The location was amazing with a really nice view of the lake (when a big car wasn't parked in front of our window!) and walking distance to the lake and town. Plenty of parking. The bed was super comfy and the apartment was warm / cool when we needed it to be. The kitchen had almost everything we needed. We self-catered a lot so we could eat at the table with the view. Pip the host was so friendly and gave us amazing recommendations both for Wanaka and for our next stop in Queenstown. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

It was expensive for what it was. There wasn't any cooking oil or a french press or similar to make coffee in the kitchen, but we did have our own. The bins didn't have bin bags in them and there was no compost bin. We felt bad putting food scraps directly into the bin with no bag.

Absolutely lovely motel in the heart of the town/lake! Great value for money. We really can't fault this stay. We stayed in one of the "basement" rooms - it had generous space, decent light and air. You walk right out from your room to the stunning lake front view of Wanaka. The staff were very friendly but allowed for privacy - they gave great travel and local tips. The bed was super comfy and spacious. Kitchen amenities provided e.g. fridge, microwave, kettle, teas/sugars. Very good water pressure shower. We stayed 1 night but you could easily do a week or more here. Free wifi with good speed. Free parking. Easy 5 min walk to main hub of town or the lake.

Loved everything about this precious gem! Our favourite place in NZ. We stayed in a 2 bedroom retro style chalet that was comfortable and cosy with everything we needed…. Fabulous location -just a few mins walk to all the village action, but peaceful & quiet; opposite a huge park directly in front of the lake. PiP the owner was a wealth of information- so helpful about things to do and places to eat. We’ll definitely be back for longer next time. Thanks PiP and Wanaka 🙏🏽😊

Property was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Great shower. Bed very comfortable. Location very close to town to walk for cafes and restaurants. Owner very friendly. We booked a basement studio. Good size. We were aware that there was not a view, and full kitchen facilities, this is clearly stated in the booking information. This did not bother us at all as we were out n about during the day. Will stay here again. Very good. Thankyou. Vicki & Rex.

The suite was very clean, provided everything we needed. Location is great, very close to Wanaka downtown proper. It was very nice to have laundry facilities with a free wash machine and only four dollars to try the clothes as well as a clothesline. Quiet area of town.

Our only comment is, it would be nice to have the bigger bed, but the rooms are small, and would not facilitate a queen bed. Nonetheless, it’s excellent value for the price.

Beautiful little chalet type rooms opposite the beautiful lake and mountains. We got to the accommodation a little late but there was a welcome note on the door of reception and our room key in a deposit box. We met our lovely host in the morning on our departure, super friendly with some good advice to get breakfast from Pemberton Patisserie, oh my goodness, best pastries ever!! Would definitely stay here again, the shower was the best I’ve had in NZ so far!!

Our room was spacious and very clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large and the view from our room was outstanding! I liked how we could walk everywhere and could leave our car parked. We will come back to Wanaka View Motel when we visit the area again.

There was nothing that I didn't like about Wanaka View Motel.

Location and living space; toilet separate from bathroom. The room was well appointed with cooking/food preparation facilities. The check-in arrangements were well organised and our host, Pip was very helpful overall. Having a hair blow dryer was much appreciated by my partner.

No cutting board was available in the room to cut fruit/vegetables. Limited TV options and the lack of availability of Foxtel and Netflix was just a little inconvenient.

Great location as it is walking distance to central Wanaka and directly opposite a park/reserve and the lake. We also luckily had a street facing room which gave us a good view of this. The host/owner was very friendly and happy to share suggestions for things to do in Wanaka. It was also useful to have an equipped kitchen with tea/coffee sachets and we enjoyed having a couch/tv.

The accommodation was very neat and tidy and looked clean, however the rooms may have been a bit dusty as we noticed when we were in the rooms my partner's mild asthma was triggered (and she needed to use her inhaler).

we had no issues however it was strange how we saw no staff what so ever. I’m not sure if I missed the information about the car space - however having more information regarding parking availability would be helpful. we found a park easily and it was safe, however information regarding this on the booking (if it’s not) would be helpful. apologies if it was stated and I missed it
