The hotel was fantastic. The staff were so kind and helpful - they helped us with our luggage, booking restaurants, and booking a day trip to the Etna Wineries. The facilities were great, and the snack bar at the poolside was brilliant. The views were stunning, including the view of Mount Etna and all the surrounding landscape. The hotel is quite high up the cliff, and so walking back uphill from Taormina was a bit tough in the heat, but there was a bus stop right outside the hotel which ran regularly between Taormina and Castelmola and plenty of taxis in the town centre.

Our room was very nice and the view from our room was amazing - Mt Ethna and View of the Ocean. The breakfast had numerous choices very delicious. The staff at reception were extremely helpful in dealing with any queries we had and helped us with finding things to do. Excellent we felt really relaxed after our visit there.

We Loved it. The only minus we had was having to use bus to get into the town as it would be 30 minutes by foot down steps. Good exercise, This is expected here. The bus service was very good. Taxi is available at 25 euro, minimum price.

We were absolutely WOWed when we arrived, the view is absolutely breath-taking, a panoramic view of the bay and Mount Etna. The pool area and pool are absolute stunning, the sun beds are the most comfy I've ever experienced. The breakfast was a delicious selection including delicious fresh bread and freshly squeezed juices, you can also get your choice of eggs on request, would highly recommend the scrambled eggs. Our room and the view from it was absolutely stunning, lovely bathroom and comfy bed. We enjoyed the walk down the stairs into town lovely views the whole way and the walk back is absolutely fine after a few aperols!

It would be helpful to have had someone on reception at all times as there wasn't always someone available.

The pool was wonderful and the free breakfast was really good.

Way too many stairs to climb, not only to walk to and from the centro but to get to your room, breakfast and the pool as well. There should be a lift, shuttle service and more notification on booking.com about this. It cost 20 euros to take a cab home from dinner every night because the buses stop running at 7:30. The buses only run every 90 minutes during the day. I felt like a prisoner and I’m in good shape. I’m 64 but run half marathons and I found the stairs way too much!

A lovely little hotel with an amazing view. The staff were all very helpful (thank you) and we enjoyed the excellent breakfast. The pool area was great for relaxing, with comfortable sun loungers. Lovely pool area. Rooms are varied and well appointed.

Be prepared for the 15 min walk down vertical steps to the town. Beware long gaps in the bus schedule so you have to time it right if you can’t face the walk back up in the dark as taxis are not great value! You get used to the walk and the view is totally worth it! Perhaps the poolside snack bar or upper terrace could be run as a bar for a couple of hours in the early evening?

The property is perched above Taormina overlooking Etna and the coastline, which makes for abundant gorgeous views. Be aware that it also means you’ll have to come back up steep staircases when returning to the hotel, so take advantage of the buses (which conveniently stop right in front of the hotel) or taxis which stop in the square and try to plan because though these run regularly, they don’t run all night or at very close intervals. Rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and the breakfast was pleasant. The best thing about this property for me though was Carla and Loris — they helped me organize all my transit, answered every question, and were always kind and responsive.

While I definitely understand why this is the case — and it’s not a knock on the lovely things the property does offer — the lack of dining or snacking options except during somewhat narrow hours was difficult for me: on days when I didn’t want to descend into town, I had to go to the neighboring property for food.

The views are amazing, the staff as well, great breakfast. Half way between Taormina and Castelmola, quiet and private. The pool is great addition. If you figure out the shortcuts, you can be at the duomo in 10 minutes. I loved walking there.

I paid 100 Euros for parking (20/day). That made me sad when I figured out that there is plenty of street parking within 800 m radius especially towards Castelomola. This info was nowhere to find on any website. Just unpack at the villa and drive around and you will find parking, if you are lucky there is street parking right across the hotel.

Amazing hotel. Lovely relaxing swimming pool & a nice continental breakfast served each morning. Parking was easy to organise with the hotel and efficiently managed. The hotel is really peaceful, relaxing and gets the sun all day. You also have amazing views of mount etna. Would highly recommend this hotel to stay for a trip to Taormina. Staff were great as well, friendly and couldn't help enough!

The hotel is up a steep hill so it had amazing views over Taormina and we knew this when booking it but it's something to keep in mind. It's about a 20 minute walk into town. This is fine when down but can be more challenging when back up, especially in the heat! Taxi is €20 from town to the hotel in the day (5 minutes) but can go above +€50 at night time. So I'd say this is just something to keep in mind. We personally liked escaping town to the relaxing hotel!

The views from the terrace of our suite took my breath away. The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. The pool area is absolutely stunning. The staff, especially Loris, are friendly, helpful, accommodating and speak excellent English. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty and when I told them my daughter had celiac they baked special gluten free breakfast cakes for her that were delicious. There is a bus that goes into the center of town that stops directly across from the gate of Villa le Terrazze which is convenient if you don’t want to walk down the steep hills and stairs. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to going back again.

It wasn’t a problem for us but there is no elevator and the hotel is on many levels with lots of stairs so it would be hard if you had problems with mobility.

I recently stayed at Villa Le Terrazze Charming Rooms with my partner for a mini break. I cannot rate the hotel highly enough- the communication from the hotel was excellent from the moment we booked, and every member of staff we met was friendly, helpful and check-in was quick and easy. It's in a great location- an hour's drive from Catania airport, 10 minutes from Taormina, and a 15/20 minute walk from Taormina Castle and Chiesa Madonna della Rocca. The hotel is spread out over several floors, and while there's no lift we were offered help several times to carry bags to our room. When we were shown to our room, we were given a quick tour of the pool, sun terrace, and where breakfast would be served. We were also given directions of the short cut to walk into Taormina itself (roughly 10 minute walk away via some steps). The hotel Is absolutely stunning. Everywhere is impeccably clean, recently renovated and everywhere you look were well cared for flowers and plants in terracotta pots, adding charm to what is an already stunning location. Our room was modern, had a huge comfortable bed, a charming balcony with an amazing view of Etna, complimentary water, air conditioning and was perfectly set up for anyone with reduced mobility (grab rails, step-free access shower, adjustable bathroom mirror etc). There were also Ortigia toiletries along with the complementary toothbrushes/vanity set etc. Everything has just been really well thought through. Breakfast is served from 8-10am, and a snack bar from 12-3pm. We didn't use the snack bar, but breakfast had a great continental selection, with several kinds of tea, alternative milks and fresh coffee. The team who run the restaurant are great, very friendly and couldn't do more to help. I had my birthday while I was away, and they made a cake for me on the day, which was absolutely delicious and very thoughtful (pic included).
