The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. There was a sitting area which was nice. The hotel was very nicely located in the center of town and was great for walking around. Very close to the dock where you can pick up the ferry to Bergen. Close to several restaurants and walking distance to bus stop, which we needed once although we had a car.

The room was very warm. We had to sleep with the windows open in October. Had some difficulty lowering the temperature, but then again, I like sleeping in very cold rooms.

Even though the hotel is not new and the style might seem a bit out of fashion,it is still well kept.I was surprised by how clean it was.I liked that it was possible to regulate temperature in the room/bath but also possible to open the window for fresh air.

Depending on what people are used to,it might feel like the breakfast does not have a big selection of food.Anyway,you find something to eat and not go hungry. It might though be good to have some more selection of coffe -food,but it is not critical

Good hotel with an old world charm and spacious rooms.. Rooms are probably a bit dated, but decently maintained. Very good location in Sogndal.

Perhaps the breakfast could be improved a bit with better quality of fruits. Also the single coffee machine could not dispense the coffee we wanted. Only hot chocolate was functioning. Parking in front of the hotel is for 8 cars only, and is on Paid basis, except from 5pm to 8pm on weekdays, and free for all hours on Sunday.

Not really typical country side hotel. The other reviews mentioned they liked the leather interior details and furniture. For me it doesn't give any coziness. It give me some strange vibe of cheap hotel which was try to disguised with leather furniture. But I guess it just me. The breakfast was OK, but not much for my taste. For supper very little choice. (only main dish). Also they say that free parking is available. But this if you get very lucky (hotel yard is only for several cars). Otherwise you have to go and park around hotel in parking for which you have to pay. I think they should note that in advertise as its confusing.

The food's excellent quality, variety, and freshness impressed us. We were pleasantly surprised by the presence of USB-A and USB-C ports next to the bed, making it incredibly convenient to charge our electronic devices without adapters or searching for outlets. Such thoughtful details showcased the hotel's commitment to a comfortable and modern stay. Moreover, there is free parking in front of the hotel from 17:00 until 8:00, adding to the convenience and value of the stay. Overall, Best Western Laegreid Hotell exceeded our expectations, with its cleanliness, stylish interior design, extensive breakfast options, and convenient amenities. We would gladly choose this hotel again in the future. For a well-maintained hotel with a touch of American flair, this is an excellent choice.

Clean and spacious room, very comfortable bed, power plugs in all varieties next to the bed, great variety at the breakfast buffet (many options for people with allergies), free coffee and tea all day long in a little lounge in the lobby.

Nothing to mention here - the style of the hotel is a little outdated, but still did not feel uncomfortable or shady at all.

The staff is always nice, polite, and helpful. The hotel is comfortable and well decorated. I particularly enjoy the style of the lobby and the rooms, much more so than the cold ultra-modern hotels we see too often nowadays.

Again, I deplore the ridiculously small size of teacups for breakfast. I like staying at Lagreid, but these tea-cups do not contribute to my enjoyment (I usually use a coffee mug to drink tea, even though these are also too small).

Nice location in quiet fjord town. Beautiful hotel with classic interior. Larger room than average and wonderful view of the city.

No major complaints, but the bar advertised was not open. Drinks were available at front desk and public space in lobby or outside would work. Also not sure about public access men’s toilet in the basement - definitely designed for mature audiences only.

The location was terrific. The room was spacious, well appointed and very clean. Lovely staff, especially Justine who want out of her way to be helpful, friendly and had a great personality. This made our stay even more enjoyable.

The room is quite big compared with other hotels I lived in Norway! The breakfast is wonderful as well:) The elder lady who helped me check out is super nice.

During our stay, the elevator was out of work. We lived on fourth floor so we have to carry the super heavy luggages ourselves (we travel for about a month). The young lady didn’t give any help…
