It was nice to experience a traditional Japanese style room. But for me a very 2 Nights uncomfortable sleep.. but expected when sleeping on futon beds.. shower and toilet were awesome.. nice to have a seperate dining area.. very handy to information centre and fijisan st. One stop to Fuji Q st.. we are at Mos burgers each night and can highly recommend. Room was very clean. With airconditioning.. Recommend if you are looking for a real Japaneese experience.

Pillows very hard.. stairs to room quite steep and slippery in the rain.

It was surprisingly larger than I anticipated and the traditional beds were comfier than I thought they would be!! I was super happy they were even heated! The place was definitely prepped for winter, which was great because it was much colder than I planned for the start of spring. The cute lady that runs this little place was super friendly and the location was perfect!! Literally right next to the station (which has a little observation deck on the top floor with a great view of Mt.Fuji) and plenty of restaurants and cafes right within walking distance. And the price was something you just can’t beat.

The only downsides were that the room we stayed in had steep steps up the second floor and it was difficult to shimmy our luggage up them. Then in our room there was a connecting staircase to the first floor that was blocked off, but you could sometimes hear others from downstairs. This was probably the only room with that and if you closed the door to the main sleeping and living room area you forget that is even there.

The accommodation is very close to Mt Fuji Station. We rented Japanese room to experience Japanese vibe. It was great. We can see Mt Fuji from the window of our room. The heating system and water pressure was strong. We loved the electric heated futons. The room was very clean. The toilet was very modern with heated toilet seat and bidet. The bathroom floor was lined with rubber mat so it's not cold nor slippery.

The pillows are very small. I think they are traditional Japanese pillows as they are filled with beans. Needed to climb stairs to go to our room. The bathroom's windows are facing the hallway, which give you less privacy as you can see people walking in the hallway through the tampered glass of the windows.

The toilet is located outside. Meanwhile, the shower room is located inside the room. During winter it was hard for us to use the toilet, especially at midnight.

The owner was nice, the location was very close to the station and the vibe of the Japanese style room was very cute and fun!

If you're staying in the Japanese Style room it is on the 2nd floor which only has stairs so be aware if your luggage is heavy. The pillows are also very small.

Excellent location only a minute’s walk away from the train/bus station. View of Mt. Fuji out the windows. Very spacious: two 6-mat rooms. Could easily accommodate four or more people. Nice big refrigerator, a microwave and eating utensils. Comfortable futon, with a blanket and a comforter so it was plenty warm. Good large waste bins, helpfully marked for burnable and non-burnable trash. Sengen Shrine and the Chureito Pagoda both within walking distance as well as a Book-Off with the best selection of manga I’ve seen. Delightful host.

The downstairs apartment was open to mine (an open stairwell with a locked door at the top) so it was a bit noisy. Closing the sliding door helped somewhat. Also, the main street is right outside, so I recommend earplugs for sleeping.

The host was a very very friendly madame which translated everything that was needed for a conversation on her phone. It is 1 Minute walking from the bus station. Air conditioner are also in the rooms. You have a perfect view over Mount Fuji! & the best of all: a full automated toilette that is lighted and even flush on its own! Pretty spectacular I have to admit 🙌🏽

The bathroom curtain had a little muld & the floor grounds were a little bit old but all the over things were very good!

The owner was very sweet and guided us to our room. The room was spacious, and we had a lovely view of Mount fuji in the morning. Everything was tidy and comfortable. Would stay here again.

We couldn't use too many electronic items at once (eg kettle and microwave) as there was a note saying that it may short-circuit the apartment. Not really an issue for us, but something to be aware of.

Very lovely grandma, amazing location and the room was basically on the same level as a ryokan minus the service. The heated futon was so good in the winter, room was not very warm so that was a good thing. Literally a 2 min walk from fujisan station and extremely easy to get around the area

The only disappointment is that we couldn't stay longer, a little confusing to check in but not too difficult.

Conveniently located near fujiyama Station. Able to view Mt fuji although there was some obstruction due to low level. Japanese owner waited up for us even though it was way past check in timing, made sure we were comfortable and settled in before she left.

Level 1 & 2 was divided by a wooden panel. Could hear the other residents loud and clear.
