We had a very warm welcome from Diana when we arrived and she made sure that we had everything we needed. The hotel is recently refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The pool by the river was perfect for a quiet place for a glass of wine and to cool your feet. The location of the hotel is brilliant. Great access to the old town. We loved Tomar and we were so glad we booked to stay here.

We didn't use the pool because we didn't want to wear a swim cap, but it looked lovely. Breakfast was delicious but the service was a bit hit and miss, I think that it just because it is a new team and they are finding their flow.

The hotel was in the park next to the town centre. A room overlooking the park (or garden) is worth while. The balcony is large and has a lovely view. The room was clean and well decorated and molten brown products a bonus. The spa was small but had everything needed. Free parking.

The breakfast offering could have been improved upon. Based on the 4 hotel stays over our trip it offered the least choice. A room at the rear may suffer noise from the hotel next door. There seemed to be a nightly party. Our first room had a buzzing noise every 20 seconds but we were moved room.

A really lovely place to stay located in a park and on the river. Metres to restaurants and a short walk to all the sites. Beautiful rooms - we upgraded to the terrace room that had a deck overlooking the park. Parking. Fantastic breakfast Really lovely staff.

Nothing. It was a great place to stay. A little warning though. When you drive to the hotel the small bridge leading from the main road to the park is the access point for the hotel. It is fairly narrow and so it’s easy to mistake it for a pedestrian only bridge.

Staff was REALLY good and accommodating and friendly. Price was excellent for the value. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Nice deck off the room. Great breakfast. Very relaxing.

It was a bit confusing to find, because our Google Maps brought us to a spot basically across the street, and that part of the neighborhood was a bit run down. We did NOT know that the little turnoff onto the Island was where we needed to go so the directions could be better. The island area where the spa is was great.

Hotel is in a beautiful location on the island. Our room was clean, well equipped and a good size and we loved the river view. The staff were welcoming and provided us with a map and tips of where to visit. We really enjoyed exploring the town of Tomar. Patricia's recommendations were spot on but it was the convent which stole the show. Just amazing. The town has lovely restaurants, coffee shops and a fabulous ice cream shop. We also enjoyed a walk around the hotel ground and river.Just a lovely vibe. Even though we had breakfast late, there was a varied supply which was topped up as we were eating.

The robes for the spa were tiny and in my husband's case, unwearable. The floor of the spa was so wet and slippery it was quite unsafe wearing the hotel slippers. We knew the pool was small from other reviews but we could not get the sauna to heat at all so our time there was short.

location was great, silent. place was super clean and beautiful. staff were very nice.

parking was tricky! you must cross what looks like a pedestrian bridge to make it to the hotel parking lot! looked not-permitted, but then we saw other cars do it and our Portuguese reading helped :) you need a pool-cap to enter the pool, but i don't think they sell any (would be a good idea). the pool water was not especially clean. they have a restaurant on-site: prices were a little too high for us, we are in town :)

Very nice hotel in the heart of Tomar. The room was very nice and spacious. The hotel has a small spa that is cozy and from 19:00 is adults only.

Not that we didn’t like but what we believe it can be an improvement is the breakfast. It has not included in our stay, but we decided to have breakfast in the hotel. The selection was very limited and I’m not sure if it was because of the public holiday, but the short of staff made the breakfast experience not the best.

The location is a special trait. In the heart of Mouchao park facing the river. The hotel thinks about the details offering a comfortable and pleasant stay. The staff is super helpful. The facilities are designed to offer the guests an special experience.

The robes available in the bedrooms are extremely small, barely fitting a size S person. Not good. The breakfast is a little too much minimalistic. It could use a little more care and variety.

We stayed at Santa Iria for two days. Within one day, walking across the bridge on to the island felt like coming home. It's an EXTRAORDINARY hotel. (One of the three best in Portugal, in my experience so far). It is in far better condition than most, the staff are pleasanter, the facilities are truly outstanding, and Molton Brown toiletries?!?!??! I can't work out what to praise highest - the location (stellar), the attention to detail (EXTREMELY unusual in this country), or the staff. It is head and shoulders above most of the Pousadas I have stayed in, despite being very reasonably priced.

The only thing that could have been better would be a longer stay! I can't wait to come back.

It was our first trip to Tomar. My husband and I were having a Valentines Day celebration and we were so fortunate to have made the decision to stay at this lovely property. The hotel, its beautiful setting and the location within walking distance of the historical center are perfect! But, what will brings us back in the future with family and friends is the outstanding staff. They made our first visit to Tomar and that special Valentines Day a memorable and immensely enjoyable one! The hotel arranged a gorgeous 5 course meal with wine pairings in their restaurant. The food and wine were both excellent but again the attention and enthusiasm the staff showed for this special occasion was touching. The dining room was packed with patrons but they made my husband and I feel special. We will always remember this particular Valentines Day. Thank you!!
