My room was clean and simple, and the owners were kind to me and helpful about explaining how to use the shared bathroom. The property is a little far from the city, but it's an easy walk from the nearest bus stop and I really liked the local area.

The unisex toilets are in the same room as the urinals, and you can't get to a toilet without walking past the urinals, which means every time you open the toilet door there's a chance you're going to see another guest fully visible at the urinals right in front of you. As a woman travelling on my own, this made me a bit uncomfortable, especially when I had to go in the middle of the night. I was relieved that I didn't see any other guests while I was there!

If you want an authentic Japanese experience with the most delightful hosts you won't want to miss this. We loved it...a stark contrast to hotels we had been in but the experience was magic.The hosts also recommended a place to eat around the corner which was again an incredibly authentic experience . So delightful!

Loved it. But be prepared to be outside your comfort zone if use to hotels and enjoy!

Traditional ryokan, run by an elderly couple. They know limited English but enough to communicate and were very accommodating. Room was spacious and futon was comfortable.

It’s not very close to the centre, transport links are good (definitely can’t walk from Nagoya station like I tried in the rain) and not a lot to do in the area.

It was such a GREAT place to stay, a perfect getaway from the busy center of Nagoya, the accomodation is traditional but authentic. The owners are absolutely adorable, and made the stay so pleasant!

A bit far from the city center so prepare for public transport

The space was nice, neat and cozy. We were given fresh robes to wear which was very nice. And the sheets were very comfortable! The owners are the sweetest japanese couple. We were very grateful for their kindness and they even gave us origami cranes as a present.

The only downside was a 25 min walk from the station, which we didn’t mind.

very nice place. The owners are a cute nice couple! Even if we didn’t speak the same language we manage to understand each other! It was a very nice experience! It’s a little bit far away from the centre, but still better because of that!

The fact that it is a little bit far away from the subway or train station! But not a problem comparing to the experience!

Family run Ryokan in a quiet neighborhood. Owners even drove me to the train station the next morning.

Building was worn around the edges and light stains on window blinds. Linens were clean.

Nostalic, comforting and homely. The lady was very sweet. The bath is enjoyable and relaxing. The pillows! I love them.

The other visitors were noisy.

Very comfortable room with multiple Futons, big bathtub and quiet area.

I cannot complain. The only thing could be when you are a light sleeper, because the walls are thin.

Owners are very comprehensive and they will help with everything you need, this Ryokan gives you a beautiful experience in a traditional house. Everything is well prepared, the bedroom is good, the bathrooms are really clean and the garden is beautiful!
