We booked a junior suite and were allocated a bedroom. After complaining and showing the print out from booking. com which quite clearly says a bedroom and separate living room we were reallocated to what I would describe as a suite!

Beautifully designed hotel throughout with a lovely internal courtyard garden and also tables outside overlooking the lagoon which are perfect for an evening aperitif. Very good service from all of the staff including front of house; at breakfast and in the beautiful bar. Very good buffet style breakfast with a wide choice of fresh food and fab patisserie. Great location - easy walk to St Mark's but also close to vaporetto stops and close to a slightly more peaceful part of the city and the Arsenale. The hotel also has its own pier so we were able to arrive directly from the airport by water taxi. Really a first rate hotel all round.

The location is perfect, especially for visiting the Arsenale during the Venice Biennale. The design of the hotel is beautiful and modern. The staff is attentive and helpful, constantly refilling the water in your room and maintaining impeccable order. One day, I took a shower in the middle of the day, and they cleaned my bathroom afterward without even being asked. The hotel also features a cute and quiet bar, which is perfect for enjoying a cocktail. They send your breakfast to the room and you can order it the day before , this service works perfectly . It was other useful services as the water taxi stop and a very small gym .

I would have loved to have a desk in my room . The wifi ask you too many things to log in.

Location and Service (warm, friendly, efficient)! The hotel is excellently located for discovering Venice, especially if like me, Venice is still unfamiliar and if one's preference is for a more local feel of things. The water taxi from the airport stops at Arsenal, which is the stop right in front of the hotel's main entrance. So if arriving at night, it is quite impossible to get lost, even if everything appears dark and foreboding. Its location along the water front affords some atmospheric views as well. It is an easy walk to the popular sites, and yet turn off the main thoroughfare, and one is given a glimpse of local life, away from the tourist-crowd.

I recently stayed at Ca’ di Dio in Venice and was thoroughly impressed. I was kindly upgraded to a junior suite which was a pleasant surprise! The room was beautifully decorated, with every detail thoughtfully considered, offering amenities I haven’t encountered even in other five-star establishments. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful stay. The staff, both at the reception and the bar, were incredibly kind and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Grazie Matteo and the whole team! The hotel’s ambiance is enriched by authentic historical paintings and statues, creating a unique atmosphere. Its location by the river offers a great view and is conveniently situated right in front of the Arsenale vaporetto stop. It’s also very close to the Doge’s Palace, though perhaps a bit farther from the city center. During my January stay, I noticed that after 9 PM, the streets in the immediate neighborhood were quite empty, and it was challenging to find open places to dine or have drinks. This might not be the case during the summer months. I had hoped to visit the spa but couldn’t find the time. I would love to return and experience more of what this exceptional hotel has to offer.

One small area for improvement may be the reception desk. It was quite small, which slightly undermined the first impression. Incorporating a design that reflects the hotel’s rich history could enhance the overall ambiance. I didn’t opt for the breakfast, as I typically don’t have breakfast, but I did find the prices for breakfast and room service to be a bit high. However, considering it’s a five-star hotel, this is understandable.

After many trips to Italy over many years, this is my favourite city hotel by a long way. My fiancee and I stayed here for 2 nights after getting engaged before our arrival. All the staff were wonderful to deal with and helped make the trip extra special for us. Location is perfect, a few minutes walk to San Marco Basilica. The bedroom was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable. The food and drink options in the hotel and the surrounding area were fantastic. We used the hotels complimentary transport to Murano and had a lovely time at the factory. Will definitely be back

Understated elegance, beautiful art, quiet and calm ambience. Stand-out staff. This used to be a monastery for hundreds of years- and it is now the most amazing hotel. We have stayed in a lot of higher end hotels over many years, and this one was the best. Met by a lovely (huge!) doorman on arrival of the water taxi to the private entrance. Bubbly on arrival. Beautiful, calm and classy environment throughout. Amazing food and drinks. Lots of touches of class and thoughtfulness throughout- from comms prior to our stay, little bits of detail in the hotel itself- everything properly and thoughtfully and thoroughly planned in meticulous detail. Best of all for us- what made it properly outstanding- was the staff. Every single one of their staff were all and to a fault incredibly polite, friendly and helpful; going out of their way to help but never intrusive. When asked they were keen to recommend places to visit or eateries, or to quietly help with the little things until they were satisfied that we were. Every person we interacted with from the most junior to senior were properly nice and warm individuals and they made it their job to make every interaction positive and our stay a good one.
