We really liked the central location; very convenient for local cafes, and just a pleasant short stroll into the historic town with its, places of interest, museums and shopping. The hotel interior we found shabby chic, and functional. We particularly enjoyed views from the upper floor rooms at the front overlooking the square Our requests and enquiries were dealt with in a kind and helpful manner by Michel despite nous parlons peu Francais!
There were no aspects of our stay that we considered to be below par ; it is worth pointing out that whilst there is no lift at the hotel, front desk staff were very helpful in arranging for luggage to be take to our room

I stayed at Le Déclic Hôtel in Bayeux with my son during the D-Day commemorations, and our time there was nothing short of wonderful. The hotel is elegant without being fussy—modern, thoughtfully decorated, and genuinely inviting. Everything was spotlessly clean, from the lobby to the lounge to our room. And oh, the bed—so comfortable I briefly considered skipping the commemorations to stay tucked under the covers with a book. After long days of walking, biking, and sightseeing, it was the perfect place to recharge. We especially loved the coffee and hot chocolate, both rich and delicious (the hot chocolate alone is worth coming back for). One small regret: we didn’t try the breakfast, which looked absolutely delicious every morning. Don’t make our mistake—go for it. A huge thank-you to Michel and Miquel, who were endlessly kind and patient with my clumsy French and offbeat requests—whether it was finding rags or helping us store and care for our bikes. Their warmth and helpfulness made the experience feel personal and memorable. Le Déclic is a perfect launchpad for exploring Normandy, whether you're on foot, on two wheels, or behind the wheel. Stylish, comfortable, and full of heart—it’s the kind of place that lingers in your memory long after you’ve checked out.

We spent two nights at this hotel, and I honestly couldn’t recommend it more. The interior is decorated with a unique and artistic eye—you’ll keep discovering charming little design details everywhere you look. There’s also a small, lovely back terrace where we enjoyed our breakfast surrounded by flowers. Our room was exceptionally clean and tidy, and everything worked perfectly. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The location of the hotel is simply perfect. But what truly sets this place apart isn’t just the beautiful space or the practical amenities—it’s the warmth, thoughtfulness, and genuine hospitality of the owners. It’s clear that they run their boutique hotel with love and care, doing everything they can to make guests feel welcome and at home. Their passion is evident in every little detail. I will definitely be coming back. Five stars! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really liked the location. Had a great bar right next door. The area was quiet but was very close to the downtown business area with many cafes, etc. The owner/manager was terrific. One of us has a gluten allergy and he went to a store to purchase some gluten-free items for breakfast! He was always available for any issues/questions.
Like many hotels in Europe, there was no air conditioning. Fortunately we were in weather where we could just open the window and stay comfortable. But of course, in a heat wave it would have been a bit difficult.

The owner is very friendly. I had come on Christmas when every shop was closed. He arranged an electric cycle for me to tour the Doom's Day beaches and also gave me tips for food. Without his support, it would have been impossible for me to tour the city during the holidays. The rooms are comfortable and provide for necessities. As everyone would generally be touring the city during the day, the room is perfect for a good night's sleep later. It's close by from the train station (20 min walk) and makes it right on spot for good morning/evening walks to the train station in case you're checking in/out early morning/late evening.
Drinking water could've been more accessible

The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Our breakfast was great. The freshest selection of pastries, with Norman cheeses, jams and wonderful honey. There are many other things but the pastries alone are worth it. However, the true gem is the owners. We've never met such kind, friendly, fun, welcoming and helpful people. Our tour of Omaha Beach was canceled and Michel went out of his way to salvage our trip. He found a taxi, got us a round trip there and back for a good price and saved the day because we ended up having a special morning at the beach and cemetery. I'd truly recommend this hotel to everyone!

The hotel location was very convenient and the room was beautifully appointed. The beds (my room actually had three!) were comfortable and the bathroom was very nice. Everything was spotlessly clean. Although my French-language skills are very poor, the very friendly lady at reception did her best to communicate with me and gave me a lot of information about the area and the attractions in the neighborhood — she was very patient with me and proved to be extremely helpful.
I was surprised to find that there was no running water during the middle of the night. I'm not sure if that was specific to the hotel or to the neighborhood, and maybe it was mentioned somewhere and I missed it, but I am a night owl, so it was a little bit shocking not to be able to wash after midnight. Once I realized it was not a onetime thing, I was able to prepare for it the next night. Other than that, I had a wonderful stay and recommend the hotel highly.

The location was excellent. Loved staying in the heart of the village in an historic building. The village center is wonderfully quiet at night for a walk. Restaurants, boulangerie and brasserie all within a block of the hotel. Wonderful weekend market on the square. Free parking a block away. Breakfast was great. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were nicely done. And best of all the hosts were especially friendly, caring and accommodating!

We stayed while visiting the beaches of Normandy. Its a nice little town, the staff were very friendly, very helpful with knowing where things were in the town i.e. where to eat, where to shop etc
Guests just need to know there is only a narrow stairwell to access the rooms. Certainly not a deal breaker, but if travelling with family with accessibility issues something to be aware of.

We booked this hotel for its location close to the centre of Bayeux, which was great. There was plenty of overnight parking available in the square. The staff were very friendly and pointed out to us the son et lumiere event happening at the cathedral that night.
The room itself was pretty small, squeezed into an old building without much character. The sound proofing between rooms was poor.
