The hotel is old but very very clean. We got an actual key for the room! While the rooms are modest and simple- there was a coffee station and a mini fridge available. The beds were comfortable- and the room was dark and silent. We slept very well. In the morning we opened the curtains and there were mountains and blues skies. The hotel is family owned and operated. We rolled in a little after 9pm and the owner kept their attached restaurant open to serve us dinner (even after it was closed and they were all cleaned up and ready to be done for the night). Best darn burger I had in a long time. I would stay there again.

I’m not positive but I think the rooms are all upstairs. We were in 119 and had to climb a flight to get there. Not a bad thing by any means but I don’t know if they had an elevator? It was late and was too tired to look lol

Amazing service! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The room was large, clean and quiet which made for a good sleep. Even though it was hot outside, the room remained very comfortably cool. The restaurant was also very nice with a really great beer and wine menu. We were very pleased with our stay!

The bathroom was a bit outdated but very clean and overall totally fine. Everything else was great :)

The location, New Denver, BC, is a very beautiful spot with the surrounding mountains. The staff at Valhalla Inn were excellent.

The Inn is dated, but I can appreciate that with this location it would be very expensive to complete upgrades. Don't go there expecting a 5 star hotel, this is a small town inn which is staffed by very nice people. I've seen comments complaining about "stink bugs". The inn does that these bugs, but if you live in this area, you realize they are everywhere and other than being a bit ugly they are harmless, and they don't move fast like the European Earwig which is also very common in this area.

The staff tried very hard to make us comfortable by setting up a portable A/C unit in the room during the extreme heat wave New Denver was experiencing. Unfortunately the power went out due to lightning from a thunderstorm -- several fires were also caused by the lightning. I would stay here again, its a beautiful location and town.

The shower head was a little low for anyone over 6ft. Parking lot out front is limited but extra parking is close.

Warm inviting atmosphere😊 Maggie was amazing and did everything possible to help make me and kitty and fish comfortable and enjoy our stay! Super comfy bed and pillows, A+ for cleanliness, and loved the tropical jungle feel of the lobby!!😃😃

The Inn is an older building, but the rooms were clean, and the beds comfortable. The main surprise was the restaurant attached to the Inn that was excellent for breakfast lunch and dinner. The staff of the Valhalla were very personable and we enjoyed our interactions with them. Wonderful gem for a place the size of New Denver.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The queen beds were comfortable but the sofa bed could be upgraded. My brother (76 years old) found he was a awake through the night off and on because of being a bit uncomfortable.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like, except for the early morning traffic which Valhalla Inn cannot control and neither can any other hotel/motel/inn. The weather was hot while travelling, but it did cool off enough during the night that we turned the provided fan off. If a fan had not been provided it could have been quite uncomfortable trying to fall asleep.

This family owned business is charming, and cared for. The rooms are clean and the food is very good. The family are extremely friendly and helpful and will go the extra mile. I enjoyed my stay!

Maybe some people wouldn't like the dated hotel but, I found it full of character and interesting and would stay again.

Breakfast was just the way i would make it myself. The owners are wonderful, honest hardworking folks.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom of room 20 needs some TLC. The bearing is worn.

Breakfast & lunch was great! Good food. Excellent service. Inn was located in the center of breathtaking mountains. Beautiful views.
