Loved Candidasa and would certainly return to Segara. Awesome,well kept room and excellent staff. As an 'activities all day, every day' type, my stay was fantastic If you are one of those 'lay around the pool' types, there is a small army of staff waiting to tend to your every whim....downside is pretty steep prices on snacks and drinks- gotta pay for that small army somehow. I only ate there once; the food was excellent but the portion size was super small. Similarly, the minibar could send you broke; 4 bucks for a teeny weeny can of Coke....stop in to the Gemini store across the street and get a week's stock of snacks and drinks for 15.... BTW.... best picks for eating out?? Joglo and Vincent's

The facility is wonderful. It's very understated, which I love.

Since their access to the beach is dangerous and they have not decided to invest in making it better, the deny access to the beach, and they don't tell you prior to booking. I was extremely disappointed. Make sure to check first.

Clean comfortable room. A very nice pool and chairs around the pool. We could get food and drink service there also. The staff was very kind and friendly and met all my needs. Food was great too! I would stay there again.

Having a room with a view.

What a wonderful place! This is an excellent hotel. The room is very spacious and equipped with everything you need. The food in the hotel restaurant is delicious, including breakfast. The view can be estimated from the photos, it's great. The most important thing is the highest level of service. Each employee is as friendly as possible and ready to help. Everyone smiles so contagiously that you smile yourself. Keep in mind that the area is quite calm and if you are looking for parties until the morning, this is not the place. If you, like me, are looking for peace and want to relax, this place is perfect. Thank you very much! I sincerely hope that I will return to this hotel again. With great respect, Yauheni.

The location was excellent, staff were very attentive, our room was large and comfortable. The pool was superb and the food was wonderful. In fact, we felt so much at home that we rarely left the hotel, which is rare for us as we love sightseeing.We have been to Candidasa previously, so we just decided to enjoy the hotel. The Sagara Candidasa really did exceed our expectations.

We had booked an airport transfer and they forgot to send a car. We just arranged another transfer.

This is a superb boutique hotel. Seaside location with small oceanfront infinity pool. Somewhere to relax and retreat after a day of exploring. Good access to sites Eastern Bali. Staff were wonderful. Coffee the best we had in Bali ( though we found out it’s from Java 😅). Rooms comfortable. Food was very good. Happy hour cocktails gorgeous. You can walk out the door onto Candidasa street and there are small shops. Nothing like Ubud.. this is a v small town so still rural and a bit run down but great base to visit other places. We stayed in several hotels Bali this was the best value. 5 star experience .

Unfortunately there is an issue with their sewage I think. Not unique to this hotel but funky smell in room at times . Worryingly our last night we heard bubbling in the toilet then a really strong sulfur smell. We forgot to mention it when leaving so may have been a reason for it. Smell was only occasional in our room. It wouldn’t stop me staying again. Would add not really a family hotel. Our 11 yr old was happy just swimming but pool is small and only a few seats around it. Extra bed added to room was v hard and there wasn’t any room left to move around.

Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful seaview pool and restaurant. Yummy food and love the cocktails!! Super comfy bed and pillows! Will definitely stay here again!

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. The staff was super friendly and always ready to help, making the experience even more enjoyable. The food was quite good, offering a variety of options. One of the highlights was the beautiful swimming pool, which was well-maintained and a great place to relax. Overall, a great place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it!

If you arrive to Padang Bay by boat do not book transfer from the hotel. There is plenty of drivers in the port who can take you to the hotel for half of the price.

No private beach

The pool area right on the ocean is spectacular. Enjoying breakfast on the deck overlooking the ocean was very special every morning and the attentive and kind staff made it incredibly memorable. The rooms are spacious, clean, well designed with crisp linen and fluffy white towels. Almost unique these days in Bali so it was much appreciated! We were upgraded to a premier suite during our stay which was lovely as it had a big bathtub and lots of hot water but we almost preferred the privacy of the standard room as it’s on the first floor with a little balcony whilst the premier room is on ground floor which means all other guests and staff are constantly walking past your room and terrace to get to the pool area. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely return!

The only negative was that the food was a little disappointing. Breakfast offering is massive! So much to choose from but the taste is a little bland and could be improved upon.
