A beautiful house, very tastefully and sympathetically restored and decorated. Some very nice original architecture too. We were made to feel very welcome and were made to feel like we were very special guests. The house still has a homely vibe as the owners live here too and we loved the reception and breakfast area where you could relax in the peace and quiet with a coffee or a lovely wine from the honesty fridge. A great selection of wines, it looks as if the hosts really know their wines and there are beautiful touches on the walls with temperature controlled wine cases which look like works of art. Breakfast was fantastic too with freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit, meats cheeses and pastries and an unlimited selection of coffee pods. The property is literally 75metres to the Jardin Public which we visited after spending time in the bustling city. We didn’t get a chance to use the lovely pool which also looked like a tranquil spot to spend time. Excellent transport links to anywhere you need to go. We have already committed to come back and really look forward to seeing Jonathan, Laura and Jessica again and we will bring our friends or family. Highly recommend for the personal touch!

A wonderful experience beginning to end. The location was in a quiet neighborhood, yet near everything we needed, with easy street parking. The spacious room was beautifully appointed with every need. The staff was friendly, attentive, and saw to our every need, even available via WhatsApp for questions of the moment. The pool was fabulous! The breakfast was perfect. Heym will always be our first choice in Bordeaux.

This secure building had been beautifully renovated and was in a quiet neighbourhood right next to a glorious public park/garden which we enjoyed walking through every day on our way to the Bordeaux city centre which was only a quick 15 minute walk. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful for the duration of our stay. We would not hesitate to recommend the Maison Heym. Their bathroom products were amazing!

A small fridge in our room would have been great.

The breakfast at this hotel was exceptional, featuring freshly made pain au chocolat, croissants, and raisin croissants that were simply amazing. The pastries were perfectly flaky and delicious, paired wonderfully with freshly squeezed orange juice. It was a delightful way to start the day, and the quality of the breakfast added a special touch to our stay. Highly recommend! They allowed us to leave our luggage at check-out, which showed great flexibility and consideration for our convenience. This gesture made our departure smooth and stress-free, allowing us to enjoy our last moments in the city without the burden of carrying our bags.

The location was so perfect. Quiet and yet less than 5 min walk to excellent tramway system that takes you everywhere in Bordeaux.

Very little. Just had a problem with the plugs in the basins in the bathroom, which didn't hold water.

Lots of room in our suite. Close to a brilliant park. Easy access to the tram line. Good location but a bit of a walk to the busier areas (20 minute). Very quiet area. Very helpful owners.

Breakfast was basic (no cooked food available) had to serve yourself. Lots of stairs if you are not keen on a very small lift.

All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is in a lovely location very close to the Jardin Public and in a quiet street in the heart of Chartrons. The pool was a lovely treat.

We enjoyed the quiet but convenient location near the park and public transportation. The pool was great. The staff was friendly.

There are some stairs at the entrance but it’s manageable. There is an elevator but it’s tiny.

Jessica and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Location is great near tram and the beautiful Jardin du Public is one minute away. Very good breakfast.

Lovely rooms and style

We really enjoyed our stay; Maison Heym is a guesthouse and so some may find it a little quiet vs. a hotel in terms of atmosphere but for us it was perfect.
