The small and charming japanese townhouse. We arrived at Rinn Kyoto Station hotel where we received keycards to our house and we left the luggage there, because it was too early to check-in. They transferred our luggage to the house before 16:00, which was nice. The house itself was very cozy, with living room and the bathroom at the ground floor, and bed room at 1st floor. There is also a microwave, small fridge and a washing machine in a separate room. The bathroom was nice and effective and we also enjoyed the bathtub partially inside/outside the house. There is also very small garden next to the bathtub. During our stay it was cold outside, so we were using heating from the A/C which was effective. The house is 7 minutes from the nearest bus stop, and around 10 minutes from the train stop (which is two stops from the main Kyoto Station). The neighborhood is very peaceful and calm with local houses and people.
Main bed on the 1st floor was very very soft (actually the softest bed I evere slept in). I was firstly afraid to sleep in it, but it was ok. There is no place to place clothes in the bedroom. The only one closet was locked, because of some service items.....I dont understand where we were supposed to put our clothes. The house itself is very small, so 4 people were more then enough to live there for 5 nights. I am 193cm and Ihad troubles to sit on the toilet, because the room is very small.

I felt like a princess with all the wonderful amenities and the large bathtub in the cool air with the bath salts was amazing and almost better than an onsen because it was private but still glamorous. It felt great after a long day of traveling. Ether direction is ether a bus stop or a train station so even though not right next to station it’s still pretty convenient. It was nice having 2 floors and was enough space to spread out as a family. The place you check in is close to the station and they offered a free shuttle to our accommodation which was great! All in all was comfortable and a lil luxurious. Staff were responsive and helpful.
Nothing disliked.

Super amazing and good for the price, it was very relaxing to be able to take a big bath at the end of a very long day. The bed was very comfortable, but if you want to sleep in, you might not be able to due to the curtains letting light through.
The ceilings are quite low, especially for my boyfriend who is 6 foot, he had to duck through each doorway and in the toilet. There was a bit of an odd smell in the bathroom, but not too bad. The location is a bit far from the main center, but there is a bus stop nearby and fairly quick to reach central kyoto.

Love this hotel! This cozy house has a long history but remodeled with modern equipment. Located in a quite neighborhood with local residents. Easy walk to JR and bus stations. It has a washer, a cooking stove, a microwave, a fridge, and a coffee maker. You need to check in at another hotel near Kyoto station and get a free taxi ride to this one. High recommended!

The property was amazing ,so beautiful and the bath was perfect after a long day of walking about Kyoto. The beds where the most comfortable out of my whole trip in Japan (I also went toyko and Osaka ) the staff where very friendly and everything was provided for us such as hair brushes and toothpaste ❤️ the area was very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist traps which was nice to come home to after the chaos of the tourist spots ☺️ if you are a smoker though, do know that the closet smoking area I could find was a 15-20 min walk from the property but honestly I enjoyed the stroll ☺️

Good comfy traditional kyoto house! Kids liked the tub :) Was a cosy environment for a family to stay in. There is a family mart nearby around 5 mins walk which is very convenient. Heater / Aircon was available both in the upstairs bedroom as well as the living room. Washing machine is available but note that there is no drying function - do request for a drying rack.
breakfast and dinner were pretty nice but expensive for what we got - not alot of restaurants nearby for dinner unfortunately. Also, cleaning service was arranged once for our 4 night stay and they did change the towers etc but did not refill the coffee pods and tea bags.

The private residence was nice and homely, comfortable bed. The staff service was beyond helpful, so committed to good service. Staff available who speak English. They provide lots of nice bathroom products . The shampoo, conditioner, body wash all top quality, not cheap. The bed pillows and blankets feather down, so soft. Washing machine onsite if needed. Plus a small hot tub for 1 person at a time. It was good value.
The kitchen area was to small needs somewhere to prepare food to cook , also the stove is next to sink, nowhere to put washed dishes. No bowls only plates. Otherwise equipt well with 2 pots, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery. Small fridge for a short stay. Far from center need to take taxis to bus or train stations.

Staff were very helpful. Nice entrance & bathtub. Bedroom was large in that there was an extra tatami room.
Have to be very careful coming down the stairs. We booked this hotel for the kitchenette and it was tiny. The fridge essentially had 1 usable very small shelf. For some reason, the closets are locked and we weren't able to use them. They did give us a stand alone hanger but it's just something to know to ask for and hopefully they have enough in stock. Pillows were very hard

It is an awesome traditional Japanese house with modern touches. It is very good for 2 people but with 4 it is a bit crowded. It has a stove, a bidet and both a tub and a shower. Tatami floor is beautiful and lovely to be walked on. It is a very silent and beautiful neighbourhood around.
Narrow and tiny toilet room. If 4 people book a single house you are sleeping in the same room, be wary of this.

The room is what you would expect of a typical Japanese-style accommodation. Nothing western about it, but that's the novelty of it. Be prepared to squeeze yourselves in if you are a group of 3 and above in a room. I would recommend staying as two people at a room for maximum comfort and enjoyment. It's nice to get back to a very relaxing accommodation like Rinn Hanayacho Asagiri after a long day of touring around Kyoto.
Accommodation may say that they can fit 4 people in a room - and it's true to a point - but it wasn't as comfortable as one would expect it. Better to book separate rooms for big groups. 2 people in a room is most convenient.
