Al Baleed is an elegant and charming resort featuring excellent facilities. It offers stunning views of both the ocean and a picturesque lagoon, and even boasts a delightful sustainable farm. UV fly/mosquito traps should be installed in all rooms and especially in the restaurants where food is prepared and served. There are numerous flies hovering around and landing on the food at the buffet and guest tables, which is not sanitary. I had to cover my plates with tissues to keep the flies away. Additionally, there were many bugs (flies and otherwise) in my suite, and I even found a small gecko in the bathroom. The design of the bathroom sinks is very uncomfortable, as you inevitably hit your hands against the faucet and the plug. Furthermore, doormats should be placed in front of suite doors during the rainy season to prevent the room floors from getting wet.

the hotel is superb as you would expect from Anantara, the staff beyond friendly and helpful they upgraded our value which is amazing gesture, they are by far the best hotel in salalah.

food is not 5 stars food at all not even 4 stars hotel food, they need to change everything related to food , literally everything , for anyone who is picky about food should consider staying in the hotel.

They gave us a free upgrade to our room when we arrived which better accommodated us three. The breakfast is great with good variety. The place is beautiful. I genuinely can't wait to visit them again

Be wary of bugs such as mosquitos and spiders. The resort is in a tropical environment so it comes with nature's unwanted guests. They do provide (for a fee) a mosquito repellant spray which we used all the time and got no bites all trip!

The lagoon pool villa was exceptional . The pool was very good , but you need to have medicines for mosquitoes. The Arabic coffee was great in the reception. The room is very nice, the hotel is a nice resort . Mr. Adil allawati & Miss Thinzar are great, she called me one day before check-in and her service with a very high quality , her offer couldn't be refused. I like the buffet also .

- The food price is quite high. - The food "meat" taste was not so good. - You need to put "Do not disturb" sign or the house keeping boy will reach inside your villa ! - Privacy was ok .. But once we saw a cleaning service man inside our private beach . Thanks God we were wearing all clothes ! I contacted the reception and they took their arrangements . - You should tell the house keeping to close the doors so that lizards will not enter .

I liked everything . I am a regular guest of five star hotels and I stay most of the times in Anantara hotels . This hotel is by far has the best best customer service and experience from all Anantara hotels I have stayed ! All staff is so well trained , really polite and kind ! They upgraded and gave us a late check out since our flight was very late at night ! The food at the restaurants were great especially the Asian restaurant were for sure you have to taste ! The resort is really luxurious and you feel that you stay not in a five star but in a rather six star hotel . The infinity pool was great and the view from all the hotel to the sea really beautiful . The villa was spacious , luxury and really clean as well as the pool which was really large .

We wish we had more days to stay in this paradise ! We will definitely though visit this resort again just to relax .

The breakfast buffet at Sakalan was amazing and Yuli was very helpful and friendly.. plus hasan made karak tea which was amazing and I will definitely come back for it. The hotel also good

The garden view pool villa has only 1 issue , the swimming pool is not hot and the water is cold .. they said it's temperature controlled but the water was still cold.. I wish to have warm / hot water to enjoy the pool.

Ms. Kory at the Reception was very helpful in finding us an alternative solution when a twin room was not available. She went the extra mile by ensuring that our stay was as pleasant as we loved it to be. Thank you Ms. Kory for all your help. The hotel is beatiful and very modern

The food was not tasty and was very expensive. The service was very slow too. One more thing that I did not like was that I was charged before I arrive. This should not be the case as I have made other arrangements to pay in cash when I arrive but was shocked to ge billed few days before arrival. The card details were taken as a guarantee and should have only been billed if I did not show up.

the villas were amazing. service was very good. the private pool and cabana was spacious. It was expensive but you get what you payed for. my kids loved the gnocci.

The italian and other dishes were good, but the asian food was very averageand faily bland. The thai and malay/indonesian dishes were very european styled and not authentic, even the chilli sause seemed muted.

- Close to airport - Nice recreation center: cool kids and teen club. Ping ping, tennis court and badminton available next to the kids club. - Very kind and helpful staff. I highly recommend booking tours with Naji. The cleaning staff was paying great attention to details. - The room was good and we liked the layout of the bathroom: nice shower and bathtub area. Comfortable bed and pillows. - Always plenty of filtered water available in the room. - Beautiful and long infinity pool. Good beach where you can go for long walks

- Ants in the room, but they have immediately taken action once we complained. - No hooks for towels near sink area in the bathroom. - they started clearing items at the breakfast buffet before 11am. - The A/c was blowing directly down on the bed but they have sent someone to correct it as soon as we requested it. - Coffee machine in our room was not working. - Food options are very limited, especially for lunch. The evening buffet was just ok. The dinner in the Asia restaurant Mekong was however very good.

Location is amazing. Staff was cooperative and friendly. Buggy arrives quickly for ppl living in the villa. Breakfast was excellent with variety of options.

In room dining was not that great. We ordered butter chicken, biyani and chicken ceaser salad . The chicken was either over cooked or not properly cooked. Eventually we had to order from outside. Garden view pool villa is not really with a view, it has huge walls with no view.
