My room which overlooked the river was spacious, very clean and very well equipped. I really enjoyed the room. The common areas like lobby, lounge/bar and breakfast room with terrace were inviting. The reception staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfasts were fantastic. One of the best spreads I’ve experienced in ten plus years travelling in France, Spain and Portugal. The hotel was centrally located in relation to places in the historic centre that I wanted to visit.

I liked everything but some towel racks in the bathroom would make a modern and otherwise well fitted out bathroom even better.

The only negative I have relates to booking a taxi to return from the hotel to the station. On the way in I picked up a taxi from the rank and the charge was 11 euros. For ease I decided to book a taxi for the return. Pick up was great on time no issues. He asked whether it would be cash or card and I replied either (rookie error). So we decided cash. On arrival at the station drop off appeared to be not quite in the right location the charge was 30 euros. I thought he said 13 at first which would have been more than fine - but no he said 30! The difference in the two rates was somewhat surprising - the signage within the taxi was the same as on the way in, so my expectation was of a similar price. This was somewhat disappointing as the taxis driver was obviously know to hotel staff.

The location is so convenient for the older charming streets and houses. There are lovely cafes and restaurants close by and is an easy walk into the cathedral area in the center of the city. The room looking out on to the canal was magical, with wooden beamed ceiling. The breakfast was a delight. The room is on the top floor and has light coming in on 3 sides. Its large and so doesn't feel crowded no matter how many are there. There was a large area of breakfast items to choose from, breads, cheeses, cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, cold meats, fruit, juices and coffee. Lovely quality too, very tasty. For every member of the family there will be lots of choose from.

The location. Very close to the underground car park at Vrijdagmarkt, a short walk. There were lots of spaces even during the Christmas market and on a Friday night in minus 3 level. So happy. It was easy to check in. Room was very clean and comfortable, The breakfast was served in the top floor in a glassy airy room with 270 degree views. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The breakfast was good, a nice well presented selection of food to accommodate all tastes. It was winter, but in warmer weather there was a terrace where which would be a beautiful area to sit and eat and drink to look at the view. Again the location made it very easy to walk to all the major historic city sights. Many restaurants and bars nearby. Our room (317) was nice and large with a double aspect. Overall very happy.

Unfortunately our room on the top floor, a modern looking extension, had very thin walls. So much so we could hear people coughing and talking in the next room. I had a relaxing bath and could every word spoken by two ladies nearby in a separate room. The walls or celiling felt like it was paper thin. This definitely was not good and unexpected. I have stayed in hotels regularly for over 20 years and this is not happened to me for a long time. This was not pleasant when you were trying to relax. Secondly, we realised that we were very close to the breakfast room, so at 6.45am on the Saturday morning, I heard bangs and setting up noises being made in that room. It was impossible to relax and go back to sleep. Not what you want when you have paid to come away for a relaxing stay.

Location and place are great, close to the city center and places with good food. Beautiful view from the window to the channel. Cozy and clean room. Very quite. Nice and friendly staff.

There were small things - you have a heater in a bathroom but cord is way too short to get to the socket. When we came heating in the room was also off, so it took some time to get it to the normal temperature. There were three of us, but supplies were always for two.

Very good location, just round the corner from the main sites and also just by the river. The rooms were clean with original features of the building. The breakfast selection was also great albeit pricey.

Unfortunately our room was right under the restaurant so you can hear them setting up for breakfast early in the morning. Generally you can hear people in the room next to you sneezing, coughing and talking which was disruptive.

In the central, easy to reach with trams or on foot. Big room. Excellent breakfast on the top floor, nice view of the city. Very kind staff. Luggage room available. Separate heating for the bathroom.

The heating system is the same as the air-conditioning system, so the hot air is coming from almost the ceiling, hard to warm up the room. There was a huge piece of old metal, factory part just above the bed. We ended up moving the bed, because it was to strange to sleep under the sword of Democles.

The hotel boasts a prime location within easy walking distance of the vibrant Vrijdag Markt, Koren Markt, and various other noteworthy attractions. Our stay involved a loft-style room, which was a surprise as I expected a room as in the picture I saw when we had booked moreover, it was a challenge to haul our suitcases up a set of stairs. Notably, the room featured a fantastic coffee machine, which quickly became a highlight for me. While we chose not to have breakfast at the hotel, the overall experience was enjoyable. Throughout our journey, we stayed in various Hilton hotels across Belgium, and without reservation, I can attest that this particular establishment surpassed them significantly in terms of cleanliness and service. The attention to detail was impressive, as we were pleasantly surprised with amenities such as a stocked bar fridge, comfortable robes and slippers, and convenient coffee and tea-making facilities. To our delight, there were even tempting snacks available for purchase, adding an extra layer of convenience to our stay. Due to the occasionally inclement weather, we opted to stay indoors and declined housekeeping services. One standout aspect was the considerate gesture of our cleaner, who left a thoughtful basket outside our door containing fresh towels and additional tea and coffee sachets, enhancing our comfort during our stay.

We had hoped for a room with a picturesque view, but the loft-type accommodation was disappointing with two rooftop windows looking onto the hotel's red brick building. A notable drawback was the absence of a railing on the staircase, making it less secure. We did not like the narrow staircase as my husband was recovering from surgery and had to climb up and down the stairs every day. Another inconvenience was the inability to watch TV comfortably from bed, as we had to be seated in chairs to watch TV. They don't have an onsite restaurant but there are several places within a short walk from the hotel.

The comfort of the room, the nice location and the great breakfast. We recieved clean towels every day, the staff was very kind and friendly. The breakfast was really really good: large choice and delicious dishes.

The noise from the space outside the room filtered into the room. The air conditioning (or something) was a bit loud, but after a while you could get used to it. My bedside table was a bit dirty (it was smeared with something), I had to disinfect it after arrival.

Great location, quiet hotel, easy to get around, nice atmosphere, lovely view of the river. We always had a “do not disturb” sign on the door and still, fresh towels/toiletries were put in a basket for us outside of the room every day - loved that!

The heating took quite a while to actually heat the room up. Bathroom had a foul smell to it, the vent didn’t seem to work either.
