Usual hilton quality in terms of room size, amenities, bed, furniture etc. Nothing to say bad. Breakfast was relatively standard. Other guests were relatively quiet and respectful. Thus, a good night sleep..

price. on booking.com it was more expensive to get a queen room than a superior king room as a member of hihonors club. which does not make much sense. I wanted to cancel and rebook but it was a bit late. Gym was very very small. And A/C was not on/working, which made it also a sauna at the same time..Some fixtures in the room did not work that well..drainage for instance. but minor overall.

Staff were all pleasant. room was cleaned to a good quality every day. the food was of a good quality. the welcome at the reception is very good, keep on the free cookies! the presentation of the lobby and restaurant is kept to a high standard.

The food takes quite a while to come out. unknown whether i'm paying service charge, I have had 4 meals in there, 2 have service charge, 2 don't, all were I was sat in the bar area. there are times towards the end of the week where a lot of items are missing from the kitchen, on Wednesday 10th it was easier for the staff to tell customers what they had rather than everything they didn't have.

Excellent location, close to Southampton university, easy access to town and to other local sights, e.g. Winchester, big rooms, comfy renovated bathrooms, OK breakfast, quiet, comfy bed. Coffee and tea provided in room everyday. Good parking.

Room management a bit of a mess, one day they would take our towels (that we have placed in the tub) but forget to bring new ones in, other times they would change half of them, etc. In the mornings, occasionally, there was not enough hot water. The phone was disconnected and dirty. No mini fridge which is odd. Some furniture was tired. Management could spend some time to tidy up details which, although not "important", give out the wrong feeling: eg. a) a duct tape holding the back of the battery compartment in the safe (dodgy) and b) an outlet box hanging loose in the entrance.

Ema was exceptional. She had such a bubbly personality that made you feel at home and at ease there, she did it with love. She was such a sweetie pie. The room was lovely and quiet and the only real complaint I had there was the bed was squeaky, but I slept the entire night and if I were traveling alone without my husband I would certainly feel safe there. In the morning when we woke up and looked out, we looked out into a forest. It was so peaceful and calming. We were there just for the night so we could take a cruise. I would definitely stay there again. And when we checked in they gave us cookies and a bottle of water. I had the gluten free one because of food allergies and it was amazing! I would definitely eat those again

The only thing I can think of was that the bed squeaked when you moved but I slept well. I think my husband found it more difficult than I did, because he moves around a lot

Staff friendly and efficient throughout, on arrival lovely greeting though we arrived really late. Breakfast was great and the toaster on the perfect setting! Didn’t have to thread the toast through twice causing it to burn. No fat yogurts for breakfast also ticked the box! Bed comfy and bed linen lovely and crisp, nice fluffy towels.

The room was extremely comfortable and nicely refurbished (as was the whole of the hotel.) The room was spacious and there was a good selection of beers and wines in the bar lounge to kick start our holiday, even though we arrived at 9.30pm.

I would like to have communicated directly with the hotel re dinner timings and to inform them of a late check in but was directed to a US and had to wait for 20 mins to be connected.

Liked the proximity to the motorway, lovely green surrounding the hotel. Love that they're happy to have dogs. They also had some gluten free food upon request, which was ideal.

Our bathroom could have been better maintained. It appeared to be a wheelchair accessible one and the layout was therefore geared for that I.E lowered sink etc. However I felt that the general cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. We let housekeeping know but we were checking out on that date so did not follow up

Size of room, location, parking. Breakfast was decent. Temperature was good. Big bathroom (with tub). In the green, you cannot hear the highway which is close.

A bit chaotic management of towel changing - one day we left a couple in the tub after two days of use, they simply took them but did not replace, we had to call reception at 7.00pm. It happened twice. No mini fridge in the room which was odd. Window did not close 100%. Some furniture is tired.

Lovely room. Comfy bed. Mostly good breakfast. Excellent staff in the bar and also added mineable To my pizza even though not an option in the menu.

Couldn’t get hot water in the morning at peak time. Apple juice at breakfast tasted horrible - concentrate wasn’t mixed right and was mostly water with a taste of apple juices Some mushrooms with breakfast would have been good.

The bathroom was clean and the provision of bathing liquids made it convenient. The bed was comfortable and the conditioning system was working fine. The reception and dining areas were beautiful and good for taking pictures. In terms of breakfast, the food was well prepared and there was plenty of parking space too.

My room didn`t have a bar fridge, it was quite annoying when I realized that. Luckily it was still winter when I went, had it been summer I would have gone straight to the reception and requested a change. Now that summer is upon us. as a traveller just make sure your room has a functional bar fridge and the air conditioning system is working.
