We enjoyed the modern art everywhere particularly in the breakfast room. The breakfast was copious, generous and excellent. The room was large and comfortable, as were the beds. The shower had hot water and was excellent. The staff were at all times patient and very helpful, particularly Sandra, and we had many useful and pleasant conversations with them. The Hotel was very good value for the price that we paid. In brief, we found our experience in Hotel Hansablick outstanding and its location by the River Spree excellent with a direct S9 train all the way to the airport.

For my first visit to Berlin, I was looking for a hotel in a quiet area and close to Tiergarten as I expected to be walking there. Within my budget up popped Hotel Hansablick … and I’m so glad it did. I could not have made a better choice! A bonus of its location is that you can hop on the S9 S-Bahn train at the airport and it will take you directly to Tiergarten S-Bahn station, which is no more than a five minute walk from the hotel. On arrival I received a very friendly greeting and was soon unpacking in my room, which was spotlessly clean, bright and airy with all the usual creature comforts. I hadn’t booked breakfast in advance, but swiftly rectified that at reception. This proved to be a great move as it was definitely one of the best buffet breakfasts I’ve ever enjoyed. It also has the benefit of it being available from 06:30 should you wish to cram as much sightseeing into each day as possible. The staff are on hand to help you at all times, for example to guide you towards somewhere to eat for dinner. On their recommendation I tried “Mokka” on the first evening, which was a lovely Italian restaurant no more than 15 minutes away. A word of warning, though, is that they don’t take card payments. For the remaining evenings I dined al fresco at the Quelle Biergarten, which is very conveniently situated a few minutes away before you reach the Tiergarten S-Bahn station, and enjoyed a delicious Spargel (Asparagus) salad amongst other things. And they take card payments. The best recommendation I can give Hotel Hansablick is that I would definitely return!

Our experience at Hotel Hansablick was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the staff impressed us with their kindness and professionalism. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and absolutely perfect for a comfortable stay. We had arrived earlier than expected and hoped to check in sooner. The team went above and beyond to accommodate our request, not only allowing an early check-in but also giving us one of the best rooms to rest. This thoughtful gesture made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend Hotel Hansablick to anyone looking for outstanding hospitality and a flawless experience.

Staying at the Hotel Hansablick is something we hope to repeat again one day. It is housed in a beautiful building and the owner has gone to great lengths to decorate it with wonderful pieces of art. It's not just a place to stay it is a literal experience in all the right ways. The staff are wonderful, the service the same. We were absolutely delighted to stay at the Hansablick and will recommend it. Great price, too. What's not to love? Thank you all for making our trip to Berlin so special.

Hansablick is a very cozy place, with genuine atmosphere. The reseption and public areas are as an apartment. Quiet surrounding very near the river Spree. Lots of interesting art! Breakfast had enough alternatives for me as a vegetarian. Staff is just super friendly, and you get to know them all after just a short time. The wooden floors creak a little, which give the right feeling of an older building with interesting history. Very comfortable bed and big, puffy pillows. Next time, I will definately choose Hansablick once again :)

Wifi speed was not impressive, would prefer a bit faster for uploadning photos.

Really enjoyed our stay, there was literally nothing wrong, the staff was lovely, the bed comfy, the room very spacious (almost too much if you can believe it)! It's very easy to commute to the city from the hotel.

Even though everything was good, we always like our breakfast to offer more choices, we got a sweet tooth while traveling so some crepes/pancakes are always welcome for example. Parking is very challenging, even though I wrote a request to reserve a spot, there were none available at our arrival. Not a huge deal but for travelers who do not know, it's worth checking for options.

Location is superb: I came for the Berlin Marathon and could get to the start line by foot. Moreover, there are U-Bahn and S-Banh stations in 5 - 10 minutes from the hotel. There is a straight S-Bahn line from there to the airport, by the way. The breakfast is delicious and has good assortment for any taste. The bed is soft and comfy. The matrimonial bed has 2 separate mattresses and 2 blankets which I find very convenient . And the neighborhood is very tranquil and relaxed: no noise or parties. My room was very spacious. I would say: enormous :) When we moved in, we discovered that the fridge (ini bar) was broken. But the personnel immediately replaced it with a good one. All in all, everything was great! Strongly recommend.

Very nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. The lobby/breakfast area is lovely and feels like you are in your own living room! Sizes and layout of rooms differs greatly (we were in three different rooms). We had easy parking outside in the street and walking distance to public transport and the large park with beer garden. The staff were great, including very helpful in the middle of the night when our son was sick.

This is not about the hotel but a word of caution to anyone taking the car to Berlin: you need to order a sticker for your car for environmental purposes and if you don't know you will be fined. It takes several weeks to get the sticker so when we realized there was nothing we could do. If it is too late for you to order the sticker it may be better to stay at a hotel that is outside the city centre as public transport is great in Berlin.

Very friendly and helpful staff, 24/7. Very clean, large rooms, comfortable beds. Breakfast was great and everything was very affordable including the breakfast and the drinks they offered.

The Wi-fi could definitely be better. No shampoo/conditioner provided which I guess is fine for an affordable 3-star hotel but could still be an improvement. Also had a room on the ground floor with windows facing the street which was not ideal, but they did have curtains that could cover the entire windows so that was at least good.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and suitably equipped. Breakfast is wonderful and the staff are absolutely fantastic, you feel welcome and cared for. The hotel is a short walk away from a busy S-Bahn station with multiple lines, the commute into the city centre is very short. Would definitely come again!

TV reception spotty for some reason. Though it had no negative impact on our stay, the building was built at the turn of the century (I assume) and definitely looks its age.
