The location of this hotel right next to the open air market and close to Marienplatz was excellent. It was easy to walk to many points of interest or take a train. The room was spacious compared to other hotels in Germany and the bathroom and shower area had plenty of shelving for personal items. The windows could be opened as needed, however the street below and the various church bells can be noisy. We chose to always close the windows at night which made the room much more quiet. The breakfast was very good, more than one can eat. The staff at the front desk were friendly, kind and helpful with a good command of English. The suggested parking garage is about 4 long blocks away so bringing in your luggage on the first day is complicated. The parking pricing with hotel validation was reasonable. We will not hesitate to stay here again.
The elevator was extremely small fitting two people or one person with luggage at most. I chose to walk the stairs instead but this might be difficult for anyone with ambulatory issues.

Stayed in a single room. The photos provided by the hotel on Booking.com matched the toom exactly. Confortable bed, warm and cosy room. Bathroom was spacious with a very good shower. Soft white towels changed daily. Very clean. Excellent location, a couple of minutes walk to Mariemplatz. and right on the doorstep of the Viktualienmarkt .
A little noisy outside early in the morning, but a small compromise for the location. Just outside deliveries etc. not the hotels fault. A kettle in the room.would have been nice to make a hot drink in the evening. Only so.many Augustiner beers you can have!

This was our second time staying at this property and it won't be the last. The location in the center of the Viktualienmarkt is amazing and the rooms are very comfortable. Some of the softest towels we have ever used in a hotel and very nice beds. It can be a bit loud in the am with the trash trucks and deliveries but with the windows closed it's fairly quiet. It was amazing to be able to eat and drink from all the different vendors and then have the luxury of a clean bathroom back in our room just steps away. Located around the corner from the Marienplatz and the U/S bahn lines and there was always a pleasant and helpful person at the front desk.
If the weather is warm and you have the windows open, the noise from the market might disturb you but we found it fun and exciting to be that close to the action.

Fantastic central location and great value for money overall. Friendly and helpful staff, good sized room and bathroom. Very clean and modern, with nice views of the city. Great sound proofing too, we only heard some noise from the street cleaning machines and church bells but that's what you get for being right in the city centre - it didn't bother us and we slept very well. Big, comfortable bed too. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you're visiting Munich!
Not really a dislike but would suggest having tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Appreciate this isn't common in some European countries but you are catering to an international market and many people would expect this. Tiny lift but think it's the best they could do with the space they have in an old building. It's enough room for two people at a push, or one person and a bag. So when there's a group of people (we were visiting another couple who were staying in the same hotel) we couldn't all fit and had to use the stairs each time.

This is my third time here. Wonderful place and location! I will let you know I am a single traveler so I only got the small room, infact I have had the same room all three times. Not sure how or why. Love the location, you can't get better in Old Town area. Less than five minute walk to train station, the market is right there, outdoor beer garden and some REALLY good food also. Just a perfect area to be in for Munich.
This is nothing to say bad about the place, to let you know I will return to this hotel everytime I come to Munich. My room is facing the side of the building as you come into the lobby. 2nd floor, well with the window open the early morning collections and delivers can be heard, they start around 6ish. Remember this is old town and cobbles so it's just the way it is. Window closed all good. Early riser so this wasn't an issue for me. Like I said not much to knock against the hotel.

The location was great - easy walk to all the sights in the old town with the market right outside. Parking in the recommended garage was close enough but expensive (typical given the location). The bathroom seemed newly renovated, and although the sleeping room was small, the bathroom was spacious with an excellent shower. There is an elevator but only really large enough for two people, or one person and two lots of luggage. This wasn't a problem though - we were glad to have it!
The walls were very thin so we could hear everything in the adjacent room. There was a pedestal fan but no air conditioning. The fan was a bit noisy, but we needed it on all night.

It is so close to the Marionplatz and Viktualienmarkt and many shops/ restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel is delicious. Our room was tiny as expected for a big city. The bathroom was pretty big in comparison, but it was all clean and cozy. There's the smallest elevator on earth that fits one person with one suitcase, or 2 people (see picture) but hey... at least there's that! Great water pressure! There's a great coffee spot a couple doors down. Walkable to all Christmas markets!
Nothing!

Location, Location, Location!!! Heart of old town in quiet quaint beautiful market area. Comfortable stay. Comfortable bedding. Large bathrooms. Quiet! Only 3-5 min walk to Marienplatz. 1-2 min walk to taxi stand and a hop on hop off bus stop to see entire city. Great boutique restaurant in lobby for breakfast and dinner. We were able to store luggage at desk until check in time. We will book again for our next stay in Munich.
Not a complaint: Just keep in mind that the check in time is strictly adhered to. If come off of a red eye international flight perhaps have a change of clothes or things to freshen easily accessible in your luggage, to do so in lobby bathroom.

This hotel is an older hotel but it is kept vey nice. My only complaint is the rooms are very small with no place to really sit. It is also difficult for taxis to find since it is in a pedestrian area. We had a very short walk from where we were dropped off to the hotel so no big deal. It is right in the center of the Victorian Market so at night you can hear the restaurant and beer garden noise. It is extremely close to all attractions in Munich we could walk to everything. It was a perfect stay to see this section of Munich.
Small room with no comfortable seating.

Location excellent on edge of old food market in Munich …. couldn’t have been better! 10 min walk to Marienplatz. Didn’t have breakfast but was served in good bar area.
Communication with reception staff was a little difficult…. had problem with safe deposit box which was never resolved during 4 night stay! Poor internet; struggled to communicate with taxi for pickup to airport on return journey.
