Location was good although lot of "shady" people around. Room was clean but no wardrobe and in toilet no toilet brush. B/fast was ok if you stay 1-2 days but then become boring as they ALWAYS give the same. Would be nice if they include little bit of salads, eggs...not just salami and cheese. Coffee is horrible. Stuff was friendly and helpful. Also garage was safe.

b/fast should be better. Cleaning of room should not be just making the bad. And bathroom should have toilet brush.

I had a great stay at this Japanese-style hotel in Marseille. The room and beds were very clean, and the bathroom was also well-maintained. The overall ambiance made me feel like I was in Japan, which was a unique and pleasant experience. Our room had a fantastic view of Notre-Dame de la Garde and Porte d'Aix, which made our stay even more special. Having breakfast included was a great plus, and the hotel's location was excellent—within walking distance of both the train station and the city center. Additionally, the staff were very accommodating, allowing us to store our luggage for a long time before check-in.

I did notice a couple of downsides. There were no slippers in the room, which we are quite used to having in Turkish hotels. Disposable slippers would have been useful. Also, walking back to the hotel late at night, especially from the Vieux Port or Canebière area, felt a bit unsafe due to the presence of some suspicious individuals along the way. For this reason, I would strongly recommend taking a taxi if returning late at night.

My stay at the hotel was excellent in every aspect. The room was very quiet, allowing for complete rest. The mattress was especially comfortable, providing a high-quality sleep. Additionally, there was always hot water available for showers, which greatly added to the overall comfort and experience. It was truly a positive and enjoyable stay.

Unfortunately, the dining experience at the hotel was less satisfactory. The food served did not suit my taste, and as a result, I had to purchase meals elsewhere and eat in my room. This is an aspect worth considering for improvement, in order to complement an otherwise excellent stay.

Good location, within a relatively short walk to Aix-Marseille University, Saint Charles station and the old port. The size of the single small room was comfortable for me, it was neat and functional. The air conditioner was definitely helpful in the hot weather. Very nice automatic bidet in the room and downstairs toilets, which is rare to have at all in budget hotels/inns. Not perfect, but decent sound isolation. Nice to have breakfast without paying extra.

Early check-in only possibly from 2 pm; I ended up leaving my suitcase and exploring the city for much longer. Had to wait a while (10-15 minutes) for the elevator a couple of times in the morning, but mostly it did arrive quickly. My room on the last (7th) floor was becoming hot without air conditioning during the day while I was away, possibly from the roof. The vending machines downstairs seemed to only take coins (not even euro bills).

I had booked this apartment in good faith, but when I arrived at the location, the experience was absolutely unacceptable: • There were already people inside the apartment when I arrived. • I tried to contact the host immediately, but I received no answer for over 30 minutes. • When she finally replied, she was disrespectful and unhelpful. • She sent me some codes to enter the building, but none of them worked. • I was left waiting outside, with no access, no assistance, and no clear communication. I have screenshots and full proof of my attempts to contact the host, as well as the messages she sent. This has caused me real stress, time lost, and unnecessary trouble. This is not just a bad experience — it is a clear failure to deliver the service I paid for. I ask that Booking.com take responsibility and proceed with a full refund as soon as possible. Checkin, staff welcoming were 5 stars. All were so friendly. Location was amazing, just next to the train station which was ideal for us. We didnt get to enjoy it as much as we would have, due to delays of plane and long queues at the taxi.

breakfast was a bit tedious, long queues, being a Japanese hotel and based on their website description, I was meant to believe you would have options of Japanese breakfast as well. Bathroom was a bit tiny, but loved the functions and amenities. We asked the hotel to call us a taxi, but little did we know that he did not accept or wanted to accept card payment, so driver took us for an extra long ride to find a cash point.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from the city Gare, and if you're in the mood, you can also walk from there to some touristic spots like the Vieux Port, Le Panier, etc. The hotel itself is great, good cost-benefit, the room is small but comfortable, and we had a pleasant stay.

- The surroundings of the hotel are not very tourist material, let's say. I wouldn't venture around there at night by myself, it's better to Uber around as that seems safer and it's not very expensive. During the day, it's ok though. - The breakfast room seemed a bit disorganised, there's a queue for coffee, but from there people were just wandering around to get some food, there was no clear indication of a "flow" so people are constantly bumping into each other. The food is not a problem, just the organization of that room.

I stayed for one night, and have a very good impression. The hotel is clean, has per my view quite a pleasant interior. Elevators work fine, on the first floor need to touch the card reader with the room key card to call an elevator. My room was nice, clean, well ventilated. Bathroom equipment worked fine. I found no traveller kit (small toothbrush, soap, toothpaste etc) take care to have some with you, as i usually do. Neither my room had a wardrobe, only a hanger on the wall, may be that depends on the room. Anyway not a problem from my perspective. Never saw before the bathroom made of plactic, but it proved to make no issue at all, i got used in a moment. Specially, i need to say that the staff is professional and very friendly. All my requests were treated with attention, I got all the explanations needed, so the personnel is a remarkable point. Breakfast includes toasts with ham, cheese, mermelade, coffee and juices. For dinner and so on there are quite a lot of cafes/restaurants and on the reception they have a list of such, besides i found (on the other side of the train station, named Ashourya, on Bd National, 3) a great Syrian restaurant, delicios splendid meal for only 31 euros. Hereby i may say, that if i'm to visit the city once more i inclined to choose the Hotel again.

Honestly, i see nothing to write here. All my troubles (expensive taxi, etc) were not related to my stay in Hotel :)

Following a train cancellation we needed a hotel close to the station at short notice. It's about a 10 minute walk from St Charles and at a very good price.

Lack of electrical outlets and light switches at one side of the bed. The welcoming looking bar stocked precisely three wines - and this is France. All the same price by the bottle but by the glass the white was twice the red! The barman admitted this was bizarre. Walking to and from the station with heavy luggage could be a problem because of substantial flight of steps just outside hotel entrance. However, this can be avoided by crossing the road at nearby roundabout and approaching station along steady slope instead.

The room was very nice, quite spacious. I had a view of the Basilica of Notre Dame of la Garde from my window. There was a bidet in the bathroom which was useful. The room was quite clean, the hotel was quite nice. AC worked fine. The location of the hotel was not far away from the main train station which was quite useful when I arrived.

I didn't like the breakfast at the hotel: I expected to have at least the scrambled eggs, however, it was not available. The breakfast was mostly based on processed food, which I didn't like. No salad was available either. Other than breakfast, I have nothing to complain about.
