This is a gem of a hotel. The location is fantastic, right in front of a beach that is almost private to the hotel, and within a few minutes of Playa Hermosa and Playas del Coco. The property is adorned by beautiful, well-kept gardens and trees, where monkeys and birds can be seen and heard, and is marked by a large and beautiful pool. The rooms are spacious, luxurious suites, with a great bed and large, elegant bathroom and shower. The breakfast was great. And, most important of all, the staff members were always extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, this hotel is a majestic, quiet and peaceful place, a wonderful haven for a restful vacation.

the staff were absolutely incredible, Daniela and Jazmín were the best receptionists ever, and helped with literally anytjung we wanted and felt so so so at home! it was truly an amazing experience. Mauricio and Elvis the drivers would take us anywhere and add stops along the way if we needed to go to the shop and we're very friendly. overall 10/10 experience

This is a gem of a property. The people were unbelievably nice and very helpful. Pool area is delightful except the chairs are so uncomfortable. The grounds around the hotel were amazingly beautiful and the howler monkeys and other wildlife were great.

The beach is definitely not the best part of this resort. You probably want to walk over to one of the other beaches. The chairs around the pool (and near the beach) were very uncomfortable. If you don't have a car, this hotel is very isolated.

We loved the well-tended tropical gardens, which helped attract wonderful birds and butterflies. The property had preserved huge old trees with respect, also a wonderful path for the glorious howler monkeys! The beach and pool were in front, and the view from the restaurant. I had a first class facial by a talented masseuse, swiftly arranged by gracious reception personnel. The food was good, and breakfasts exceptional for the usual included ones. Rooms were lovely, spotless, with good mattresses. Lots of places to be outdoors. Low-key, not glitzy nor pretentious. They have their priorities right.

The long beach is used by local families having great fun, but there is some litter which we wish had not been possibly endangering wildlife.

It was tranquil, excellent location, picturesque beach right on your door step. Nice spacious rooms Excellent staff that were very attentive and would do anything to make our stay more comfortable. Staff extremely friendly, quiet and beautiful property - though the beach is not good and the pool needs to be cleaned at least twice a day. Rooms are exactly as pictured.

Pool needed to be cleaned more often, beach is not great, and restaurant food while decent isn't very varied.

The stuff was really friendly, Esther and nazira were really nice, attentive, and always so polite and helpful, always remembering your name. Loved to sit by the quit and relaxed pool side as this is an Adult friendly hotel, You don't get the running around from kids. and the beach front area is really cool with the hammocks and firepits. Good food at restaurant .

There's a club or a party boat nearby that it gets a bit loud late at night, surprised is allowed. I would be nice for the restaurant to have some local items on the menu. Not just the Gallo pinto in the morning, maybe some casados or chifrijos type food for lunch but what is avaliable is good food.

The staff are terrific. The pool is great. View of beach and bay is very nice. The beach area directly in front of the hotel is not swimmable due to rocks and sea urchins. One needs to walk down the beach for at least 5 to 10 minutes. Great beach for walking. AC in the room was excellent. Housekeeping terrific. Tiles in the shower are slippery -- and hence pose a danger. Grounds are kept very well. Restaurant serves a great breakfast and other meals. Happy hour offers good drinks.

There is nothing to do here but read, relax, walk on the beach -- perfectly fine for a while but for a longer stay one needs more things to do. If you have a car you're okay. Without a car it's difficult. No tuck shop or variety store.

The hotel is blessed with amazing stuff who genuinely is doing everything above and beyond for the clients. I had an accident stepping on a sea urchin (do NOT go in the ocean without the swimming shoes) and Argery with Philippe (hotel manager) both spent half a day with me calling ambulance / brining to the hospital / getting me wheelchair and etc. I was lucky that the incident happened when Argery was at reception as she is a superstar! Throughout the scary experience she remained very professional, calm and extremely supportive trying to find solutions and ease the pain (while we didn’t have a wheelchair she was rolling me in Philippe’s office chair across the hotel!!! As I was not allowed to walk). Argery made me feel much safer and I knew she would do everything to help - so many many thanks once again! Now to the hotel: it has nice shady territory, spacious quiet room, direct access to the beach.

Food is a little limited as it’s not a buffet which makes it difficult to get what you need for breakfast (same issue in Monteverde Ficus as it’s part of the sane brand).

Staff brilliant, breakfast very good. Facilities first class. Pool and hotel grounds are excellent. Rooms are very spacious and bright. We were entertained by a family of howler monkeys that would come into the trees around the pool and feed on the mangoes. It's better than any national park. Plus, we have seen an armadillo and an exceptionally large iguana in the grounds. If you want isolation and a quiet break, this is the place to stay. Restaurant food very good, just the menu is a little limited. The hotel is a little isolated, and you would need a car to get around.
