We stayed here on a friend's recommendation and the hotel was every bit as nice as we had expected. It is on Mount Inasa with a wonderful view down over Nagasaki harbour. There is a regular free hotel shuttle bus to Nagasaki Station - all day at weekends, there is a gap early afternoon on weekdays. Last bus timetabled 20:55 but once left a few minutes early. The breakfast is served on the top floor - amazing views and a good selection of Japanese and western style food. Our room and bathroom were very clean and the beds comfortable. Do ask for a room with sea view. There is a coffee lounge where you can sit and have free tea and coffee during the day - as well as having a fridge and kettle etc in your room. Comfortable sofa (can convert to a bed if a family staying) and desk and chair. Twin "single" beds were actually double bed sized. The hotel lobby is amazing! Lunch at Dejima museum ( the island which the Dutch historically traded from) was delicious - and the museum interesting. Glover park was beautiful day and night - with great views. The atomic bomb museum and Peace park are essential to visit.

Location was on the side of a hill so access to it is either a long walk uphill or to wait for the hotel shuttle to the train station, which runs twice an hour, I think. The hotel itself is pretty old but it is very comfortable and the room size was big for japanese standards. As we had a car, it was a short drive up the hill to the lookout point in the evening. If you are driving, I suggest leaving your car at the hotel, taking the shuttle bus to the city and then using the tram system to get around to the different sites, saves trying to find car parking.
Location required you to either drive or rely on the hotel shuttle to access the city. On the plus side, it means that it is in a quiet surrounding with just some cars driving past and but no crowds.

It was a beautiful place to stay. As soon as I stepped into the twin bed room and saw the facilities, and then looked at the view from the window I just let out a deep breath and relaxed. The staff were very helpful. I appreciated using the free shuttle bus to the railway station, but I also used the local bus service a very short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was excellent too. If I had the opportunity I would definitely return to stay.
The staff did not speak very much English (and I spoke only a few words of Japanese) but with the help of Google translate we were able to communicate. There was no garden.

The night view of Nagasaki from our room is great. Just like you are viewing at Mt. Inasayama Observatory but at a lower level. Room is big and comfy beds. Great breakfast! Staff is helpful and nice. There are shuttle bus services to JR station and Mt. Inasayama Observatory, though I haven't use it. One of the best stay in my trip.
If it is going to be renovated it would be perfect. Wifi is a little bit slow. Suggested to use black window curtains to reduce reflections during photo shooting of night scenery.

- The room was large and the view of the city great. - The staff was extremely polite and helpful. - The breakfast was good. It included fresh fruit, bacon and sausages, grilled salmon, pork belly, yoghurt and cereals etc. It's a mix of Japanese and western cuisine. It was weird however, that you have to drink your coffee from a paper cup, despite the hotel is clearly trying to be sophisticated. - There is hotel parking available.
The view comes at a price. The hotel is away from the city center, but does offer a regular shuttle bus to make up for it. - The room has seen better days. Everything was aged, the plastic was discoloured, the cabinet door didnt close properly, there are stains on the couch etc. A renovation seems to be due.

Nestled in the hills, there is a shuttle bus up and down from the railway station. The view was wonderful. We are from Napier New Zealand and like Art Deco and this property had an art deco feel about it. Spacious rooms and facilities. The breakfast buffet had fruit and for me this was a real drawcard! We’d booked a night tour with Kings and the driver who turned up didn’t speak English! The duty manager was concerned at this and kindly organised another tour and driver.

Love the view of the city at night. Must book the harbour view room. No need to brave the cold wind during winter. Nice touch for the hotel to place an informative card to indicate what we could see from our room. Room is spacious though a little dated. The entire hotel has a nostalgic feel. It seems popular as a wedding spot. Kids below 12 stay for free. Just need to pay for breakfast. The hotel provided a small amenity pouch for my kid. Appreciate the free shuttle service to Nagasaki station. Very punctual.
The hotel included some local dishes in the breakfast spread which are good but the spread can be improved. Dishes for the two mornings are the same.

The best view of Nagasaki day or night, a very luxury touch, clean and huge size of the room, polite staff and variety of fruit at breakfast. They also have a shuttle bus to the city. A great value.
They refused us to go to restaurant terrace to take a picture. It is a total absurd that in a hotel with such perfect view you are not allowed to go outside on a terrace or roof. it’s only possible in heartless Japan. Also, paper cups at breakfast are not acceptable. There should be a proper coffee machine and tea also. There was a bottle of wine and drinks in the fridge that seemed like complimentary treat, as there was no a price list in the room. Be careful because they are not free!

This is a very traditionally run deluxe hotel. Although it's a little on the older side, the employees were very friendly and responsible. The rooms had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. The shuttle bus to Nagasaki station was also very nice. The view from the rooms facing the port was also beautiful.
Half our party was unable to find/connect to the wifi.

Great location up on a hill with a great view of the city. A regular free shuttle bus will take you to Nagasaki Station. There is also a nice okonomiyaki restaurant just outside the hotel (but not much else).
If you don’t take a shuttle bus or have your own transport, the location might be inconvenient.
