Beautiful home away from home. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and the rooms were immaculately clean! Delicious continental breakfast and the pool was an added bonus after a busy day exploring the local towns. Fantastic location - only a few minutes walk away from the town centre but far enough away that you are out of the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants. Would give this property 6 out of 5 stars if I could!

Everything was truly excellent! Rooms are fresh, modern and comfortable, amazing shower, yet the history of the house has been preserved with vintage decor and touches. The breakfast, and especially the fresh baked goods, were amazing, felt like such a luxury to eat on the terrace. Stunning gardens and pool area, perfect place to relax in a little oasis thats still so close to the town centre. And the hosts were brilliant, relaxed yet welcoming and present when needed. Was a really lovely place to stay that Id recommend to anyone looking for some peace and relaxation in Cascais.

It was one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. The historic home, the location, the parking, the pool (especially in August!), wonderful breakfast on the terrace, the old trees on the grounds. The hosts were amazing. So thoughtful and hospitable. It was nice to have a glass of wine one evening when we just wanted to relax instead of go out. Magical.

The staff is outstanding, very welcoming and always attentive! As it was a very important night for us the staff went out of their way to give us something special! Definitely recommend staying at this historic yet very comfortable place. Breakfast was also perfect!

The breakfast on the terrace was wonderful each morning. There was a wide selection of hot and cold options including eggs, croissants, fresh orange juice, fruit salad and organic yoghurts. Best of all Maria baked a wonderful cake (or the best macaroons ever!) that we could help ourselves to, in the morning or throughout the day. The surrounding gardens are beautiful with the bonus of a pool far nicer in fact than we had expected. All very well designed. We wanted to have a relaxing week and Chalet Ficahlo was a perfect choice for this. It was so good to be able to just take a book and read by the pool. Maria and Ana were such lovely, helpful and warm people- this makes a huge difference when choosing a hotel. It really felt as if we were staying in their house; which we were! The bedrooms were quiet and the bathroom we had was fabulous. High quality materials and one of the best showers I have experienced.

Nothing. Maybe having an espresso at breakfast but really that was not an issue. And I am sure if I'd asked for one it would've been possible..

A lovely spacious room, very comfortable large bed; bathroom great with superb shower. Lovely scented handwash/shampoos etc ; coffee machine a bonus. Beautiful property, lovely well kept gardens, loved the swimming pool, sun loungers; very peaceful and convenient location. Fabulous breakfast. Staff always smiling, extremely helpful, attentive and always happy to advise and recommend restaurants/places to go. We love it so much here we plan to visit every year! It is such a special, unique, beautiful place to stay with the most hospitable owner and staff we could wish for. Thank you so much for yet another very enjoyable stay!

The only thing I would mention is that for myself and my partner the pillows were a bit too bouncy/hard on our necks, maybe we are getting old! But a softer pillow would be welcome.

The place is breathtakingly beautiful, all the common areas are so aesthetic and contain so many fine details that it's hard to take the eyes off them, a genuine historic and royal air. This place is a bliss for people getting joy from looking at and being surrounded by beauty. Our room was bigger than expected, very bright and airy, particularly beautiful in the afternoon with sunlight getting trough the wooden shutters, perfectly working AC, very comfortable bed and pillows, a big old wooden beautifully decorated wardrobe. Bathroom left nothing to wish for, everything is new and working perfectly, a lot of space and light, including the light coming from a big bathroom window. The place is a very successful and functional combination of old and new. The level of cleanliness was outstanding (and I am particularly picky when it comes to cleanliness), additional compliments for the marvelous fresh fragrance of bed linen and towels. Breakfast offered a moderate selection which is totally expected and natural for a small hotel, however it was always sufficient and what matters most - all products were of highest quality. We had our eggs and sausages carefully cooked for us every morning on demand, and even the number of minutes for soft boiled eggs was respected with care! We also enjoyed the orange juice which was for real freshly squeezed. Beautiful garden, a very limited number of guests, a sweet and smart dog, great location within walking distance to everything, a very calm and serene atmosphere. And of course the people of the Chalet - mentioned so many times in comments because they deserve all the credit - the cleaning ladies that were so silent and polite, the ladies taking care of breakfast always careful and smiling, and of course Ana and Maria who are the soul of this place, always available, always ready to accommodate any request, having a very personal attitude that made us feel extremely welcome.

We knew this property from exterior for many years. Having the opportunity to live inside even just for one single night was a kind of dream come truth. We booked for a special occasion and hosted a family dinner in the property dining room. The experience was amazing, the history of the property and the quality of the service to make this event wonderful was great! The breakfast had all we needed, and eggs and juice fresh on the minute. Maria told us about the amazing history of the family and Gabriela made our drinks and dinner feeling like at home. A great place to go with the tranquility of Cascais residence area to make a special occasion.

A stunning house beautifully converted to have guests for bed and breakfast. Olde worlde charm in the downstairs reception rooms but fully modern facilities in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was immaculately clean. Best breakfast ever with fresh fruit salad, a wide choice of pastries and hot food was cooked to order. Well situated in Cascais with plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. Small but lovely swimming pool in the grounds.
