Beautiful view of the cove right outside our cottage. Watched the otters play, plus we saw a mink. It was comfortable and warm enough, and besides not having an oven, the kitchen was equipped well enough. Wifi worked fine. Inside was clean.

It’s not private. It’s not a stand-alone cabin. They are woodsy duplexes, and there’s little room between them. And being a duplex, means there’s someone in the same building right next to you: We dealt with noisy neighbours who smoked just an arm’s length away. It made the outdoor deck experience unenjoyable, as only a rope separated us. We could hear them inside through the walls, too, late into the wee hours. Finally, a dirty pair of surgical gloves (the cleaning crew’s?) were left on our friend’s car in parking area right outside the accommodations.

We loved our stay at one of the Wild Renfrew Seaside Cottages! The coziest and warmest space, adorable wooden walls, furniture and fireplace (electric, but still cozy, functional and great, no worries about buying firewood). The kitchen has everything you may need. Good qualities. Well equipped as well regarding linen and towels, with extra of everything. Bathroom includes shampoo, shower soap and conditioner (all of them smell so good!). Lovely customer service, easy, kind and quick to communicate and interact with, both online and in person. Very detailed instructions manual, covering all kind of info: from hours of operation of close-by businesses, to how everything works, and even safety tips about to how to interact with wildlife. We had a great time, thank you for everything!

We had to come back to real life after 3 lovely nights at Wild Renfrew Seaside Cottages.

The setting was beautiful, especially the view from our unit. The private hot tub and the firepit were a bonus. The room was very comfortable

The kitchen amenities were very limited, definitely a room just for two. The full height glass wall separating the bathroom. to the main room was a bit annoying, it offered no privacy in the shower. There were no instructions on lighting the outdoor firepit, but a phone call to the office sorted it out for us But overall still a beautiful place to relax

The remote location, rugged beach views, spacious cottage with fireplace and deck - all amazing! We saw a lot of wildlife and birdlife right from the cottage. Port Renfrew is a special place. Would go back and stay again!

It is quite expensive but we put this down to the fact that the property is in a remote location and a very special place! We did ask the staff if they could come and look at a cleaning issue we found but they never showed up.

My room was on the second floor and had ocean views. It was a corner suite and had a huge patio looking out onto the water with a hot tub and fire pit. While the neighbors were a little close, for the most part, we could not see them and they could not see us. From our patio, we saw otters, seals and sea lions. The room was easy to access from the wharf and from the main pathway by the cottages.

I would have loved if there was a cooking hot plate or barbecue in my unit as I saw in some other units. There was a toaster and a fridge but it would have been nice to have even a mini stove to cook some of my meals myself as options were limited in Port Renfrew. Also did not know that I had to register with Guest Services which is off site but walking distance from the seaside cottages and had to ask a staff who happened to be at the cottages but hopefully that will be a quick fix.

We loved the amazing ocean view and the cabin was lovely and clean. We had everything we needed. even the coffee in the room was excellent . The food in the pub was amazing !! Best fish and chips I’ve ever had and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a great place !

Only issue was a lack of privacy. The way the cabins are angled depending on which you have there is a serious lack of privacy. We were in number 5 and we had a neighbour peering into our window looking at the entire space several times and talking very loud on our shared deck. A screen between decks would go a long way to fix that and allow you to have your dog on the deck with you without worrying about a random person coming out onto the shared deck. A baby gate is not wide enough to close the area off and if there are small children that could be an issue.

Perfect location at the waterfront! Beautiful scenery, studio is larger then we expected based on the photographs, pub is very nearby with delicious food. We saw seals from our deck! Jacuzzi and fireplace were wonderful! Well equiped kitchenette, coffee and tea available, lovely soaps in the shower. Check-in and out were very easy. Staff is very kind and helpful, they checked out the tides for us to decide on best times for beach hikes. If you have any doubts: go ahead and book! We really loved it!

The studio’s are rather close to the large rental home, we were unlucky with very loud people renting that house, so no relaxing for us on the deck and jacuzzi when they were out. Extremely loud music, lot of laughter and alcohol. We ofcourse asked them to turn down the volume of the music, but we got laughed at. Felt very odd in the quiet peace of nature. There is not anyone of the staff on site who can manage situations like this or where you can go to at the later evening. There is a phone number for emergencies, but this was after the hours of reach for this number (und not sure this would count as an emergency ;)). Hopefully we were just unlucky! ;)

location, location, location! even though we had neighbors close by, it was still quiet and felt relatively private. loved having the water view and sounds right out the patio door. the gas grill on the patio was a plus for cooler weather. due to the remote location, having a kitchen was great. we appreciated that recycling and composting options were available in addition to trash.

the master bed (and all the living room furniture) was really soft. one of us had to sleep in the spare bedroom due to back issues and this bed was soft as well. there was no oven. we assumed full kitchen meant there would also be an oven. there was a microwave but it did not have a convection oven option as a substitute. the wall next to the sink needed food cleaned from it but the sink, stove top, fridge and bathrooms were very clean.

Wow! Beautifully appointed modern timber cottage right on the water in a picturesque small fishing town. 2 minute walk to the atmospheric local pub. Spectacular uninterrupted view of the bay. Close to the rest of town and a short drive to great walking tracks. Right on the water, with a fairly private deck with a hot tub and gas fireplace. Ideal for a short get away from Victoria or Vancouver. We loved it.

Nothing really but our cottage was elevated, requiring us to carry suitcases up some steep stairs. Some cottages at ground level but we preferred ours. Staff member at remotely located reception in town seemed bored and almost put out when checking us in. A friendly welcome doesn't cost anything!

We booked a studio cottage-wharf side for 3 nights. Our view was fantastic and we had a nice gas fire pit on our deck. You have to be aware that a lot of people pass by but that did not disturb us. We had nice chats with interesting people. The king size bed was very comfortable and our room had a nice little kitchenette.

The lady at the check-in could have been more friendly and welcoming. The cutlery and the floor were not very clean.
