Very quiet. Our unit well away from the road. Free wifi. Shower had plenty of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities and also given a small bottle of fresh milk on arrival. Comfortable warm bed. Good microwave. Car could park right outside our unit. Easy access to city centre. Several fast food places within 500 metres of motel. Chairs on the attached deck were nice to sit on having a ‘cuppa’ outside after a long drive.

Tarmac surface for cars around properties was old and thus broken up in places. As I am slightly disabled I would have liked a non slip mat in the shower or a hand grip rail to hold in the shower. To enter our unit from the car there were four steps with a hand rail which I managed with difficulty but would have liked either a unit with no steps or a ramp to go up.

Really spacious accomodation. Full kitchen, good shower pressure, comfortable bed, great pillow, nice couch and sitting area seperate to sleeping area and parking right outside. I felt safe and very comfortable. The staff are also really lovely and nice. Great customer service.

I liked everything about this stay. But if you wanted a super modern and posh place, this would be too Kiwi and too functional. This is a great place if you want to feel casual and hang out on the porch, maybe talk to other people. It would also be great if you have kids. But if you want total silence and marble floors, it probably isn’t your style. The staff are super lovely and helpful and it is very comfortable, but it isn’t modernised. I find this a benefit rather than a negative.

The staff were amazing, helpful and very friendly. As an added bonus, we got a free room upgrade! The beds were super comfy with lots of extra blankets in the wardrobes and the heater was very effective. We also loved the location and how easy it was to find.

The couch bed in the lounge was quite uncomfortable (although it was very comfortable as a couch). It would have been great to have an extra heater for the other bedroom. I would also like to see hot chocolate on offer as well as tea and coffee. :)

The Manager was very welcoming and helpful - great customer service! I was able to store extra belongings there 3 days prior to stay (as at WOMAD), check in early and check out late, and choice of units available. Great facilities for drying camping equipment outside on grass and for washing and drying clothing from travels. Safe vehicle parking,, quiet environment,.

Shower area a bit worn out and evidence of damp but for the price I was ok with that

the manager was extremely helpful. and hardworking and generous with his time plus upfront re his unfortunate staff shortage (due to illness) for that week. There is on-site parking and approx 5 min to city by car. and my studio was clean and tidy, and as advertised.. Economical option.

It is an older motel, and to my eye, neglected in the past, but clear efforts are being made by the current manager to repair and improve. the cleaning staff were away sick the week II was there. but I only had to ask, and help was at hand

THe room was fabulous, EVERYTHING was fantastic, exactly like last year. Will always recommend this place to anyone going to New Plymouth.

Change the single mattresses to something softer - these ones were quite hard unfortunately. And there was a tiny bit of sag under the dining room table so there may need to be a pile or foundation replaced underneath :)

Comfortable and parking in front of the room. There was a little kitchen and the bed was comfortable. Nice reception staff.

I didn’t mind, but the place isn’t pretentious. It’s a Kiwi style motel. Highly functional and clean, but no marble floors or room service. I will definitely book here again when I come to New Plymouth for work

Great location, rooms were all clean. Super easy to find. Staff/owners were fantastic, ability to use the washing machine and dryer which were great as we were playing a sport.

Only thing we didn’t like was the our rooms weren’t all together. But we were beside one of our rooms which we liked.

Roomy unit. Shower was good. My daughter arrived late at night and they allowed me to hold her key and give it to her when she arrived. She then checked in the next day. Sky TV was wonderful.

Two little rolls of toilet paper. The microwave looked a bit old and needs replacing in my opinion.

Clean! Helpful service. Had everything we needed. Huge space, big comfy bed, nice linen. Microwave, fridge, spare blankets

The lights are bright! One bedside lamp or dim, soft bulb would have been more pleasant.y 4yo likes a light on to sleep, but of the 6 or so lights they were all super bright so I put a shirt over one wall light to make it soft enough. The bar heater was surprising- there are cheap and safe Heaters at The Warehouse that would be more energy efficient and safer for children.
