Good location, very central place

Breakfast was a chaos, the lady could not manage the people. There were many empty, prepared tables and a long queue for no reason. It took us 10 minute to get seated in a half empty restaurant...

The Hilton hotel was in the perfect location. The rooms were big and comfortable and clean. We used the pool which was heated and not busy at the time. There is a food court in the basement of the mall and we had breakfast there.

I got too many emails from booking.com and the hotel both leading up to the stay and after. About the works outside, which was useful information but some of the dates were old, not relating with our stay. Someone should review the comms. I think I got overall about 12 emails about this stay. One minor thing was that the pillows while pretty, are massive and rather thick and not really comfortable if you are of a small build. I asked at reception for a smaller pillow, which to everyone's credit, came in a timely way, but it was the same large pillow type which was still not quite comfortable. Just a suggestion to purchase different types of pillows for guests with various needs.

The room was nice, modern, clean and spacious. Comfy bed and a couch with a large open closet area for clothes. Location was great and it has a pool table, pool and sauna. Breakfast was included and it was sufficient (although lacking on gluten free options - they did have gf bread though).

Staff were not very friendly and I was shocked to find out the laundry service doesn't run on weekends! This makes no sense when it's a hotel with guests coming and going everyday of the week. The price for the laundry service was also extortionate. TV channels were very basic and no movies included.

Overall, we had a really nice stay! The staff was lovely, super friendly, and helpful. They gave us a hand with our bags and even arranged a taxi for us, which was much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, and the location is great for getting around. That said, a few small things stood out. For a 4-star hotel, I was a bit surprised to find paper cups in the room for coffee. We also wanted to have dinner at the hotel restaurant, but there weren’t many kid-friendly options, mostly just McCheese. The pool felt a little crowded for my taste, though kids would probably love the energy. Despite those little things, we felt well taken care of, and we had a pleasant experience:)

Great location, clean functional room, very helpful staff

The first room they gave us had beds that had not been made. The receptionist apologized and immediately gave us a new room

Second room was bright and comfortable for a week work stay, with good bed & actually useful furnishings (first room wasn’t what I booked but you comped breakfast to make up for it). Decent pool, great terrace, bar/restaurant and food (even in room coffee was fine), nice staff - and all problem-solvers, esp reception. Actually, I think the best hotel staff I’ve experienced in Montreal since Covid, and am back every year.

SUPER slow elevator system, ugly lobby and poor street access, pool attendants late every day so access was reduced on work days (website says 7am, which would be better). Had to get new key card 3x because it died. Lot of guests were noisy and/or rude. Heads up to prospective guests - I knew what I was getting into for noise but Place des Arts is LOUD. Ask for a room in back if it will be an issue.

The location is exceptional ! In the "quartiers des arts" on Saint Catherine street and above a mall with a food court. There are shops, restaurant, you can hang out and chill nearby and not far from Chinatown. Everything is one or two block away : 10 min max walking.

The pool is cold and the employees are still on strike so the restaurant of the hotel is closed, no bar, no valet. All the services are not available. The manager (a lady) at the lobby and a man at the valet parking very helpful and nice. Thank you

At the day of checking out, there was a very loud drilling noise which started around 8-8:30 am. This woke up our children with fear and that was a really bad decision to make. loud noise very early in the morning?! When reported this at the reception when checking out, I was expecting a better response form the staff there. They should know how to absorb the costumers frustration which should be one of the main qualities for a staff working in the front desk. The other bad experience was about accessing paid TV content. It was without restriction. Kids could have just entered any movie and purchased it without parent consent/confirmation.

The staff was very friendly, the view was amazing and the rooms were very clean and comfortable!

There was a lot of noise from the hall and the adjacent communicating room at times. Particularly the room doors tend to make a lot of noise when they slam shut. There was a fire alarm at 11pm and when we tried to leave as requested, we were unable to leave the floor because the stairs were blocked by people and the evacuation was completely stalled.

I loved the breakfast, there was a lot of options to choose from. My daughter loved the welcome cookies. The bathroom and rooms had all the amenities and necessities needed. The beds were so soft and comfy. My kids slept so peacefully. The location was central and easy to access other locations. I loved the fact that the hotel was connected to a huge underground mall and also easy access to the metro. Overall,it was a wonderful experience.
