The condition, cleanliness of the hotel were all excellent, The location of the hotel was ideal as it stands alone at the quieter end of town on the harbour. The size and capacity of the hotel meant that it was not over crowded The breakfast food was extremely good quality with plenty of choice The room was specious with good air con and the bedroom fixtures and fittings all seemed fairly new and were all in excellent order. All of the staff at the hotel were very polite and friendly

Air con in the room was a little loud The size of the pool was small and did not have many sunbeds so we never got the chance to use. All beaches were very narrow and very over crowded at this time of year.

The Hotel was fantastic, the rooms very spacious as were the bathrooms. Very tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of hot and cold to choose from. What put this hotel in the next level was the staff, they were all so friendly, willing to assist and Renata was an absolute standout at reception,she even helped in reversing our car out of a tight carspot and did it with such a lovely demeanour and willingness to help. We also found the hotels location perfect as the beach is literally steps away, an awesome walking track can be found also just steps away that leads to an amazing natural reserve. The hotels restaurant was lovely we dined there on 3 occasions both lunch and dinner and rate the food and service as excellent.

If we had to pick one thing we didn’t particularly like …. We found the bed a little to firm for our liking but this may suit people who prefer a harder mattress.

Well, the location is not bad, but then most of rooms are located "backwards". The place is kept nice and tidy. Even the house keeper was bumping in twice trying to clean the room on the departure date.... rather early.

We booked one of the rooms with sea view towards town and the harbour, no balcony... but did not get that. Instead 2 pool view rooms with very very limited sea view. The other was the tv channels..... croatian and german only. Did not like that. The coffee at breakfast was un-drinkable, and there were no vegetables on the buffet.

View was limited because it was on the backside, swimming pool. Location was very nice. It allowed to visit many places on foot.

We had a confrontation upon arrival with a lady at the reception desk. The reason was that my friend, who has a serious knee injury asked for a shower different to the one in his bathroom, which was a bathtub. The receptionist had only a categorically NO. What upset my friend for good reasons. We finally obtained what my friend needed, but he told the lady; in her business there doesn't exist the word NO nor Not Possible.

The hotel is very well positioned, close to the beachfront/port, close to the beach, close to the restaurants, close to the center, clean, service was almost impecable, very well lit and great breakfast. One small con: they only have 8 parking sports outside and even though parking is “free”, inside it’s 10€/day. This was not mentioned prior to booking.

Good location in Makarska- close to the town but just far enough away to avoid the crowds. The room was quiet and well appointed. Very clean, good AC. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, and the staff was friendly.

The pool is nice but a bit on the small side and was crowded when we got down there. But we did find a place to sit and the water was nice. They have a large ferris wheel set up in part of the parking lot for the summer so that complicated the parking just a bit.

Fantastic location, view was amazing. Breakfast was very varied and plentiful. We ate in the hotel restaurant which was lovely. Decor was fabulous.

No shower in the bathroom, just a hand held one in the bath. The dial for closing the bath plug was broken , we didn’t work out how to close the plug therefore and could use the bath tub, so had to kneel down in the bath to use the small shower. Difficult not to get water everywhere and not very comfortable.

The hotel was in a prime spot right on the edge of the harbour. We were in a top floor room and the view from the window was amazing! The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very modern with a frosted glass door. Unfortunately we were hit with a huge hours-long thunderstorm which curtailed our planned beach trip and exploration of the town. Breakfast in the morning was rather chaotic as the outside breakfast area with the wonderful view was out of bounds (as I was told in a rather harsh way by one of the two lady wait staff when I tried to go outside). We then had to find our own way to a space on a large circular table which looked more suitable for use in a wedding venue. And then had to find our own cutlery and work out how to access breakfast. Maybe they were just having a bad day but it didn't make you feel like a valued guest. Ah well!

Breakfast experience.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Our room had a wonderful view of the harbour and a wonderful view of the beach to the side of the hotel. The staff are wonderful, special mention to the lovely cleaning ladies, the reception staff (especially Renata), the happy and friendly breakfast staff, the chefs who make wonderful omlettes and the lovely waiter at lunchtime in the restaurant (the salads are so tasty). It is easy to walk round the harbour and up to the old town where there are many lovely restaurants (the hotel will recommend). We took the catamaran to Bol one day and went to the Golden Horn beach. We were given a kettle to use in the room. The hotel is not too big and very clean. We didn't use the pool as loved swimming in the sea. Would highly recommend.

We would have liked a shower, although the bath did have a spray. You can on some nights hear some music from the club on the beach from 11.00pm to 3.00 am but we had read this and took good earplugs so it didn't bother us. Likewise, there are sometimes loud party boats in the harbour but didn't mind, nice to hear people having fun. Would recommend the hotel

Our family had a wonderful stay at Hotel Osejava. It's location is exceptional. A short stroll into town and views across the harbour. The staff are friendly and helpful, waitrons charming. The breakfast restaurant location is very pleasing, and the outdoor dinner terrace is beautiful. Good value for money. I highly recommend Hotel Osejava.

Not the hotel's fault, but the rowdy Sail-week Croatia crews are quite noisy when berthed in the Harbour.
