If big, fluffy towels, wall-to-wall marble and seventy-channel TV is your thing, maybe you should think about the Holiday Inn. But if you want a really friendly, personal hotel, with a personality of its own, this is the place. The four poster bed was big and comfortable, with a nice firm mattress. The room was clean, and well serviced every day. The quirky bathroom is, perhaps, a little tired, but there is an ample supply of piping hot water, and the shower works well. The staff - management and domestic - are fantastic, friendly and eager to please. I only had breakfast (evening meals and lunch are available, but need to be requested earlier in the day), which consists of mint tea (of course!), freshly squeezed orange juice, superb coffee, fried egg, two different types of pancake, bread roll and an assortment of jams and cheeses. I found this sufficient to last until dinner-time. Although the riad seemed to be fully occupied most of the time, it was always quiet, almost hushed, and very restful. The rooftop terrace is basic, but supplied with sunbeds and a shaded area. There is no bar, but very few places in Marrakesh serve alcohol, though it is available without difficulty. **Ask the hotel to arrange a taxi.** The Riad Ago is in the middle of the Medina (old city centre) which is a pedestrianised maze of souks and alleyways, and a member of staff will meet you to assist you to the Riad. If you try to get there by yourself, you will NEVER find it. Wandering about the souks, you will get lost, and that's part of the fun, but all lanes lead back to the square, and from there it's easy. Always carry money with you - if you find that one must have item, and decide to go back when you have money, you'll never be able to find it again. Unless you're hugely into Arab art and history, and want to visit every palace and museum, there isn't really seven days in Marrakesh, so consider an excursion into the desert for a couple of days.
Not much, really. I loved this place, and would go back in a heartbeat. I don't often submit reviews, unless a place really impresses me - this did!

The location was a short walk from the main square. The staff were AMAZING!! Hamza and Rida, brothers, gave us an overview of where we were located, local map, made bookings for day tours and airport shuttles, and even helped us wrap up two tajines (awkard-sized, fragile ceramics) for carry-on on our return flights. Breakfasts were tasty. All staff were very polite and super helpful. The riad was quiet and safe for mother/daughter travelers. We enjoyed the 2 little dogs on-site. They were never pesky, noisy or bothersome - we called them to us, as we missed our dog at home.
It's a restored, older riad, so it might not be asthetically possible, but a shower curtain would be so nice. Water got all over the floor when we showered. Another outlet in the bathroom or bedroom would be a huge help as there is only one outlet, and when it was chilly, that outlet had to be used for the plug-in heater. An easy solution would be a multi-outlet power strip provided in each room.

Very enjoyable stay in this beautiful Riad. It’s rustic and authentic and everything was immaculate. The whole staff was extremely friendly and hospitable. A breakfast of tea, coffee, juice, an egg, bread, sweet croissant, jams and cheese was served by the very kind serving staff. My large room was at the very top, so lots of privacy and absolutely no noise. Very comfortable bed and good water pressure for the shower. It’s on a quiet alley way but just one minutes from all the action. I had a very late flight on my checkout day, but they kindly stored my bags for several hours. I would definitely stay there again.
Not a negative, but I prefer a softer lower pillow. It was a marvellous experience.

The location is fantastic, right in the buzzing lanes of the Medina which lead to the Souk Grand Bazaar only 200 metres walk away The accommodation is a typical Moroccan Riad, a little bit rustic but that’s what you want right when staying in the Medina right Rooms are comfortable with an air fan and own bathroom The owners Redi & Houda are fantastic, so welcoming and friendly, their home really is your home, we extended our stay another two days it was so good. They organised a cooked Lemon chicken tagline and salad to eat there as a thank you which was so delicious we had it again the day we left before the airport. Considering your rooms are around the communal courtyard it was very quiet when people having an early breakfast before leaving in the mornings, the breakfast is very good, lots of breads, jams, honey and cream cheese and Hamza cooked small omelettes for my husband as he’s gluten intolerant which was very much appreciated. Very grateful for a fantastic feeling like home stay at Riad Ago. Thank you 😊😊

The staff were exceptionally helpful especially when we arrived late on our first night because of delays getting out of the airport (and thank goodness the hotel arranged to collect us). Also the owner showed me how to download an offline map to use to navigate around Marrakesh without wifi, which was great! The whole place was just what we hoped for, very traditional and beautiful Moroccan shabby chic, the room was very clean, the location was excellent and we had a surprising view! (Shown in pictures).
The puppies on the top patio (right next to our room) were super cute but they were leaving their mess around so I didn't want to spend time out there. A minor point as we only stayed 2 nights.

Everything is perfect, the location is right in the Medina but the Riad is so quiet considering the noise outside. The owners are fantastic Redi and Houda, they really are the friendliest most helpful people and anything you ask for they do. The breakfast is served by Hanza which is lovely with lots of breads, jam, honey and cheese, mint tea, orange juice and coffee. The rooms are comfortable and cosy. They have a rooftop with two gorgeous little dogs so if you’re a dog lover make that trip upstairs. They organise trips, airport transfers and delicious tagline lunches which are served in the courtyard. Riad Ago really is a magical little gem hidden in the Medina where you are treated like family and we will one day return for sure😊
There really was nothing to complain about

The location of the building is just in the center and walking distance to most places. It is an old traditional building which was converted to a small hotel. The rooms are decorated in a traditional Moroccon style. Breakfast was OK, some dishes from Moroccon cuisine with fresh juice, coffee and tea. Hamza who was the responsable of the hotel was terrific. He does not know to say NO and helped to all guests. It was a good stay for our family.
Could be little cleaner and a newer linen and blankets needed.

Great location 5min walk to Square. Lovely family run traditional Riad. ❤️ Good breakfast served when you like 👍. Information about trips available. Timely pick up from and to Airport, short walk through the alley ways to the Riad but they carried cases. Hot water available all times.
The beds are very hard. There was only 1 tiny floor fan, so it was a bit stuffy and hot at times in the room.

We spent 4 happy days at this Riad managed by fantastic and helpful people. The structure is very close to the central square and although it is located among the chaotic alleys it is very quiet. The breakfast is rich and made of typical products cooked day by day. The rooms are spacious and have typical Moroccan decor. The welcome was fantastic, with a welcome tea. The owner accommodated our every request, from the transfer service to the airport to the organization of various tours. All the staff were really excellent and welcoming!!!

Beautiful riad in a central perfect location. Nice quiet side street. Hamza and Abdul took care of us so well; we had to leave slightly early for our flight and they sent us breakfast to our room! Such caring and lovely hosts! We would love to come back.
Everything was great. It was slightly noisy middle of the night, but that was due to other guests walking back to their rooms. Didn’t bother me and I slept well.
