we stayed for 13 nights and had an unforgettable holiday. The whole hotel team is very friendly and supportive day and night. The whole hotels is an old building and gives you a very authenic sense of Tuscany, dont expect a fancy, cold, modern hotel with large rooms and latest technology. However the rooms have AC, fridge and all necessary equipment. The terrace with a breathtaking fiew to the valley and the 24h available bar are definitely an advantage of this hotel compared to others. The location is in walkable distance to the Porta Romana and the historic center of Siena

The hotel is situated just outside the walls of the city in a quiet part of town and a short walk into the campo or you can take a bus in to the historic centre which only takes a few minutes. Breakfast served in the beautiful garden overlooking a breathtaking Tuscan landscape was plentiful and fresh, a typical Italian selection. The staff in the hotel completely overshadowed all of this with their quiet courtesy and kindness even coming out to show us the bus stop and look at the timetable to suggest which bus to catch for the most convenient journey. Our bags were carried out to the taxi as we left and there were a dozen other things like serving us drinks in the evening in the garden when friends came to visit. All done so elegantly. Bus tickets for sale at reception. I could not have found a better place to stay and learned a great deal from the staff about the history of the city that no guide book could reveal. Lucio was a fountain of knowledge about the traditions of the Contrada we were in - Val de montone. He knew where to find a church out of many where we could go to mass.The view from my room out across olive trees vines and hills was breathtaking. All of which helped to make this a memorable visit.

I have traveled around the world and this is one of my favorite hotels ever! The overall ambiance and friendliness cannot be beat. The view from the outdoor area where you can also eat breakfast takes your breath away. Lorenza,Lucia, and Allessandra are always there to help with unconditional smiles and patience. The location and room comfort were excellent as well as the delicious and assorted buffet breakfast served in a beautiful breakfast room or outdoors with unsurpassed views. This was my second time staying at Santa Catarina. and all my expectations were met and I cannot wait to return again.

Amazing location and terrace garden! The room was unique and the views were incredible. Close enough to town to walk as well. Get a bottle of wine in town and drink it outside at sunset :)

The wifi didn’t work the length of the stay & we found the bed linens and bed itself to be uncomfortable. The breakfast was minimal but tasty. Parking was hard to find but we called the front desk and they helped us out. The walls are also very thin (but this is the price for a historic building so we don’t hold it against them much)! You can feel the vibration & hear the cars driving on the cobbles outside as well

Amazing hotel with exceptional staff. They were exceptionally polity, friendly and accommodating our every request (and we did have few :) Fantastic view from the rooms facing the back of the hotel, as well as the garden and breakfast area. The breakfast was the same every morning, which could have been slightly different for the sake of varieties, but it was ok. One can have as many coffees as they wanted and all great Italian types! Very clean rooms and all other facilities. They were cleaning the rooms daily and changing our towels daily as well. There is a parking right behind the hotel with a daily rate of 10 eur. There is an access from the parking to the hotel without having to go outside of the garden. Very convenient. The hotel is close to the city center, 1.3km to be precise. The walk is pleasant and very safe even later in the night. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!

Hotel Santa Caterina was an ideal place to stay for exploring Siena. We greatly appreciated the parking lot, so that we could leave our car and easily explore on foot. Close to the Roman Gate, the city, restaurants, and shops were easy to find. The staff were always available and helpful, willing to answer questions, and help with things like bus fare. The courtyard was beautiful, with stunning views of the countryside, the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine. We loved Siena even more than we had expected thanks to HSC!

The rooms could use some updating, with more contemporary lighting, bedding, and linens.

This hotel was incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view from the outside garden terrace is just so magical. The staff were attentive and lovely. The rooms were large with a stunning Tuscan charm. The air con worked a treat. And the breakfast was beautiful! Huge selection in the most lovely setting. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel is slightly out of Sienna but it’s only about a 12 minute walk, very easy. We used the hotel parking which did cost extra and was slightly difficult to park in. However, you can’t park in the centre of Sienna so this is really a great option to have.

The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with any questions or requests we had. Their warmth made us feel truly welcome. The manager is such a kind and gracious woman, and the entire administration team provided top-level service throughout our stay. Thank you once again for making our trip so special. REALLY impressed with the quietness of the.room.despite traffic.noise from the street. Noticed it has double layers of windows, each with two layers of glass, The windows function well and look elegant in my eyes. The previous night, I stayed in another hotel, the room facing street was so noisy and its owner was arrogant towards my opinion on this. I have to say, S Caterina Siena has done a NICE job on sound insulation, which I value most for accommodation. The room feels cool (AC already on,good service) n smells fresh, I felt relaxed n secure there, love the interior design, simple but cozy. Good location, enjoyed the easy walk to the centeral plaza, and nice breakfast

Literally everything!!! But to list the top features of this hotel: 1) the views from the outdoor tree shaded terrace 2) the staff especially Andrea who was brilliant 3) the old world charm of the hotel 4) great breakfast 5) the relaxed and chilled vibe of the place 6) very reasonable drinks considering there's not much else nearby 7) the bustop right outside which takes 5-7mins to get you directly into the centre

Nothing to criticise except the nasty mosquitos due to the lush green surroundings. Tip: Pack mosquito repellent or be prepared to be a feast for the mosquitos if you plan to enjoy the outside space.
