Lovely classy hotel with great location and close to waterfront and old section of Tonsberg. Few minutes walk to great selection of restaurants ( Esmeralda excellent). Staff very friendly and helpful in fact, the best we have encountered in our 5 months in Norway to date!. Lovely room, quite, excellent bed, great shower Lovely breakfast, all perfect . Originally planned to only stay a night as a stopover returning from Denmark via the ferry , but found Tonsberg and accommodation so nice stayed 3 nights! J Scott ( Brisbane Australia)

Nothing to not like

Well located, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. I had to spend some time on the bathroom floor due to s very fun time out in Tønsberg, and it was very clean, even under the toilet and in all the corners. The bed was very comfortable, the room nice.

The window could not be opened at all. In their selection of honey for breakfast they had a wax frame for people to scrape themselves, and while that looks very fancy, it leads to the wax not being properly recycled, and there is a severe shortage of beeswax in Norway.

The room was beautiful. In terms of furniture, the restaurant, views... My window had a really pretty view of the sea and the ships. The bed was quite comfortable and the breakfast options were huge. The food looked very good, there was a lot of variety. The hotel staff (reception and restaurant) was friendly. Something nice too is that they have some kind of sweets, tea, and coffee in the afternoon.

I missed a plug close to my bed. In general, the hotel was beautiful and nice, so I would have to be very picky to find any fault. About the town, it is a bit lost If you go from Oslo but that's not his fault.

The room was big enough, comfortable bed, very clean bathroom. Great location, restaurants in walking distance by the sea! Friendly personnel. Breakfast was very good. I enjoy my stay very much.

The aircon was running all the time. We would have liked to turn it off. Also is the noice from outside quite loud in the backjard area

We booked a family room for 1 night and it was super big and comfortable, it was the hottest day of the summer and there was no air conditioning but we were able to open the window and use a fan that was in the room and it was very good. The breakfast was very good. The hotel car park has few stalls and when we arrived it was full so we used a public car park next to the hotel for 350kr a day. In front of the hotel is a seaside boulevard with many restaurants and bars with a super good and lively atmosphere.

The sofa bed mattress was hard and wifi was slow.

Great location. Friendly and service minded staff and good sized room for a family. Breakfast was excellent and the staff even came by the table to serve coffee.

The parking facilities at the hotel is not really made for modern cars as it is and old alleyway, it was a very tight fit getting the car in and out again. This is however mitigated by the other parking facilities all around the hotel in Tønsberg.

The hotel is right in the center and the breakfast is very good. We were with the family and everybody was happy with the hotel. Also parking in the hotel is ok, it is not for free, but staff was flexible to come in and out to pick up the family. We had a good stay.
