Great location in middle of town, could walk to everything. Next door to pub, short walk to RSL and bistro. Lovely pool area. Comfortable bed.

Shower was very noisy because the thermostatic mixing valves need servicing. (Hubby is a technician) Our room had no view of anything but a wall. Flashing LED light in bathroom.

We both like the office support and checking in. The room was well positioned and was clean. There were signs of age, but nothing that took away the stay. Overall great two nights.

The Friday night pool swimmers and local drinkers that kept us up until 2359.

Would have been nice to have a bigger fridge to fit my own food and drinks in, the fridge was small and filled with a mini bar items.

Breakfast menu was good, eggs many different ways. Baked coral fish and a cereal dish with yoghurt and fresh fruit. Location was right in the middle of town. No noise, very comfortable, private rooms side by side with our adult daughter. Great pool.

The pool was a lovely billabong like pool. The restaurant was very comfortable and with a better than expected menu given the remoteness of the location, the food was delicious and very well presented and the staff were friendly and helpful.

There is absolutely nothing to find fault with. I had accidentally booked the wrong date when we arrived so we ended up having to get a more expensive room than we had originally planned but this was not a big issue and the young lady on reception was very friendly, helpful and understanding..

Very comfortable and spacious in the 2 bedroom apartment. Pool was great and water was warm but not too warm. Food at the restaurant was amazing.

I got to sleep on the sofa bed which was a bit uncomfortable.

Bit disappointed that the deluxe room was on the street with outdoor access to a shared verandah. The reason I chose the deluxe room and not a standard room was for a private outdoor area which a lot of the rooms seemed to have. Our relaxing time at the pool was interrupted on the Saturday afternoon with a very rowdy group in the smoking section of the hotel (which adjoins the pool area) whose language was incredibly loud and offensive. It should have been very obvious to those behind the bar that they should have been asked to leave.

The meals (dinner and breakfast) were perhaps a little pricey but delicious. The pool was very attractive and the water was a lovely temperature for swimming. The bed was comfortable and the surroundings were quiet

Maybe some low-cost light meals could be available, but otherwise there is really nothing I felt was lacking.

Well located in Cooktown main street. Well appointed room. Pool area is outstanding, beautifully manicured garden surrounds. Two eating areas covering finer dining and pub food. Friendly staff. Unfortunate loss of water to the facility for most of a day due to a mains pipe breakage but the resort mada it up to guests with free drinks in the evening. A great save - well done.

No internal car parking. Car needed to be parked on the street.

Room we stayed was quite noisy one night from the pub patrons next door. A room quieter rom would have been nice. Shared balconies are not really practical. Can’t really use them. Room couch not all that comfortable
