We stayed in a standard queen room and I loved the feel of the room with the beautiful clay bricks. The room had everything you could need including tea/coffee making facilities, toaster and microwave oven. The room was clean and spacious, with lovely clean white sheets and a new reverse cycle Mitsubishi air conditioner. The way the motel rooms are planned out, everyone gets a view over the extensive gardens and you can't see the other rooms. The owners/managers were very friendly and were happy to chat about the motel's origins. We would recommend Malanda Lodge to others and will stay there again ourselves.

The bed was not great, certainly not the worst bed I've ever stayed in, but could really use a mattress topper or better still, to be replaced. If replacing it would be wonderful to upgrade to get a king bed. The bathroom floor mat had dirt stains that hadn't come out and a white face cloth that was no longer white, more brown, some of the linen could use a good soak in bleach.

I recently stayed in a motel room and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The room itself was beautiful—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. What really stood out, though, were the stunning grounds surrounding the property. The landscaping was well-maintained, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere Whether relaxing outside or simply enjoying the view from my window, the natural beauty of the surroundings added so much to the overall experience. I would definitely stay here again if we were ever in the area

From the moment I opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was beautifully decorated, and the view from the sliding glass door was a lovely bonus, with a nice sitting area. Everything was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully appointed, making it feel welcoming and comfortable. One of the standout features was the bed—it was easily one of the most comfortable we've experienced in any accommodation for quite some time. Overall, a fantastic stay. Highly recommend

Lovely quiet place to stay with friendly staff. We stayed in the renovated Deluxe Family Room and it was comfortable. The only facilities it has is a guest laundry and outside pool. It is a 30-40 minute drive from major towns like Atherton & Mareeba. Would stay here again.

Unfortunately due to it being Easter weekend we weren't able to experience the full menu at the restaurant on site, Pickle & Smoke. There was only a limited menu for the whole weekend so we only had dinner there one night. We also only got fresh towels once which was a bit disappointing considering we stayed for 3 nights and it was raining the whole time so the towels weren't drying. I can understand the staffing issues with it being a long weekend and not wanting to pay the staff but I always expect fresh towels each day no matter what.

Staff ,cleaners location very friendly

This was huge we didn't take much food due to there no kitchen on a microwave we where going to uses the motel restaurants but it was booked out the first with a smorgasbord time meal the secon night it was a privet function so for two nigth no availability with 3 children under 5 and a ganny and poppy weekend away with the grand children it was very disappointing, evey think was great apart from that the not being able to uses the restaurant 😉

A Serene Escape in Nature Our stay at this hotel was delightful! The forest-themed rooms, with warm green and brown tones, created a peaceful atmosphere. The huge manicured gardens added to the tranquility, offering a lush, serene environment.Everything was perfect. The dining area opposite the pool was perfect , with a beautiful waterfall feature that made every meal memorable. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and the staff friendly and attentive. Malanda rainforest walks and waterfall are only a few minutes away by car.

It was a very nice and clean room. The staff was very kind and helpful. They made up the room really neat for pur arrival with some wine glasses and a bottle of wine. The breakfast also was sufficient. The main building is also quite cosy and there were loads of beautiful birds.

There was a road close to the lodge with lots of trucks at night. Ofcourse the lodge can't help that but my advice to light sleepers would be to bring some ear plugs.

Loved this place! surrounded by beauty. The lodge has cozy country vibes and is well kept. The lady at reception was lovely. Restaurant was so nice with lots of little touches. it was only open for breakfast. The breakfast was basic but it was included with the great value price. Definitely want to stay again. Highly recommend.

Was sad the restaurant was closed for dinner due to unable to get staff. it would have been perfect.

Very tastefully appointed room with a beautiful view of the green park like property - with outdoor chairs and table on the terrace. Thoughtful little details e.g. a discreet night light in the bathroom. Lots of power outlets and good lighting with individual bedside reading lamps. Very generous and good quality toiletries. Restaurant was good - had a nice dinner and complementary continental breakfast. Enjoyed the stay despite bad weather.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy perhaps it could improve with a servicing. The bed wasn’t very comfortable - pokey springs.

Very comfortable room, nice beds, parking space right in front of the accommodation and a view into nature. Bathroom was large and comfortable as well. Located right along the main road.

Breakfast only starts at 8:30, which is really late if you have a long trip or activities planned for the day. No cell-phone reception (at least on our SIM-card/phone provider). Luckily an employee(?) appeared to help us check in, otherwise we'd have struggled.
