Interesting hotel, as if you were still in the time of the English. The furniture is old but well maintained. Breakfast and dinner are good, but there is a lack of variety of European food. The Indian food is very spicy. The afternoon tea was very good, the teas were excellent anyway.

Getting to Darjeeling is a challenge. The airport is only 68 km away, but the journey takes at least 3 hours, but when we arrived the way to the hotel took 4 and a half hours. The rooms were not heated, only an electric radiator tried to warm up the suite and a bed heater helped with our comfort. The hotel's price is very high and when booking, it does not allow the cancelable or modifiable option, even at a higher price. We booked, paid immediately, and then before our arrival we could have booked the same room for about 35% cheaper. It is true that no one can know in advance whether there will be a room or not, but the fact that you cannot cancel or modify it is not fair.

Beautiful grounds, felt like an oasis. Appreciated that both breakfast and dinner and tea time were included every day and the dining staff was very accommodating, especially for our picky six-year-old eater. Our balcony view was beautiful. There was a game room and library that our kids took full advantage of, and we felt comfortable with them roaming around freely. We could see their joy every day when we would return back to the hotel.

There was construction next to one of our rooms creating a lot of noise. That room itself was updated and beautiful. Our other room had a gorgeous view, but was a little dated inside still very clean and comfortable.

Honestly, there’s nothing I could find to dislike about my stay at Mayfair Darjeeling. 🌟 Every detail, from the stunning property to the impeccable service, was absolutely perfect. It’s rare to come across a place that exceeds expectations in every way, but this one truly does. 💖✨

Good location, friendly staff in restaurant and bar( most overall)./ Barman/manager exceptional, made sure everything was to my satisfaction, great attitude and personable. Thought what I paid was a little high, nice room but was particularly let down that it had no view.

No information pack in room, had to sort everything I wanted to do myself. Staff on reception not particularly helpful. Payment for room wanted upfront, have never come across this concept at home. I’m quite happy to pay if everything is exceptional at this standard of hotel.

Beautiful, well maintained property with excellent service. Our balcony view was spectacular. The kids loved the game room and library and we all loved the grounds. Food was decent and appreciated that the rate included both breakfast and dinner.

The hotel appears like a boutique. It maintained very well. This is a perfect holiday resort.

There is no balcony attached to the room. So there is no view from the hotel rooms. However, there are plenty of open spaces in the lobby from where we can look at the mountains and the Kancheonghanga peak.

The property is very scenic and well maintained. The front gate security personnel is very helpful and so is the reception.

The kids room is just for the sake of it. There are broken toys and empty trays. Also the staff is not attentive at the magnolia restaurant. I have had 3-4 instances where I have asked for something and the staff just forgot or ignored. Once for a coffee, once for water etc. the staff was busy chatting with other staff members.

Location, property, ambiance, and land scaping in the hotel were really good. All the artifacts, beautifully collected from across the world were well kept. The best part was, within walking distance one could see the picturesque view of Kanchanjanga. The Mall is also at the walking distance.

Loved having a fire in the room and hot water bottles. Quality & choice on the buffet was excellent for both dinner and breakfast, great cocktails too. All staff were very helpful, professional and pleasant. Loved our stay.

What an incredible place! All of the rooms are gorgeous, the staff are incredibly polite and helpful, and the facilities couldn't be better. The food options, including the breakfast/dinner buffets and room service, are also fantastic. On top of all of that, the views from the hotel are breathtaking.
