We had a pleasant stay at the accommodation, mainly thanks to the very friendly and helpful staff, who were always willing to assist with kindness and a smile. The location of the property is excellent — close to points of interest yet still quiet. The breakfast was good and satisfying, with fresh ingredients and nice options.

The only downside that affected our experience was the room itself: it was exposed to a lot of sunlight during the day, which caused it to become very hot. Combined with the lack of air conditioning, the room was quite uncomfortable to sleep in at night. The owner kindly provided us with a fan, but unfortunately, it didn’t help much. To be fair, it seemed that the heat was unusually intense for the area — probably a rare occurrence even for the locals and the property owners — so this may not be a frequent issue.

Beautifully presented rooms, dining area etc. V clean. Friendly staff. Rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was very healthy and lots of it. Limited hot food but not an issue. Pension info informs you of church bells - but 6am long dongs and then quiet until 9am! Quiet small village with few eateries but great for access to Forest and surrounding locations. Natural swim lake up the road. Parking and sauna (extra charge) available.

Having access to a floor fan or installing air con in room would be improvement as it was very hot at night. Booking.com need to be clear sauna and gym equipment use is extra payment.

I stayed just one night as a solo traveller in a single room. It was basic, very small, no balcony, but it was clean and served it's purpose. The Wi-Fi- / Internet signal was good. There was no air con so I was relieved it was not too hot otherwise I would have struggled with the heat in such a small room. I think if I stayed again I would ask for a double room. Judith, the host is super friendly, and speaks excellent English. I was able to park my motorcycle directly in front of the hotel but there is also private parking around the rear of the property. The breakfast was excellent and since it was warm, it was possible to sit outside on a large veranda and take in the lovely views of the countryside.

It was great. Accommodation with breakfast. Gluten-free pastries and cereals without contamination for celiacs, lactose-free milk and yogurt. The staff even warned us that we were pouring the wrong milk (with lactose, instead of lactose-free). Accommodation clean. Rooms very well heated. Nice Skulpturenpark nearby.. Hochschwarzwaldcard included in the price of the stay.

Nicely restaurated pension. Clean rooms. Friendly and correct personell. Good breakfast and enough choices. Calm village. On the back of the hotel there are parking places as well. We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Closely enough situated to our different hiking places. Correctly priced.

Bathroom was on the smaller side for the five of us, but doable and equipped with everything you need. The pension is situated near the main village road. Surprisingly a lot more traffic passes, although it is such a small, calm village. But you don't have much hinder of it.

All breakfasts were excellent, our room (appartment) was very big, compfortable and clean and mostly very quiet at all , times . we also appreciate a lot the the kindness and hospitality of Judit , the owner, for making all effort needed to make us satisfied. wealso enjoyed the free parking next to our room.

! Nothing, simply perfect

Very comfortable beds, nice room on the top floor to the street but I was surprised about the good isolation to the street. Also no noise from any neighbors, cleaning staff in the morning or breakfast. Absolutely quiet. I loved the bells from church clinging at 9 in the morning, just a personal preference. I also loved to have sunset from the room. There is a kettle for tea, reading lights and black out curtains to cover the windows. I was surprised to find a hand towel holder next to the basin in toilet, well done(most hotels forget about it nowadays). Also there are towel hangers on the wall. A radiator for drying towels in also there. The ventilator for the toilet has an independent switch from the light which allows to run it separately. The idea of the translucent glass window and door in toilet gives additional light, well thought! Breakfast was very good and with a huge variety. Specially good cold cuts and cheese. The breakfast room is very bright, sun coming in the morning, modern and inviting. The lady serving breakfast was really welcoming and friendly and she gave a great tip for our walking route. We wouldn't have picked that without her. We picked one of the restaurants they recommended in the area and their advice was very accurate. Free parking next to the building. Location close to nature for walking and cycling and some good local eating

I didn't like that the wifi access didn't allow video calls (not WhatsApp neither Skype). I have found this restriction in other hotels, mainly in Austria, and I really hate, living in the year 2022. Do you expect a hotel that gives you less connectivity than your house? I also assumed that the sauna would be included in the price of the room, but it is not. I just would like to have it better communicated by Bookings or the owner, when you do reservations to be able to better compare prices. In this case, the sauna for 2 people 1 use would be 20 euros additional to daily rate. The toilet is very well thought. I just missed a place for the toilet bags in toilet. Maybe something under the basin?

Located in a quiet area, not far from all the Hochschwarzwald attractions. Breakfast was an excellent spread with a great choice of everything! Outdoor balconies to eat, drink or hang out when the weather allows.

There is nothing open in the village in the evening hours, so either eat dinner early or somewhere else.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing! One of the best buffet breakfasts I've ever had. Best scrambled eggs and bacon. The staff is super friendly, the rooms are big and cozy.

Pension Kramer is definitely a hidden gem! The bed and breakfast is completely renovated and beautiful. The beds are so comfortable and the breakfast was great. Everything was fresh and there was lots of variety. Parking was easy (right in front of the gueshouse). Our hostess spoke excellent English and was very nice and helpful in answering questions.
