Good location, 10-12min walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Spacious room with a view overlooking the IJ. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Facilities were smart and the overall hotel was very clean, open and modern.

The hotel looks better than it does in picture. It is a big hotel but it feels more private than some other big hotels. The customer services was excellent. Special thanks to Prince who works at the bar on the ground floor. He went above and beyond, and was extremely kind to my kids. Thank you also to Taisiia at the front desk/reception; she changed my room immediately when i complained that the room they gave me and my kids was too high although I ended up staying in the room because the view was amazing. Taisiia asked if my kids had allergies and gave them a big bar of chocolate to munch on. All in all great experience.

Confusion with hotel and booking.com over reservation. But it was resolved to my satisfaction.

Lift access during peak times was really bad

The room was very comfortable and quiet with lots of spaces to put your things and we had a great view of the waterway leading to the train station. We tried the breakfast one morning, the buffet was ample but we found the cost too high so chose to go elsewhere. This hotel caters to lots of tour groups so the elevators were very busy and the lobby crowded. Walking to restaurants generally took about 15 or 20 minutes. Walking to the central train station took about 20 minutes. There are taxis parked outside the hotel all the time. We choose to walk while we can. This hotel is right at the cruise port for both river cruises and ocean cruises so a great place to stay either before or after a cruise.

The internet service was very poor most of the time which we found very surprising. The water pressure in the shower was weak and the adjustments touchy. Lodging pricing in Amsterdam is very high in general.

Room is reasonably big, comfortable for 3 of us. Tall building so there is a view. Scenic pierside walk from central station which is nice if you do not have heavy luggage to lug. Photo- Gauge for yourself if you are able to do the walk. You can alternatively take the tram (1 stop).

Bathroom door was translucent/ frosted- this may not work for some guests. Location- 15-20 minutes walk from central station. While we see comments and also via google maps that there is a good distance to walk to hotel, there is insufficient warning about staircases; take path alongside main road to avoid stairs. Hotel also can do a better job of advising on shortcuts during check-in which we only discovered by following other guests. The hotel is a short walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station with a direct train to the airport. If you walk out the rear of the train station towards the river and look right you will see the hotel - see the photos I've attached. It's a pleasant walk along the river to the hotel, approx 10 minutes. The hop on and off tourist boat and bus stops very close by and are great for visiting the sights. The hotel was excellent, as was the breakfast which had a whole range of items from fresh omelettes to sausages, fruit and cereals. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had a lovely view of the river.

Great location (walking distance from main station and bike hire just next door), amazing buffet breakfast with huge selection and made to order eggs/ omelettes and pancakes, on site restaurant was lovely, handy onsite shop for snacks, good gym and spa facilities, staff were very friendly and helpful, can store luggage with concierge before or after check in/out, very clean and comfy rooms which are a good size and bathroom had heated floor.

Bathroom door was made of frosted glass with no lock - this was fine for us as a family but might not be ideal for guests in other circumstances
