Clean, modern, nice friendly and helpful staff, conveniently located, good price

Only one chair in a room for 2 people, rooms are quite small, pillows are not so comfortable, big bright ceiling light is too bright - how about putting wall lamps for each bed? Check in is slightly difficult to do on your own

Central location easy access to station. Small hotel with comfortable rooms. Projector was a real plus and aircon was excellent

Rakuten Stay Kyoto has a great location and comfy rooms, which are nice by Japanese standards. It's easy to get around and see the sights of Kyoto when you stay here. The rooms are cozy and have everything you need for a good night's sleep. However, there's a problem with getting invoices from the hotel staff. Even after asking a few times, they haven't given me one. This can be frustrating if you need it for your records. Overall, Rakuten Stay Kyoto is a good choice if you want a convenient and comfortable place to stay in Kyoto.

Nice size room, the beds were a little hard for me,but my husband was ok. The staff were brilliant. 5 mins walk from kyoto main station, but the quiet side. Good access to bus and trains. The pillows are a bit weird. One side had rice in I think,I had a small reaction to it. But otherwise all good The projector was a great idea. Bathroom was great

Beds a bit hard, air con ferocious, the central light took us 2 days to work out it was on the white remote

Nice facility, great sanitary areas - showers, restroom. The wall projection was not much of add on as it was not great resolution on the wall.

Would have been good to have a small lounge to seat and have coffee or a bite to eat in the morning A bit too many emails from the property. At one point was annoying. Check in was done in advanced as requested but again we were asked to do check in at the property with picture taking and passport copy again. This was a bit unnecessary and could have been avoided if initial check in was accounted for properly.

Room was spacious and exceptionally clean. Fresh towels were brought daily. Projector makes the room feel really cosy. Microwave in the lobby was a big plus. Location is good. Just a street away from the main train station. The staff was really nice.

Absolutely nothing.

The room size is not too small for the hotels located close to the Kyoto station. Toilet and bathroom are separated. There are only three rooms on each floor. Then, it is quiet.

A guest of this property needs to read the instruction for the check-in procedure with a tablet at the front of the hotel. There is no room cleaning service for the stay less than seven nights.

Fantastic location just a short walk from Kyoto Station. Small room as expected in Japan, but lovely and clean. We didn't use the projector as we were only in the room to shower and sleep! There was a balcony for fresh air, and a laundromat a very short walk away.

Location very good. 10 minutes walk from Kyoto station as well as local and long distance bus stations. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops and a big shopping centre nearby. The lady at reception is the most kind person, who was a great help, above and beyond her duty to help us with a personal problem

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was elegant and well equipped with ameninites.

We couldn't use the projector as it has issues with switching to english. Perhaps a guide ahould be left on the table for that.
