Very central, near Antwerp Central station and a few minutes walking from the main pedestrian area. The room was big, the matress and pillows very comfy. the bathroom was clean and towels and amenities were fine. Luggage storage, digital check in and check out were very easy using the computers in the lobby. You can have breakfast at the cafe inside the hotel or you can eat yours in the common area of the hotel, using the common kitchen and tables.

We stayed 5 nights, the maid came in only once. I don't care about making the beds or leaving me fresh towels, but the bin in the bathroom was too smal to use for 3 days. So, more often cleaning or a bigger bin for sanitary products would be fine. Also, the tv, didn't have any local channels, didn't have netflix, just some apps that you don't need. Ok I was there for holidays but I would also like to watch my team in the Champions League, even if it was in French or Dutch or whatever language

The hotel's location, while not central to a number of the heavily touristed sites in Antwerp, was located in a place that made accessing those sites by foot pretty easy. The hotel is also close to the trolley lines--convenient for those who prefer that mode of local transport (and it's possible to buy tickets online). I liked the ease of check-in, the spacious lobby with plenty of seating at simple tables and chairs, the CLEANLINESS OF MY ROOM, and the comfort of the bed(s). These factors make for a trouble-free, low-cost stay. The decor is twenty-first century industrial -- concrete ceilings, a kind of straw mat carpet underfoot. Not objectionable. There is a cafe adjacent to the lobby where you can buy a simple breakfast or lunch. I did this only once. And also, though there are no 'free' television stations, I could easily connect my ipad to the television screen wirelessly.

I suppose many would prefer a more 'present' staff. I think the hotel keeps costs down by performing check in and check out with a machine, but the nearby office is staffed if the machine doesn't entice the traveler. The hotel also keeps prices down by providing only the simplest amenities in the rooms. I travel with a very small kettle, so the lack of a kettle in the room doesn't bother me. There is also a kitchen on the main floor, and available laundry facilities, for those who need those home-ier services.

The place was modern and clean. The room with a balcony was very spacious, the balcony was great and the bathroom was nice. The partner cafe provided a good selection of good quality food and I particularly liked the small kitchen area for use outside of the cafe’s opening hours. The location of the hotel was perfect for getting to the central station and to walk into the town centre, while being in a quiet location.

The water pressure in the shower was a little weak but I suppose that could be expected given the room was on the top floor! Also, the floor was quite hard when walking barefoot or kneeling down to pack bags and there were no rugs or mats.

Great location, nice concept, clean and comfortable place, fully recommend. Self service, common area with shared kitchen space was great.

I was at a conference in Antwerp and stayed at the Citybox Hotel. I was very satisfied; the value for money was good. The rooms were clean, there were plenty of towels, and the lobby was also perfect for meetings or a coffee break. I was surprised by the small kitchenette with a refrigerator in the lobby, which served cheap coffee. I lost one star for two things: my balcony room on the top floor had a lot of pigeon droppings, and the green areas between the balconies were overgrown with weeds. The drains in the bathroom also smelled bad (which seems to be a general problem in Antwerp, though). All in all, it was a great stay, and I would come back anytime.

- The beds need some work - they're generally comfortable, but it's a better couch with quite thin mattresses that aren't secured/guided to the bed with a sheet or similar, and thus slide back and forth overnight. To exaggerate, half the mattress was on the bedside table in the morning - this doesn't affect comfort, but it is a bit annoying - Otherwise, everything was fine

The location was good. Close to the main bus station and 10 min walk to Central Station..the room was very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom clean. Restaurant is separate so pay separately for breakfast. Was staying for work so didn't have time to eat breakfast but it looked like there was a few options. There was also a kitchenette area in the lobby where guests could make tea/coffee, dishes and cutlery and heat up food.

It is self check in and kiosk not working when I arrived. It was late but there was still a member of staff available who helped but if any later she would be gone and the office closed.

Comfortable stay in a hotel with a different concept. Check-in and check-out can be done without staff intervention. Clean room with enough space and amenities, nice beds and shower, good soundproofing (at least in the room we were upgraded to). Nice communal kitchen with vending machines, including decent coffee, just don't forget to place a cup before paying. We really liked the breakfast café: good selection, especially if you prefer hearty breakfasts, and they serve breakfast items till 3 p.m., so not having to rush early is great and there's enough space as everyone comes at a different time.

We can't say that we didn't like it necessarily, but it's good to keep in mind some differences in the concept: you have to wait for an SMS with your code to be able to check in; there's no fridge in the room, but a shared one in the kitchen; there was a disclaimer that "luggage is stored at the guest’s own risk" (you don't need to ask the staff to access the luggage room) which was a bit of a concern but everything turned out fine. For TV lovers: unfortunately the hotel doesn't have cable and we struggled to get a YouTube account connected to the TV so we ended up not using it.

If you're traveling to Antwerp, I highly recommend booking this hotel. The location is excellent—just a 10-minute walk from the train station, 15 minutes to Grote Markt, and only 5 minutes to Meir shopping street. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the bathroom was fantastic. On the ground floor, there's a shared kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave, and kettle. You'll also find a vending machine and a coffee machine for added convenience. There's a small café where you can enjoy breakfast, including eggs, croissants, and more. For some fun, you can even play table tennis! The lobby is very pleasant and a great spot to get some work done on your laptop. I really enjoyed my stay at Citybox and would definitely stay again.

I liked the concept of the hotel, a lot of things are based on self service: self check-in and check-out, there’s a small kitchen on the ground floor with a huge fridge, which can be used by guests, plates, mugs, forks, spoons, a microwave, salt and pepper. Also there’s a vending machine with drinks and snacks, a coffeemaker (prices start with 1€). There’s a snack bar where you can buy smth to eat and drink. The room is quite spacious, clean and stylish. There’s a big smart TV set, quite fast WiFi, big and comfortable bed, air conditioning, very spacious shower, soap, towels, fan.

Might be noisy outside due to building/reconstruction nearby.
