Amazing location on the Hibiscus beach, the view from our suite, the direct access onto the sandy beach for a refreshing walk or a relaxing lay down, plunging in the turquoise sea water… and much more, simply fantastic. We loved the exclusivity and privacy of the Shangri-La resort, it has its own virgin island, a short boat ride away, lots of free sea activities and payable ones. Enjoyed the walk around the resort, the boat trips from its Jetty. All in all: a wonderful place to enjoy memorable time on a picturesque beach. The luxurious and indulging treatment was great, all staff practice a heartfelt welcoming gesture and smiles, offer help and service. We also enjoyed the attention to details inside the rooms and all over the nicely designed resort. If you adore greenery and local culture, then this resort offers you an abundance of both to taste. We really appreciated the nice gestures the management offered us to our anniversary: the gifted cake, drinks and flower-decoration of our bed. We also enjoyed the variety of restaurants and music entertainment. Finally: I might miss out more positive experience , but can highly recommend othe Shangri-La for a couple or family in Mauritius

We had the immense joy of spending part of our honeymoon at Shangri-La Le Touessrok, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of exceptional, truly as premium as it gets. The entire staff was incredibly attentive, always greeting us with a smile and going out of their way to make sure everything was just right. Whether it was the concierge, restaurant staff, or the team at the beach, everyone seemed genuinely invested in making our stay unforgettable. The restaurants were a delight, with every meal turning into a special moment, a perfect mix of flavors, atmosphere, and impeccable service. And the resort's facilities and services were flawless, adding to a seamless, luxurious experience throughout. As honeymooners, we felt truly cared for, and it’s hard to imagine a more idyllic and welcoming place to celebrate such a special time. Thank you to the entire Shangri-La team for making our stay absolutely perfect.

Everything about our stay was truly perfect, from the service to the setting. If we had to mention one downside, it would be that there's no clear option to leave a tip when signing restaurant bills, which made it harder to show our appreciation for the amazing staff.

Need to improve the taxi experience since most of them do not accept card. A lot of discussion happened just for the hotel to help pay the taxi and eventually they did it. Also the activities was not clarified upon arrival with proper brochure like I didn’t know we have free snorkelling and program for the kids until later days. Restaurant and Spa booking should be enhanced through mobile app since a lot of staff are weak in English.

the fact that everything you need is well prepared for you to enjoy your stay

The beach was absolutely stunning. We loved the water-sports on offer such as sailing, water skiing, kayaking and padel boarding. The water-sports team were great. The decor of the hotel was beautiful and luxurious, especially at Safran restaurant, Sega bar and the beach house restaurant. We absolutely loved the access to the private island. Having lunch there and spending the day there was really special. Our cleaner Ayesha was great and we loved the chocolates she left everyday.

We were underwhelmed by the buffet restaurant TSK. The service was quite slow and not 5* in my opinion. The food was hit and miss. Sometimes really nice, sometimes average. The standard wasn’t as high as the other restaurants but was actually more expensive. We did really enjoy the Asian buffet night and the Yuzu tart was one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. Our room was lovely with an amazing view but our shower leaked into the toilet which caused us to slip a couple times.

I loved everything, from the room to the amazing staff welcoming you. The activities complementary with the stay were completely unexpected and filled our days with joy and fun. The location was stunning with nature and architecture perfectly complementing each other. But, above all, the staff played the biggest role: everyone was so helpful, kind and smiley - after eating at the Kushi restaurant our waiter came out just to greet us, and this really warmed our hearts.

There are not many shops / activities out of the hotel unless you do not want to drive ~1h away, so you are mostly forced to do things through the hotel - which is fine, but I was not expecting this to be the case. For example, you are mostly forced to eat in the hotel and the restaurants are very expensive (even compared to London). I could have expected this from Shangri-La and I could have researched more, so it is mostly my fault. I am saying this for the people that plan to come to make them aware that in the East part of the island it is more of a”resort type” of experience.

Everything, the hotel, the restaurants, the beach, the service and the stuff! My husband and I had a great time at there. The view and the beach are breathtaking. We tried all the restaurants and the food is amazing. Everyone was so nice and thorough, making us feel so welcomed. A special thanks to Tommy from the boat house, Kaleem from the house keeping, Annastasia, Agnes and Denis from the daily service on WhatsApp, Dylan from the coco’s beach house restaurant, Stacy who welcomed us when we checked-in, and Jauhan from l’île de Mangenie. The property is beautiful and the facilities were also good. The private island is unique and nice House keeping staffs ayesha and kaleed did a great job setting up our room. Habibah gave us in-house cookies that were excellent Really liked the 2pm ice creams provided The food was really good. Hats off to the chef ❤️

Wished they did not barge in right after 3 knocks only cause sometimes we may forget to put up the don’t not disturb sign outside and in such scenario’s when we are inside it could feel not so comfortable Snorkelling wished has a little bit guide by the instructors

The layout of the hotel and its unique location made our stay absolutely unforgettable. The renovation in 2024 for the common spaces is very well made and you do not have the impression of an old hotel. The service is exceptional and we enjoyed the water sport facilities. We recommend to take the boats to both sides of the island and make use of the complementary activities such as wakeboard. We rarely consider to visit a hotel twice but the shangri la in Mauritius is worth visiting again!

There is not much we can mention, but if you had to pick something out we would say that the bathrooms in the hotel rooms of the coral side are a little old and could be redone. Nothing that bothered us too much though!

Facilities - location - variety of restaurants and delicious food - professional friendly staff (Jessie & Deepak) are the best hats off to all of you guys. Room cleaning twice a day which is perfect - welcoming gifts in the arrival and chocolates in the middle of each day .. free water activities- kids club free activities .. It was just amazing.

Arabic food menu at the open buffet repeated during our short stay we wish if we tried something different. Many small insects in the room. Pool wasn’t heated the water was too cold.
