small chapel was a sweet surprise. The staff were very lovely and attentive. The charming owner stopped by for a long chat on the terrace in the afternoon. I really can’t rave about this place enough. We actually considered backtracking from Porto where we stopped next just to revisit. Sadly it could not be on our schedule but we would love to go back one day.

Unique place with fantastic décor. The details have been carefully considered, and you feel welcome from the very first moment. Amazing pool area with the most beautiful view. Good, simple food made with delicious ingredients. Incredibly friendly staff.

There was quite a bit of noise from the nearby motorway on one side of the house. The neighboring town had a festival and played loud music constantly from 9 am until after midnight every single day (we were there from Wednesday to Friday). We were probably just unlucky.

This place is just idyllic! The rooms are spacious and decorated beautifully. We were met on arrival and given a glass of wine and tour of the accommodation. Food is available to order until 6.30pm and what we had was delicious. Breakfast is served outside which was lovely, with a range of fruits, cakes, yogurts/granola and pastries, but you can also order eggs etc. All of the staff were very pleasant and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the place is so quiet we slept really well. The pool is so peaceful.

It would be nice to have access to water during the day that you can help yourself to. Also just be aware that the closest town, Ponte de Lima is 20 minutes drive away to get an evening meal if not eating at Terra Rosa itself.

The welcome glass of wine from their own vineyards while checking in, is a very nice touch. We enjoyed the common room and the pool table.

The room is nice, modern, but a bit small. The options for dinner are quite limited. It seems like they reheat the pasta. We chose to eat out the second night. The closeness of the highway is handy but you could hear the traffic.

Property is awesome, giving you peace of mind and having everything you might expect, including nice views, wonderful services! The way that the check-in was processed, including the tour around the property, was really perfect!

The bandwidth on the wifi is low, for someone needing to make a video call for work at the end of the day it would not be enough. If you absolutely don't need it, than the place is simply perfect!

Everything The beautiful setting, the gorgeous interiors of the country house and the reimagining and renovations of the original buildings make for a very special stay. The gardens are filled with stunning roses, laden orange trees and flowering olive trees. All the staff are absolutely gorgeous, so helpful and kind.

Be cautious of the free friendly upgrades, if you choose to stay another night you’ll end up paying for it. Only one draw back, if you’re looking for totally silence and wanna sleep with your window open you’ll hear a slight hum from the highway and the buzz from mini bar fridge in the room, but maybe those sounds won’t bother ya

Everything is perfect, really. It was the second time I stayed here, and I hope it's not the last. The place is absolutely gorgeous and super confortable. The staff could not be more friendly and competent. We stayed for two nights and didn't even leave to go anywahere until it was time to come back home. That's how much we liked it :)

To have a rate of 11, I would make it adults only. Kids are wonderful and the best thing in the world, but can make it hard to have peace, quiet and silence, which is what you look for and expect to get in a place like this ;)

We had an absolutely wonderful and recharging stay. The initial wine tasting was a lovely touch, and the early dinner was simply delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel completely at ease. We're eager to return and bring our loved ones to experience this fantastic place!
