The room was exactly like the pictures. It was clean, didn't smell, felt very new and house keeping would disinfect the room when they came to clean it. Located within the TIT creative zone. It's a nice little place with some cute cafes and food places. Give them a go. It also is located in the city centre so if you are there for the Canton Fair it is very easy to get to. We had a mishap at 10 pm at night which resulted in a blocked sink. Rang reception, they came up and sorted the plumbing out immediately and cleaned the room after. The staff that came up to help were very friendly, relaxed and made us laugh. Unfortunately we didn't get to the breakfast, as we would be dragged out to have breakfast with my relatives. Staff noticed this and would bring fruits up to our room, they told us this before we left as they felt bad we didn't make use of their breakfast buffet that came with the room. However we did smell it every morning we came out and I'm sure it was tasty. We will make an effort to try it next year. This is the place to stay at if you want great service and a nice place to stay.

It was an excellent stay. Special thanks to Timmy, the hotel manager, who was extremely kind, always attentive to our needs and beyond, proactive, and incredibly quick to respond to any request. If I had to rate him, it would be 100/10. The food was varied and delicious, offering noodles, rice, eggs, dumplings, American breakfast, and more, all served according to the established schedule. The room was very spacious, impeccably clean, and had everything we needed. We always had fresh water and fruit available, which was a very thoughtful touch. Additionally, the location was perfect, with a shopping mall and a metro station just a short walk away. We visited during the Canton Fair, and the hotel’s shuttle bus service was excellent, taking us to the fair and picking us up afterward without any issues.

Location of hotel apartment is excellent. Situated near Kecun metro station (less than 10min walk) from hotel. This Line 3 metro is one stop from Canton Tower station. We booked an apartment unit. It was large, with 3 ensuite bedrooms + a common WC downstairs. Breakfast was very decent and we were well fed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The apartment will accommodate 6 couples comfortably. It has a large living room with 3 sets of long sofas. Heating during winter was good. Nice warm apartment.

The bathroom shower in one of the rooms leaked through the glass enclosure and we needed to mop the floor dry after showers. Not a big matter. Downstairs bathroom had a slight sewage smell. (But bathroom was well ventilated with an exhaust fan.)

We really liked our stay at Fangyuan, the staff were very friendly and we were surprised about the variety of breakfast items. There were European options but also many Chinese ones including vegetarian options. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and you're very close to the Canton tower as well as the metro. There are many luxurious hotels in Guangzhong but if youre looking for something that has everything you need at a food price and quality, this is it. Would come here again!

The only thing we thought was a bit uncomfortable was that the toilet wasn't clearly separated of the bedroom and didn't have a real wall, but this was only minor

Great location - close to shopping, heaps of food places, underground. Huge room (apartment) excellent bathroom with a bath even! - Although no hand basin as such! Good air con, you may need to ask for a frig to be put in your room. Not really a suitable desk to work at. Bed huge and classic China hard, but very comfortable. If your wanting something different to a hotel with a bit of local feel, this is it. Its part of a refurbished zone from the 70's with mature trees and beautiful gardens. Paved roadways and art/murals around the precinct with lots of story boards ( download a translation app) Safe and secure, it was an enjoyable walk around in the mornings. Breakfast is good, but that's the only meal available, you need to pop out to one the dozens of local eateries just up the road. Secure 24hr banking close to draw down cash. I'll be back next year to stay for sure.

surprised to find no frig in my room. When I queried, it arrived 5minutes later. Hand washing/teeth brushing awesome - but there still could have been a basin and vanity ( for instance if my wife was with me). Mossie's - just make sure in the hot wet season, you have some repellant with you.

Our time spent at Fangyuan Hotel was great, especially I have to praise Mr. Timmy who took great care of us all the time! The other staff were also very nice and helpful. The cleanliness of the hotel was also top notch! You can easily communicate in English here. The location of the hotel is also great, everything you need is close to the hotel - restaurants, shops, ATMs and also a short distance from the Canton tower. Half Chinese, half continental breakfast, I think everyone will choose something. Wifi also works without problems.

Some of the hotel's equipment is a bit older, probably has something behind it, but everything worked. The only thing I missed here was an espresso machine. :)

1. The 3 BR apartment style which did not offer by other hotel and daily room cleaning services 2. Friendliness of the staffs which offer lots food during breakfast time and help us to order the food delivery for supper. Ms Rice also help us to call a local restaurant which need advance booking for dinner. The housekeeping staff is still come with smile face even we ask her to come over to open the room door (accidentally locked by us )twice within 5 mins. 3. Delicious breakfast on every morning during our stay

There still mosquitoes inside the room even the electric mosquito repellent is on.

The hotel is quite conveniently located near the Guangzhou Tower, i.e. not far from the center, it's possible even to walk to the waterfront, but we used the subway and taxi. Subway Kecun station 7 minuets by walk, it's direct line to the airport. We had delicious, varied breakfasts, which is rare in China. We have upgraded our room for big size: thank very much to Timmy. Lee helped us a lot to help us to book night cruise on Pearl River and also she helped us to order dinner at the 1 st night (because we came late and hadn't time to go somewhere to eat). So we can recommend this hotel for everyone!

I got a free upgrade for a king room. It was very big. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large. Very stylish furniture and accessories. Big balcony. AC. Hot water. Premium toiletries. Buffet breakfast was nice. Close to Canton tower and train station. Staff was amazing. Very helpful. Booked cabs for me everyday. Helped me with currency exchange. Timmy and Lee are very generous and helpful.

No onsite restaurant. No restaurant nearby. No shops nearby.

The location and facilities were great. The hotel was so close to the metro station, the department stores and street food. The room was simple but it has everything you need. I don't see the need for a fridge as I ate out and the potion is sufficient for me thus no left over. The breakfast was great. Everyday I stayed, there were different meals on offer. The hotel graciously allowed me to check in earlier, so I could have a rest.
