Everyone was nice but the kitchen staff was spectacular. The star of the show in my opinion was Manos, who seemed to be the head waiter. His simple presence uplifted the entire restaurant. His wording, even in a second language, made the atmosphere graceful and you felt provided for without pretention. So much warmth and so professional. The waitress Sofia would pick up crying children (with approval of parents of course) and welcome everyone warmly. The food of course was also good, as well as the rest of the staff. thank you!

Very kind and professional staff, wanting to go the extra leg to offer best service. The facilities are great. Room had a superb view. Apartment was well equipped. We also had a nice private swimming pool. Restaurant serves excellent food and is reasonably priced. Breakfast is also of good quality.

The hotel does not have direct access to the sea. But it however has a very nice private beach (incl beach restaurant) which is easily accessible by car or via the quick shuttle.

We stayed for 6 days at Elounda Gulf Villas and got upgraded to a Junior suite. The suite was beautiful, with a private pool, big smart tv and a lovely view of Elounda. All the staff was super friendly and helpful, we loved the breakfast and the garden too. We also appreciated the local drink and sweets that we found in our room when we arrived. The bedroom and the bathroom have glas walls on the side of the sea which allows you to look at the view at any time, which we really liked. Of course in the morning there is some sunlight in the bedroom despite the blinds, so if you can't sleep with light you better take an eye mask with you as we did.

More maintenance would be needed. There were two pillows, one thicker than the other, an even thinner or softer one would be needed though. Water was not provided on a daily basis.

Great location, stunning hotel with great views from the room as it is on a hill. Great food, staff really friendly, as well at the hotel manager. Their private beach was lovely, the clubcar was a good and easy option for getting round the steep hotel. The spa therapist was lovely and was amazing at massage! The free 25min massage was amazing.

The service was exceptional. Maria from reception was especially welcoming and went above and beyond to help us. The pool and the view from it was amazing. The resort beach was great too. A perfect setting for a family with grown children to enjoy a good time together.

If you prefer not to eat in the hotel restaurant you must take a taxi to get to local restaurants- which were all great. The same when you want to buy groceries. But this was very minor to how much we enjoyed the resort.

We had a very enjoyable holiday at EGV. We stayed in a 2 bed pool villa which was very comfortable, lovely pool. The staff were very warm and helpful, arranging taxis and advising on excursions. The breakfasts were very good, champagne on 3 mornings, and the restaurant staff friendly and efficient. The hotel is on a steep hill so certainly worked off the breakfast by walking back to the villa ( there are golf buggies available if required). The beach club at Plaka was very tranquil and great food served there. Plenty of restaurants within 10-15 minutes taxi ride - €10 taxi to Elounda, €16 to Aghios Nikolaos/Plaka.

We had 4 x bottles of drinking water in the fridge on arrival, but these were never replenished and there is no shop on site so you have to buy from the shop down the steep hill or go to supermarket when returning from restaurants in Elounda or Ag. Nik. We paid a reasonable price for B&B for 1st week in August 2023, however I’ve just looked on Booking.com for next year and price has increased by a WHOPPING 38.23% for the exact same dates, or 45.47% for the equivalent week (Weds-Weds). EGV has recently changed name to ‘EGV by Sandglass’ so perhaps improvements / upgrades are being planned to warrant a higher price point.

Everything! The staff is amazing (Maria is the nicest person ever) The room is very comfortable and clean with amazing facilities The whole site is amazing very friendly for babies and kids with the cool kids club they have. The pool is amazing and the location as well. Will definitely come back

Beautiful villa with huge private pool with an (awesome) view! The room is super spacious, has its own kitchen, Sauna and Gym. Perfect place to relax in Elounda!

We were there pre-season and some things felt like pre-season. A little more focus on the upkeep would be great!

Location was great.

The villa had a serious issue with cleaning. For instance the floor has not been cleaned before and while we were there, despite our demands.

Fantastic buffet breakfast with everything you could want....starting with yoghurt and fruit.....hams and cheeses and fish then a cooked breakfast, pastries , bread jams honey etc........it set you up for the day.
