A 10 minute walk to the central park. Close to restaurants and the cathedral of Hermano Pedro. The open space and patios in back are a big plus. There are two private rooms in addition to the dorm rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

It's a hostel. As such its demographic is youthful travellers out to see the world and party. I'm pretty tolerant but when the party comes back to the hostel, loudly, around midnight and no one tries to quiet it down a line has been crossed. Despite this I still give it an 8.

Ended up staying here a total of 8 nights. Loved this hostel! Friendly staff, great showers, decent kitchen, few activities, and great outdoor area. The dorms were very comfortable and clean, and the area of town is reasonable quiet for Antigua. Good wifi, good location, and met friendly travelers there. Finally, the price is hard to beat. They also helped us set up transportation to and from Lake Atitlan, and the airport, for very reasonable rates. Highly recommend.

Dorms can get a little stuffy, only one window and no fan. Kitchen can be crowded and burners don't get very hot. This is being picky though, the place is great.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful (I don’t think I met a single one who wasn’t at this hostel), soap and hot water in showers, shared kitchen. They sometimes host activities, i.e. they had a volleyball tournement between hostels

Separate prices for top and lower bunks, and on booking.com there is no way to know which you are reserving. We ended up as 3 people in a 6 bed dorm, and all 3 of us were at the top. There are lots of mosquitoes - I was fully covered in bites within 5 minutes of arrival. Bug repellent did the trick, so make sure to bring. Note that the hostel did leave us a zapper in the room, so by night time we had closed the windows and door and gotten rid of the problem in our room.

The hostel is modern, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It has a kitchen that you can use and place to store your food. I stayed at the private room, that was spatious and comfortable. The bathrooms are shared but they are perfectly distributed, very practical and clean. Parking space is available infront of the hostel and there is a private lot close to it (not property of the hostel). The social areas are beautiful, with a pool, garden and sitting places to enjoy and relax. Good internet connection. The hostel has a do not disturb after 10pm policy which was great for people to respect others. The location is good. 5 blocks from the central park.

The rooms are not isolated so you can hear everything around you. So if there is people talking you will hear it.

I had an unpleasant experience of losing my wallet. I was certain that it was stolen from my bag as I had the same bad experience of being robbed earlier in this travel. I was angry that there were no lockers in the room. I called the hostel management and also the police to investigate via security cameras. Police actually never came. The manager came. First he was a bit on the defensive side but after I have openly communicated how important it was for me to have their full support and empathy for my situation; he had changed more positively and provided full support. We watched the cameras together, could not find anything. He has offered me free stay until I sort myself out. After several hours, I had a feeling that I should unload all my backpack once again and check every single corner. And I was shocked to find my wallet in my big backpack. I was quite ashamed and happy at the same time. I immediately informed the manager with my deepest apologies. And he was not angry nor reactive; on the contrary he was happy and relieved. In the overall I was happy with the hostal management about how they managed the whole situation. And the manager promised that they would install lockers.

Too many israelis

We only stayed here for one night but we loved the whole vibe of the place. It has a pool, which is where everyone hangs out by the day. We were getting up at 4am to catch a bus, so we had to be in bed early. We both commented on how quiet the place was and had no trouble sleeping. The place is super clean and the staff are always on hand to help with anything. One of the best hostels we’ve stayed in.

The well equipped kitchen, the cleanliness of everything (bathrooms, living room, tables), the bar closes at 7:00 pm so you have quiet nights perfect to rest. Also, they have 24hours reception so you can do late check-ins. If you turn around the block there are a lot of options of bars and restaurants and it's just 3 blocks away from the center if you want to explore more of the city by foot. Last but not least the vibe of the place is great, quiet at night and friendly staff

Nothing

Very vibrant and well decorated. Has a large back garden with a pool and bar. Locals can buy a day pass to come use the bar and pool as well so it feels like a nice social place to meet other backpackers and locals. The private room is large and comfortable. I was able to arrange the acatenango hike through the hostel. It's a nice short walk into town and is surrounded by amazing bars and cafes but is just far enough from the main square that it's peaceful. Would definitely stay here again. You can actually see Acatenango and Fuego from the backyard. You can even see Fuego erupting. ALSO this was the first hot shower I had had in weeks. I was extremely grateful.

We stayed another night and lost our private room which was fine. We moved into the dorms and the beds were not very comfortable and they squeaked when you rolled over. The bell for backpackers coming in late was right on the wall outside the room so that woke me up twice.

Honestly the greatest hostel I've stayed in. It felt like a hotel! I arrived in the early morning (with the night bus) and lovely Fatima was super welcoming. She lat me stay by the pool and later on there were some DJs playing, so it even became better 🤍 when I finally left the pool to check in, I saw the bed in the dorms is like a small private space and spacious ensuite bathroom, which made it very convenient. The staff was mega friendly and professional, and didn't hesitate to help me with random stuff (menthol cream, drying services to my bikini that refused to dry before the volcano hike, instructions and luggage storage), everything in a great mood and a big smile. Highly recommend 🌈

Maybe the price, but it was good worth for money
