- This is an excellent choice for a 1-2 nights short stay or transfer in Mauritius. It is located very close to the airport. They offer free shuttle to the airport and a nearby beach at certain times. - The restaurant offered a wide range of food for breakfast and its cheff had started a monthly dinner buffet which turned out an excellent idea. - The personnel is friendly.

- At our arrival there was no shuttle picked up from the airport. Apparently it was supposed to run every 15’ but got nobody at the designated gate 4. I would suggest pairing as much as possible the service with the expected arrivals of incoming guests. Yet, the rest of the shuttle service (departures and beach visits) worked well.

Hote is near the airport and it offers the shuttle bus between airport and hotel, super convenient. Likewise, the hotel also provides the shuttle to a shopping mall and nearby beach. Breakfast is really good and room is clean and comfortable. This is a nice hotel as a transfer hotel for the waiting of the flight.

Staffs were very friendly and helpful, while the orgnization may be checked. I asked for a late-checkout and it was noted by the staff in the front table, while other staffs knocked and asked two times when we will check out. If the system is well-organized, I don't think this should happen two times.

Our flight home was delayed, so we had to make a swift booking to stay in a hotel overnight. The Holiday Inn was so close, with a free shuttle from the airport, so it was ideal. We booked on Booking.com, which was really easy to do. The hotel staff were lovely, the restaurant meal was top notch, room very comfortable with everything we needed, and we’d booked with breakfast included, which was a very comprehensive buffet, with eggs cooked to order. Absolutely perfect for our unexpected additional night in Mauritius. Thank you Holiday Inn 😊

Predictable style, large hotel close to the airport with a shuttle bus. Good breakfast buffet.

The staff were not quite a laid back and relaxed as the African countries we'd just come from. Being part of a large chain it lacked 'soul'. Good for an overnight before or after a flight but you wouldn't want to stay here for a holiday - the views from the room are not what you'd be hoping for on a tropical island! As guests sit outside to smoke by the pool then that's not pleasant for non-smokers. It would be nice if such hotels provided a flannel in addition to towels.

Loved our stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We wanted to be close to the airport as we had an early flight which was perfect.

The only suggestion is the airport shuttle. It only starts from 7am which is a bit late if your flight is before 9am in the morning as the airport gets busy from 7am and they require you to be there 3 hours prior your flight. It would be great if the shuttle could be slightly earlier to accommodate these flights as we had to book a private taxi.

We ended up staying 3 nights in the hotel, one planned when we first arrived, the next two unexpected when our flight with Air Mauritius was cancelled - and then cancelled a 2nd time. It's main advantage is its proximity to the airport. On our final overnight we used the option to take the minibus to the beach resort they work with - it was a pretty place with good snorkelling close inshore by a nice sandy beach.

In one of the 3 rooms we had there was a really stale smell (had a dog stayed in it perhaps?).

Great for those in transit. Clean, big rooms with very helpful and friendly staff. The free shuttle to and from airport is a fantastic service, as is the one to Astroea Beach, which is a stunning spot to kill a couple of hours.

The hotel and staff are great, but if you're looking for a place to stay with accessible attractions and stores/necessities, then there isn't a lot around other than the airport itself. But fantastic for a lay over.

The airport shuttle was there waiting for us after we landed. that was unexpectedly fantastic! We arrived at the hotel around 8am, very tired from a flight from London, so we asked if they could find us a room immediately. Normal check in is 3pm. The gentleman at the front desk asked us to sit for a few minutes while he contacted housekeeping. They came up with a room and we moved in immediately. So grateful! We wanted to go to a beach for a quick swim, but didn't want to pay the 40euro taxi fare. The hotel had a shuttle which took us to a nice beach (with a cafe and lounge area), left us there for 2 hours, then brought us back to the hotel ... for FREE. We were very happy xx The restaurant made us snacks and food at reasonable prices, the bed was large and comfy, the room clean and bright and everyone was very friendly and helpful.

the handle of the shower came off and was hard to regulate. Nothing else. All good. xx

we ordered a taxi for a transfer to the airport early in the morning and that reservation unfortunately didn’t go through via the hotel staff.

Everyone at the hotel is super nice, wanting to make sure we are comfortable, thumbs up to everyone at the hotel, continue with the good spirit. Ashwin, i hope i got the name right went above and beyond, even the new girl at the front desk at time of check out...People in Mauritius are generally nice, visit mauritius and stay at holiday inn.
