Great location, easy walk to the hot springs/lake and a few restaurants, and pretty close to the start of the Mt. Batur hike. The pool is small but lovely and warm (and apparently is hot-spring water?!), and the location allows for some great sunset/sun-rises! There isn't any A/C, but the elevation and generally cooler temperatures means you probably don't need it. We only stayed 1 night, and that was enough

No fridge or kitchenette! If you're doing the sunrise hike, this is disappointing since you can't have a coffee before you leave. If you're not planning on doing the Mt. Batur sunrise hike, note that there will be traffic/traffic noise in the morning, since it's along the road to get there. Note that you cannot do the sunrise hike without a guide (the story we heard was that people did some dangerous things and got hurt, so that's the policy now). We paid a bit more for our tour since it was organized by the hotel manager (he is open about the fact he gets a cut); but it was to include everything, and some people still tried to charge us extra, so be careful of that!

Nice view ti the mountains..big bungalow

Too many bugs and flyes artound .but this is normal for this region..so many vegetable farms arround with bad smell.. the breakfast was one egg..few pieces of fuits..if you want to go for jeep sunrice prepare 50 usd for 5 km.there are hundered jeeps fighting for space..the trip you can do easy by walk or scooter..but the mocal jeep mafia dont allowed you there..all owners of hotels take a part of the same game..this trip for us was robbery

The location is wonderful, with an amazing view to Mount Batur. It's located right at the basis of the mountain, perfect for climbing up in 1.5 hours. The owner helped us with a guide to do the sunrise trekking to Mount Batur. After the trekking we checked in and enjoyed the hot springs for the entire day. We ate breakfast and lunch at the restaurant of the location, and we really enjoyed the food. The products are sourced locally, and the dishes are mainly traditional from Indonesia, which is exactly what we wanted. Both cash and card payments are possible. Overall great value for money, and fully recommend Mapa Lake View Bungalow to other tourists.

There are a lot of flies in the Kintamani area which is not comfortable at times, but keep in mind this is an agricultural area and it's not much that Mapa Lake can do to avoid this.

Family run.... pools warm. As cooler there. Son had his own jeep good price to take us (mother and 2 children 10 n 11) up mt batur, beautiful place ..... highly recommend... we even got an extra mattress for 1 child...

No fridge or kettle in room but they made us fill more then comfortable in using there fridge in reception, and more then happy to make coffee for me of a morning even if we weren't ready to have breakfast yet.

SUCH a lovey family there. It was so peaceful, clean and beautiful property. The manager organised our Mt Batur sunrise hike the day before for a good price. The food in their restaurant was tasty. The pool is warm from the hot springs, it was so nice to come back to after a chilly morning hike up Mt Batur. Wifi works fine. Definitely recommend you stay here when coming to hike. We felt so looked after

Really friendly staff we were greeted with the biggest smiles, lovely meals. The grounds are beautifully presented. The hot spring swimming pool is so relaxing. Owner organised a sunrise tour and lent us a blanket to stay warm for the 430 am pick up The rooms are clean and comfortable. Don't come and expect everything to be spotless they are situated in the middle of farm land. Overall had a great stay

Bed is a little bit hard for my liking but not the end of the world

Stunning location, great view and at a walking distance from the thermal baths : Batur natural hotsprings and Toya Devasya. The owner-manager Mady is very kind and helpful. The the hotel pool (hotsprimg water) is great even in rainy weather. Go for it!

Too many cars and motorbikes on the roads and no sidewalks

Such a nice accomodation with a beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. We had a really nice experience there. The owner of this place was beyond friendly! we felt so welcome and comfortable, he was such a nice person and helped with everything! the warm pool was amazing :) you can enjoy a beer in the pool and relax! the owner organised a jeep sunrise tour for us, which was just wonderful! can highly recommend to book the same tour! appartment was clean and had everything you need. We would come again.

Close to Mount Batur! Got up at 4:00, not earlier, this was great. The hot spring in the resort is great. Every day fresh hot water, no need to pay at other places a lot of money for this. It's included. We could have dinner in front of our bungalows, impressive! Made, the owner organized everything for us. Fair, fast and you can trust him.

Covid was hard for people in this area. You can see that a lot of things have to be renovated. Small things like a lamp or sth., but please do not expect western standard. They do what they can and in 2022, the post Covid year, their business is increasing again.

Excellent bungalows at the bottom of Mount Batur. We woke up early in the morning to start our hike onto Mount Batur (trail starts in front of the house). The owner and his team made our stay very special; Mahdi organized a birthday cake for our daughter (thanks a lot again, Mahdi!). The entire team is very forthcoming and friendly; they take great care of the bungalows, which are clean, spacious and well maintained. Absolutely exceptional hot pool with natural spring water from the volcano and fantastic view of the lake. We loved the place and highly recommend it!
